My first dental visit since the pandemic. This has always been a great dentist for my family over more than 20 years. Jaclyn Martinez has taken over from her father, Tim Corcoran. I wondered how teeth cleaning could be done safely as virus spews from infected patients mouth and nose? I was impressed by the safety measures. I called in from my car out front and had to answer a questionnaire about health. When escorted in, my temperature was taken and I had to sign the printed health questions. Before being able to sit in the dental chair, I had to gargle a special mouth wash. All the staff caring for patients wore an n95 mask covered by a second fully disposable mask. Over this they had a face shield. The protective clothing was sanitized between patients. Special UV lights were installed in each work area to sanitize between patients. The air was circulated through a sanitizer 12 times an hour. Beyond all the high-tech antiviral steps, my hygienist, Rebecca, was concerned about how to help her young patients from being scared by the space suits. read more

I'm writing on behalf of myself and my daughter Angelique, we both have been going to Dr. Martinez for several years and we both recently had major dental work, I had a few crowns replaced with no side effects or pain , Angelique just completed her invisilign treatments and her teeth are beautiful as are mine, I would recommend this whole team for any dental needs, the staff is personable and friendly and always leave feeling like I was part of the family. Well, Dr. Martinez the daughter of legendary Dr. Cochran amazed me once again! Dr. Martinez did excellent work with removing my bridge I had for 10 yrs. She is so gentle, experienced, and such a GREAT dentist. I recommend her 100%. Ladies don't let your teeth go, if a tooth is missing or broke get it fixed! Go to Dr. Martinez. Like many others, I am not a fan of dentists... so I was dreading my first visit 8 years ago. I had seen another dentist locally that was recommended by a friend and did not like him at all. Dr Corcoran is a great dentist, he spent time with me at my first appointment to tell me what some of the options were to sort out a few issues. He gave me several options to choose from with his recommendation on what would be the best choice for the short and long term. My sons also see Dr Corcoran or his daughter, Dr Martinez. His office staff is always very helpful and cheerful - even when I walk in with that look of dread in my eyes. As great a dentist that he is - I'm still not a fan of the process. :) read more

I'm know a fan of going to the dentist. Last time I went( to another dentist) I kept having repeat horror of a time. I just thought this is how dentist are cause everyone hates the dentist. My last visit I was very nervous to get my fillings and they both reassured me everything will be okay and it was. I was so calm after laughing with them, and thanking them. I "love" my dentist for the past 27 years. Awesome practice with efficient and kind, long-term employees. The daughter of the dentist, Dr Jaclyn Corcoran-Martinez, just joined the practice and she is professional, kind and efficient as well. They are located in San Jose right off Hiway 85 near Santa Teresa - I live on the peninsula and yes it takes 25 minutes door to door but I'll drive that any-day for professional, pain-free dentistry (I always get the nitrous-oxide for cavities). I've been going to this dentist office for a few years now and I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is and what great dental care they've provided for me ... all the way from normal dental cleanings / checkups to invisalign and tooth whitening. If you can get in here for any work you're in good hands. The women in this dental office take special care of you and make sure you are comfortable. With a fear of dental work, they took extra care to ensure I was comfortable and relaxed. Just received my bill and the charges are on point. Kudos to Rosie for being there to ensure my comfort while Dr. Martinez gently examed and provided a crown. I had so much fear for this but I was pleasantly surprised by the very little amount of discomfort. Proper post care instructions were provided. Don't worry if you're scared, just go see these wonderful women and they'll take good care of you. read more

Fantastic Dentist!! I have not been to the Dentist in 13 years, and I came to him when I finally got enough strength to go. He was fabulous! He did not give me a hard time at all about not being at a dentist in so long. He cracked jokes while he was examining my teeth. GREAT GUY! I only went once to this dentist. When I made my appointment I told the receptionist I was in the very early stages of pregnancy. I was completely shocked at my appointment when ALL the staff were congratulating me and asking all kinds of questions. Not questions relevant to my medical or dental history which I could have understood but general stuff like whether I wanted a boy or a girl. I repeated time and time again that I hadn't had the all clear from my Dr so I didn't really want to talk about it. This didn't stop anyone and it went so far that the other patients in the seats next to me were commenting too. I know this isn't a medical doctor but I still expect my patient confidentialitly to be respected. My family didn't even know I was pregnant so I felt really horrible talking to complete strangers about it. The actual dentist is probably very good. I found him to be quite a know it all and condescending. I went there to have a check up and mentioned my wisdom tooth was hurting and I'd like it out. He didn't seem interested in that and instead spent considerable time trying to sell me on orthodontic work - which surprise surprise he could do for me too. A few days after my appointment I called to cancel my other scheduled ones. The receptionist didn't seem surprised or interested at all. She didn't even ask why I wanted to cancel them. At this point I felt sure I had made the right choice with not returning to this place. read more

The office runs like clockwork, and everyone who works there is all smiles! It is everything you could ask for from a dental practice.

I used to see this dentist. Until one day my insurance changed and I gave my new insurance card to the gal at the front desk. As I sat down in the crowded waiting room, I overheard the receptionist on the phone with my insurance company. She then proceeded to give all my pertinent information, name, date of birth, and SS# to the person on the phone in a loud enough voice for the entire waiting room to hear. Call me crazy, but this seems like a super no-no with all the identity theft going around and confidentiality requirements in healthcare! I was really upset and I talked to her about it. She said she always did this and there was no other space for her to make these calls! I even talked to the Dr. Corcoran and explained my concern about identity theft. He told me they did not have other space for the receptionist to make this call. I told him he could convert space already in use so that there was a private spot for them to do this. He told me "not to worry. We know all our patients!" Really? You KNOW that you have no thieves or otherwise unscrupulous people as your patients? I left and never went back. Any office that cares so little about their patient's confidential information does not deserve to get business! Yes, it would hurt them financially to give up a spot that a hygienist uses and convert it to an office, but if they cared about their patients and not just about making a buck they would do this. read more

He's just awesome. My husband and I have been going to him for almost 10 years. His expertise is second to none and his entire office is top notch. We moved out of San Jose several years ago and have never looked for a new dentist more local to us. Totally worth the drive. We're looking forward to many more years with him and are thrilled to see that his daughter Dr. Martinez is with the practice now too. I came to Dr Corcorans office throughout my childhood but once we switched insurances I had to change dentists. I came back as an adult and was greeted with familiar faces. Everyone who works in this office has been working there for years and they are all really friendly and great at what they do. I went in to get braces and requested Rosie to be the person to change my wire and tighten them whenever I went in. Rosie is truly amazing at what she does and is very passionate about it. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease every time I went in and would always accommodate me into her day whenever I would call last minute asking if they could fix my wire, due to it poking out and cutting me at times like they tend to do when you have braces. Dr. Corcoran is a really great dentist as well but you interact more with the staff. I believe his staff is what makes this office so successful. I am truly grateful for my experience there and truly grateful to Rosie for her patience and help. She was amazing ! I would highly recommend this dental office and I already have referred at least 5 coworkers. I have a great smile now thanks to them ! read more

My daughter has seen Dr. Corcoran for 15 years. I trust his competence and that of his staff. The officer is super clean. Never kept waiting for long (maybe a couple rare occasions I waited 20 minutes). I need to schedule appointments way in advance though. I would highly recommend. read more

I moved a few years ago from Orange County to the Bay Area when I was in the middle of orthodontic treatment. Until recently, I have not had a problem with driving back home once every 6-8 weeks for my adjustments until the end of my treatment several months ago when I needed to have my power chained replaced every few weeks (a 5 minute job at the most). At first we weren't sure what I could do since I couldn't make that drive every 2 weeks. I called a number of local of orthodontic offices and none of them would help me out (even if I paid them). Then my orthodontist made a call to Dr. Corcoran's office and they were more than happy to help me out. Not only that, but they said they would help me out free of charge. I couldn't believe their kindness. The receptionist was the sweetest person every time I called to schedule a time to come in. Even though Dr. Corcoran did not need to see me (the dental assistant would change my power chain for me), he would still come in, take a look at my teeth, and make small talk with me. Every person I encountered at this office was kind and very helpful. I offered to pay them for their time, but they always refused. Ironically, I will be moving back to Orange County in a few months and will have my braces removed next month...yay! But if I wasn't moving, this is the office that I would go to for any future services. It's clean, easy to schedule appointments, and you can't find friendlier/more helpful people who aren't just in it for the money. read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years (yikes!!). I get extreme anxiety and deep fear at just the thought of a dentist. Well, I was forced to finally see a dentist because of very bad toothaches I was having. I chose this office from my insurance directory because of it's location from my house and job. Not knowing what to expect or even how clean the office would be, this heightened my anxiety. From the second I walked in the door, some of my anxiety was relieved. All staff members were great & the office is very clean (YAY!!). Dr. Corcoran then came in to view my xrays, and immediately started working on me to get me out of pain. The one key thing I found most valuable, is that not once did I feel judged for not having gone to the dentist in so long. This alone helped tremendously in getting comfortable. I ended up having to have dual root canals (very painful), but now I am relieved of the pain, and on my way to making sure that I don't give up on my treatment again - because of how comfortable he and the staff made me feel.
