After a few mins the unhappy lady took us next. We said we'd need a box since we were planning on getting 9-10 donuts. She snarked, "well I'll have to charge you $.50 for the box if you don't get a dozen." Yeah we saw the sign, but isn't that the cost of doing business?! They aren't charging for wax bags, plus I'm buying 10 items (~$16 worth) which should have the box factored in anyway at only .05 per donut... which is probably the cost of the wax bag they don't charge for! Enough statistical analysis. Then we ask about the chocolate covered Bavarian cream vs. the choc cov'd custard. That sent her into a tiff as she set us straight! Basically their Bav. cream is white & custard is yellow. But most examples online showed Bav. cream as a light yellowy custard! On the bright side most of what we got was tasty. Cinnamon roll & lemonade donut was the best.

There is a good selection of fresh donuts and some other baked goods. I also spotted day old donuts sold at a discount. They do offer drip coffee as well as espresso and matcha beverages. There was some confusion as to where to order as well as staff taking orders while helping customers. This resulted in a slightly slower delivery for me as I had to wait to pay as well as get my latte. A clearer workflow for the intake staff would likely clear up some confusion- especially when there is only 1 barista. There is no indoor seating but there are a couple of picnic tables outside which worked out great to enjoy our treats. Overall this was a nice snack break and everything our group enjoyed was delicious.

Drove there just for them, didn't buy. Donuts are pretty tasty and if I could I would buy them again but my diet doesn't allow. Never tried the cider but the jalapeño jelly is great with cream cheese and ritz. People are nice. Street to place would be better paved but for such the short time that the business is opened I understand why it's still unpaved. It's worth a try if you're around but there is an overuse of five stars to explain this farm since there could be a few improvements to any business imo. I recently stopped in on July 4th and picked up a dozen red, white and blue decorated cookies to bring to a friend's house that was entertaining. I found some with fireworks decorations and some with smiley faces. Needless to say, they were well received by the hostess and the guests enjoyed them. Even on a busy holiday morning, there were delicious looking donuts and baked goods, and the aroma brought back all kinds of emotions from my childhood too. Johan's is old school but that never goes out of style. Service was not the friendliest but it was not bad. You order at the counter and pay and you're out... easy peasy. While I took my cookies to go, there are some tables outside if you wanted to sit down for a few and enjoy your treats there.
