The corned beef on my Ruben was dry, stiff and tasteless. I was also charged $3.50 for soda WATER.... That's always what I order to drink and I've never been charged $3.50 for WATER......... The table was also sticky and didn't appear to have ever been wiped before. The only good thing was our server, she was very kind and attentive. We were seated right away, but sat there for 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. There was plenty of wait staff around, but most seemed to be moving in slow motion and appeared not too enthused to be there. A couple of tables opened up and others were seated and attended to, but still we saw no one. After this, we got up and left. Nice pub by Great Wolf Lodge. It is a clean pub with friendly service. We were a party of four and tried their thirty wing platter and the wings were good,even the ghost pepper sauce. Their Brussels sprout, tater tots, and truffle fries were delicious and so were their french onion soup. Definitely would come back here again. read more

Great food, good portions. I had a burger and part of a chicken wrap. Not picky on how cooked my burger is but I told them I wanted it medium but it ended up quite pink on the inside. Regardless, I'd excuse it because it was a massive 1/2 lb burger and it tasted great. The chicken wrap on the other hand I would not recommend. I hardly got any chicken, mostly just the fried batter. A great place to stop after Great America, but don't wait until Great America closes. They get busy. My wife and I enjoyed the Bacon Jam burger thoroughly. One of our favorite burgers anywhere. My daughter also split the Shepherds Pie which was phenomenal, with big hunks of beef. Corned beef sandwich was good. Cheese curds and fried pickles to start fit the bill. And of course the beer was on point. Oh and our cheese curds came with a couple pieces of fish mixed in by mistake. Stopped at O'Tooles at around 10:00PM on a Saturday night. It wasn't super busy. Service was a a bit slow and the food was just okay. I had gluten free orange chicken that was supposed to come with sticky rice, but the rice was not "sticky" rice, it was just white rice that wasn't all that good. I'm glad they have options that meet different dietary needs but for a $15-16 dish, it just wasn't that good. I would still recommend O'Tooles because their other locations are great, this just may have been an off night. read more

You can never go wrong with Tim's. Great service, great selection of beers and great food. I ordered the turkey club on rye and fries. Tried their beer of the month from Liquid Love Brewing. It was good but then had Revolution Anti-Hero. The sandwich was good. Came out rather quickly. Also had an order of fried pickles (not pictured). Fried pickles with their chipotle mayo is my family's favorite. Tim's really has become our go to place. They never disappoint, service is great and their food is wonderful. Fist time at the Gurnee Timothy OTooles in Gurnee. We've eaten several times at the downtown location. Food was excellent. Our server was very attentive and friendly. If we were to have a complaint it would be that we had to wait quite awhile for our food which was hard because we had 2 babies. We didn't complain to anyone because we know the restaurants are short staffed. We went on a Saturday night which is usually a popular night to dine out. I use to go to Timothy O'Toole's in Gurnee for years. Recently the service, especially at the bar has gone down hill. Went in today and a new bartender was having her first day behind the bar on her own. Obviously she was not fully trained nor was she properly supervised. Now I don't blame her, she was trying her hardest however her managers were useless. They offered no help when she got slammed. Nor did they offer to help her by taking orders or checks. What really makes me mad is they did the "I don't see you" glance around the bar. They were more interested in having "other really important" things to do. Some customers walked out after ordering lunch, sadly the orders came too late and after they left. One customer who didn't want to see food wasted took the order. Hopefully, he wasn't charged the full price. We waited almost 10 minutes before we got our first beer. Then it took almost 15 minutes before she took our lunch order. This has happened a lot in the past causing my friend to offer the idea that this is a management issue i.e., don't check in with the customer until they finished their first beer and are into their second. Hopefully this isn't true. The food which use to be good was ok, but not for the price. Frankly we've gone to another restaurant got better service and much better food of much less price wise. I was a good customer for years most every Sunday or Saturday and every Friday, knew the bartenders and they knew me. We got together with some of my extended relatives for lunch and met here.. Service was great and the food was really really good. We all started by sharing a couple of appetizers. We gobbled up the dill pickle fries and the endless chips and salsa (special on Tuesdays). I had the Reuben which had a copious amount of corned beef yet the sandwich was well balanced with the amount of cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. Conversely, my wife ordered the corned beef sandwich and it had far less corned beef but was still very tasty. All of the staff are very accomodating and friendly. Our waitress was really on point, taking great care of us. The only reason they didn't get a fifth star is the meager amount of corned beef on my wife's sandwich. This won't deter us from going back. Came here with my girlfriend on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The restaurant was packed, but we were able to get seating at the bar and even though bartenders were extremely busy our drinks were always full, and the food came fast. My girlfriend got the orange chicken plate and we were BLOWN away by how flavorful it came out to be! I myself had a cheeseburger and had zero complaints.
