I was in Portland last weekend visiting friends when my car unexpectedly broke down. After calling a tow truck, my mom ended towing it to Timbers Towing. I called and they said they would do their best to help me out. After dropping it off, they said they would get back to me the next day so that I could adjust my plans if necessary. Less than two hours later, they called me back explaining what was wrong and how much it would be to fix it. They didn't try to sell me anything else, which I really appreciated. I figured I would give them a call around noon the next day to see what progress had been made. To my surprise they called me at 11 AM to tell me my car was all ready to go! I rarely feel compelled to write reviews but the exceptional service I received upon calling Timbers Towing until they had completed getting my car and me on our way to where we needed to be was above and beyond! I was frantic when I called and already dreading the lengthy experience I had years ago when I last needed towing on a rainy night. Timbers Towing quickly gathered my information and calmly explained exactly what would take place (wait time, who my driver would be,experience with towing my car model, estimated price, ect). I was driving through Vancouver to Portland and my car happened to break down. This was the first time I ever had to deal with this kind of situation and I was in a hurry to get back to the city before dark. I used Timbers Towing recently while on a trip from BC to Portland with my partner and they went above and beyond my expectations. We had our engine seize on the busiest part of the highway just coming in to the city. The customer service was amazing from the initial call, everyone was friendly, gave us direct lines to get back to them in an emergency, LEGITIMATE time estimates and super reasonable rates for a busy holiday time. Travis came and picked us up, was empathetic, kind and quick to get us out of a dangerous spot. They took us down to the dealership and stayed with us till everything was sorted. After numerous phone calls and having other towing companies tell me I had a two hour wait, I took a chance on Timbers having not ever heard of them before. Let me tell you, it was the best decision I've made in a long time! Once explaining my situation to dispatch (locked out of my car due to a faulty alarm system), I was informed Jack was already on his way. After hours of tears, a missed meeting, practically everything I own in my car I'm sure you can imagine the relief I felt when I saw Jack's smiling face! He was extremely pleasant, very friendly. My Car broke down a few weeks ago in Downtown Portland, and I was referred to Timbers Towing company by a friend. I have to say Great Towing Company! They have excellent customer service and the staff is very friendly. They showed up immediately and their prices where very reasonable. They even gave me a number to a great Mechanic who fixed my Car the next day. I really like working on cars but I cant do everything myself. Sometimes I need to get my project cars towed from my place to a friends or mechanic. I thought I'd give Timbers a call since they were the closest. Since my car was lowered I had to specifically ask for the flat bed truck instead of the hook&chain, which was no problem for them. Nothing is more of a bummer than your car having issues when you're on the road home from a long day of work. Having to park it on the curb and wait hours for a tow truck makes it even worse.
