So many options! Things place I symboled on while visiting this adorable little town and now I order from them regularly online. Their chocolate Carmel covered apples are so good! AND they have so many options in both milk and dark. I'm a dark girl so this is my place. Soon as you walk in this place smells amazing of a light chocolate. We see delicious caramel apples. So many different kids of chocolate covers treats, fudge , popcorn and other candy. We got a chocolate bar and peanut butter bomb. Both tasted of a very smooth and creamy chocolate. Peanut butter was also a light , smooth and creamy taste. Tasted like a peanut butter/chocolate explosion in you mouth. Everything was done to perfection. Nothing tasted overwhelming. We will definitely be going back to try more. Stopped into the Chocolate Haus in downtown Gaylord to pick a few dark chocolate goodies while golfing up North at Treetops Resort. I was glad to see Gaylord's downtown vibrant, busy, and full of all kinds of unique independent shops. Alpine Chocolate Haus fit right in with the cool "Swiss Chalet" flavor characterizing so many businesses on Main Street. Their chocolate is outstanding and competitively priced. I also noted that they sell flavored popcorn including something I've never seen before...Super Hottttt!!! Ghost Pepper Caramel Corn. Tried a sample kernel and burned all the way home. so many people raved about the Alpine Chocolate haus so when we were in town for dinner we decided to skip dessert at the restaurant and try it. it's kind of cool inside because it has pictures and a bunch of stuff from yours past there is a lot of a variety of different chocolates but maybe it was because it's winter in the slow season the ice cream was not good it was weirdly melted around the top of both kinds that we got and it just tasted old and sticky or like it had been melted and then refrozen. I ended up just throwing away mine. I was too embarrassed to tell them how bad it was. read more

All of their treats are delicious, especially the truffles. The peanut butter truffles and the mint truffles were especially good. The caramel corn is also delicious and as well as the chocolate covered pretzels. Most of the items are a little of the prices side, but well worth it for an occasional treat. read more

The staff is really friendly, helping us with recommendations and making it an enjoyable experience. They have a huge selection of chocolate, both milk and dark, with all sorts of fillings and variations. They also have a great selection of ice cream and caramel & chocolate covered apples. The chocolate is GREAT. Like, so good that we had to come back to buy more within 10 minutes to buy more. The caramel melts in your mouth but doesn't overpower the chocolate, and all the flavors are just really well balanced. This is definitely some of the best chocolate I've had. The coffee/chocolate chip/caramel swirl ice cream was also really good. Again, they have so much variety that you could try something new every time for a while, which I think is really cool, especially because everything I've tried has been so good. read more

If you're in Gaylord you MUST visit the Chocolat Haus for some of their white chocolate boysenberry bark. I brought some back to my office and we all went ape over it. We also liked the Cherry Nutcracker (popped corn with dried northern Michigan cherries and caramel). The Cherry Brittle was a little too sweet for our taste. Gaylord locals tell me Chocolat Haus' toasted coconut marshmallows are the best, so try that as well. Staff were so nice and friendly and the store is very cute. Thumbs down experience. We walked in with our kid, obviously ready to spend money. You don't bring your kid into a candy store unless you're ready to swipe that credit card. The teenaged girls working didn't acknowledge us with even a hello. We walked back to get a scoop of ice cream for the kiddo and stood there for a few minutes while the girls watched us from behind the counter eating something together. One girl walked over and said "did you want ice cream?" Umm I'm not sure now actually because I feel like bothering you. But the kid wanted ice cream so we got a scoop and left never to return again. 2 stars because even bad service and cheap ice cream makes my little happy. Also please clean your soft serve machine. It looked so disgusting with piles of paper towels soaking up the leaking ice cream. Sick gross sick!! read more

We ordered some and had them shipped to Arkansas and Florida, picked them out and paid last weekend and both received them before this past weekend. I have never actually been in the store so this is more of a review for all the goodies I get from my Mom. Every Christmas and birthday she sends us the dark chocolate covered potato chips and gummy bears. So good!.The dark chocolate is rich and very satisfying. We used to get the larger gummy bears but lately she has been sending us the smaller ones. We like them but not as good as the bigger ones for some reason. I would suggest the bigger ones.
