My closet was a…read morechallenging project, being small and featuring many angled walls that made it difficult to configure. My installer was Chris, and he did an excellent job! My experience with Closet World has been very positive, and I would suggest them. My advice to anyone considering a custom closet is to stay open-minded, and if revisions are needed, that's okay. We had to adjust my plan a few times, but now it's perfect. Thank you, Sharon and Chris! My advice for anyone looking to convert their closets: First, hire a skilled handyman to open up the closet if it's a closed concept like mine. Second, paint it. I chose white paint. Third, now it's prepped and ready to setup appt with designer. Fourth, be patient and understand that you might be without a closet for a little while because of their booking schedule. For families with kids, I recommend doing one closet at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself, as it's a process.

There was a minor hiccup during the install, but it was addressed and corrected right away without issue. They completed three closets, including removal of an existing unit, which made the process feel seamless overall. The finished closets look great and definitely improved the space. My only concern is with the materials and overall sturdiness. Since it's not solid wood, some of the shelving has a bit of give and doesn't feel as supportive as I expected. Overall, I'm happy with the look and the installation experience, but I do think the quality of materials could be improved for better durability.

We hired Tailored Closets to design and install four closets in our small home in Clairemont, and…read morewere glad we did. We also met with two other local/national companies to back up our ultimate decision. One of those was easy to let go of - the person who visited our house had strange personal habits and felt comfortable sitting on our bed and brushing pencil eraser bits onto our pillows. The second one came really close, and it was a hard final decision. They offered a different approach than Tailored and there were strong points to both. In the end, the connection we made with the designer, Nick, and his willingness to dive into the challenge, won us over. With our input, he came up with really great custom concepts including an entryway closet that had a couple elements that they don't typically do. One was an area where mail could drop from the mail slot, and the other was slide out shoe trays. We still look at those and smile. The on-site installers were great. The lead installer Cassidy was our main point of contact and did a great job. We'd done some other renovation prior to the closets, and our expectations for communication were formed by those other contractors. He was respectful throughout the install, patient with our questions, and always let us know what to expect. Personally, I also appreciated the way he worked with the other installers, too. He looked like a good mentor for the others. Kudos to him and the rest of the team, Luis, Kevin and Ismael. I'll be surprised if Luis isn't in a leadership role there soon! The installation was so professionally done, with plumb walls and level shelves, that it revealed how unlevel our flooring is. When that left some gaps, the company recommended a solution to mask that without changing the original design. Cassidy came back out, assisted by Victor, and made those updates in just a few hours. Overall, this was a great experience, and we recommend the company.

She provided us several options based on our use. She provided many color 3D renderings to help us visualize our dream closet. All work from tearout to installation was on-time as scheduled. Both crews were respectful, courteous, careful, cleaned up afterwards and did a fabulous job. The shelving and drawer materials are top of the line and look great!.

My husband and I were amazed by how fast she & her team whipped our kitchen, pantry, craft area, and utility closet into shape! Every single item was taken out, grouped, sorted, purged if needed, and put back into its new home. The flow of our kitchen works much better, and it is far easier to see what groceries I need or supplies I'm out of with the way they reorganized the pantry and cabinets. I am so happy with the results and would highly recommend Balance Home Organizing!

How do I quantify the AMAZING work Megan and her team did for our home?…read more It was crunch time, and I was expecting a third child. I knew I was on a deadline to get to organizing our home before our world turned upside down again with a newborn. Megan was so sweet, professional, and understanding of our needs and concerns and got to work right away with her team. She was not pushy, aggressive, or overly chatty as some others we interviewed were about the service. She patiently described how things worked, asked about how I'd like to approach dealing with the mess, and thoughtfully came up with a plan, a shopping list of materials (like boxes and storage units), and always, ALWAYS stayed lovely and professional. It was such a smooth process, and her team really made it easy for me to either keep, purge, or donate the clutter we had been collecting in our home for years. Every time I walk into one of our organized spaces, it brings so much more peace and joy than the stress from all the mess! We were so grateful for the whole process, and now that Megan has 'reset' part of our home, we we have been able to maintain things, as well as learning new tips/tricks on how to keep things better organized.

During the removal…read moreof the old closet, they damaged the drywall and proceeded to install the new system without addressing the damage. I had to bring in another professional to repair what they left behind. The workmanship did not justify the cost, and they failed to disclose that they do not take responsibility for wall damages caused during removal. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Update: I have to change my rating of this company because once I posted this review, the company got in touch, acknowledged the communication gaps, and refunded my repair expenses. I truly appreciate their responsiveness and commitment to resolving the issue.

I'm so bummed. So so bummed. If I could do this all over... I'd never contact this garbage company…read more Savana may have been great but wow her former colleagues failed her in representation. 1. If there's an issue on installation.. THEY WILL cover it with putty and WILL attempt to hide it. 2. They will NOT care about the cleanliness of their own work. 3. They will NOT troubleshoot first before destroying things. 4. They WILL destroy your carpet tacking. As a woman, I'm so mad and so disappointed. I emailed Jonathan to have my bottom shelf fixed under warranty and he sent the most disrespectful employee he had. This man destroyed my white carpet and laughed when i immediately started cleaning.. he said he wasn't a big deal. Nah man. It really is. After I asked him to lay a blanket down, he started drilling holes in my toe kick. He then turned around and told me "i can't remove it. You messed up putting the carpet up against it." I asked him to stop right there... and he used a pry bar and attempted to pry my brand new carpet up off the tack strip... i yelled at him to stop and asked him to leave (1st attempt).. he did not leave. He got on his phone and continued to pry at the tack strip. I told him to stop and asked him to leave. He ignored me again and put his hand up to wave me off. Told me he's going to take care of it and started yanking at the toe kick that now had a screw in it. Being a single female in my house... I immediately felt unsafe. I've asked this man twice now to leave my house and he's refusing. Now ignoring me and damaging my property. I panic, grab his tools and place them outside on my porch and tell him to get the **** out of my house and he hesitates. Really? I yell at him one more time to get out of my house and he finally looks at me, rolls his eyes, and slowly walks out to his van... that's completely blocking my driveway. Upon returning back to my closet, I see the carpet tacking has been destroyed and the carpet is now pulled back 1/4"+ from its original place.. I have a hole in my toe kick... silicone putty smeared everywhere... and a broken shelf. I paid $6k for this stupid closet and it's turned out to be a huge regret. To start destroying things before troubleshooting or stopping to ask questions..... to have the audacity to blame the customer when your company coordinated this entire project. Wild. I started to pursue a solution via litigation. Stay away from this company.
