Upon arrival the wait wasn't bad for the area 20-30min. Once seated server was really nice. Very knowledgeable on the popularity of the items and even gave some recommendations of which I ended up ordering. It was the salmon with rice and veggies and the salmon was super good. Wasn't over cooked and the sauce was really good. He was very attentive and made sure we had refills and communicated about the wait time on our food. Stopped in here for a Halloween night bite to eat. Surprisingly there was no wait and we were immediately seated and waited on by our waiter. Ordered our drinks and within minutes they arrived. I ordered the ribs and Mac and cheese and my girlfriend ordered the steak and Mac and cheese. The wait for the food to arrive wasn't long at all. The ribs were good and the steak wasn't bad either. The Mac and cheese was pretty good but had to add some salt and pepper to give it a little more flavor. Overall the experience was good and we will probably return. The fried bologna was recommended by my server and it was a good choice. I liked the soft but toasted bread. The sweet potato fries were also good. They were nice and crispy. The burger was very rich and definitely different. I am glad I tried it but I think next time a regular cheeseburger is good enough for me. The best part of the meal was the Sweet Potato Fries. Mmmm......Crispy and perfectly sweet! They did not even need the accompanying marshmallow sauce, although I did enjoy some dipping! 14 year old ordered the Bacon Mac & Cheese Burger. Such a decadent burger. If you are a Mac & Cheese lover, get this burger! Husband ordered the ribs and was truly impressed ....meaty, tender, fall off the bone. 12 year old ordered an appetizer, Buffalo Shrimp. Beware, these shrimp are fried in hot sauce and pack quite a punch. My son loves spicy food, but these had a bit too much heat. I've become a bit spoiled with the service in this area. We are here yesterday for a late lunch. We only had to wait maybe five minutes for a table, which was the quickest we've been seated in Pigeon Forge all week so far. When we first went in, they were distancing parties by an empty table between; but by the time we left, they were no longer doing that. The food was delicious, but it was all a bit spicy. I suppose that may just be part of this particular restaurant's experience. The tomato basil rice was SO good! Our waitress was awesome, but I can't remember her name to give her a shoutout. She made sure we had drinks at all times and was very welcoming. The reason for the four stars is that the men's restroom was (according to my boyfriend) disgusting. He said there was toilet paper all over the floor, and it had a foul odor. I don't know about the women's, because neither I nor my daughter went in there. My sister and I were in town for some girl-time escapades. We were on The Island and decided to eat here. We got in Farley quick, 30 minutes give it take which is great for a Saturday night on the Island. Our server was super personable, fun and honest. My sister and I ordered the Fancy Chicken which was AMAZING! A must try! Our chicken cut like butter with a spoon and it was very flavorful. I got mashed potatoes and Bourbon. Asked beans. The mashed potatoes were OK-they needed a lot of butter. The Bourbon Baked beans we're definitely on point. My sister ordered the steamed broccoli and Cajun corn. She said the broccoli was great but the corn was awful. I looked at and tasted the corn which looked and tasted like can corn with a little bit of seasonings. Blah! No Bueno! She switched it for the green beans and she LOVED them. In fact, the green beans were so good that she wanted a second serving. My husband and I had eaten at every restaurant at The Island except this one, so we decided to give it a try. This has risen to the top as my favorite. We were seated immediately and our server took our drink order. When she came back we placed our orders and they were quickly served. The service was outstanding. I had a chicken pot pie and side salad. My husband had a bison burger and fries. I'm not usually a pot pie kind of person but the picture looked so good I had to try it. OMG, it was the bomb! Just the right size, awesome flavor, no veggies I didn't like, and a flaky crust. So good! And the salad was fabulous, too. The apple vinaigrette was excellent. My husband loved his bison burger and the basket of cornbread muffins they dropped off. The muffins were really thin and moist. Most cornbread seems to be dry but not these. Prices were typical of the area but based on the excellent service and quality of food we definitely will be putting Timberwood Grill on our list of restaurants to come back to. read more
