Also, the size of the salad made me feel bad because it was huge and I hate wasting food, so if you get a salad plan on sharing it unless you're hungry like the wolf. They said it's a health code violation and even when we asked if we could sit outside they refused. They were not kind and were extremely unprofessional. My husband had wings and ribs here and thought they were very good. I had a fish and chips unfortunately wasn't very good. We haven't been back here since it was the Monkey Dish; but we are big fans of the Lake Villa location. First off the space is laid out oddly- it's hard to find a table that you can see the TV's well so we ended up sitting at the bar. It's VERY nice that they have a separate menu of Lenten specials- I tried the Lime Shrimp Rice Bowl which was very tasty and visually appealing. Generous pours on drinks- I was a bit surprised to be honest. The place seemed understaffed; a wait for service wasn't horrible- but we had to ask for service when we needed it. IE: I asked for ice water when I ordered my drink and my wife asked for a refill of her water. I got my water but we didn't get the refill that was asked for. We had to snag the bartender on her next pass and ask for the refill again. One thing left me scratching my head- this location is an official Blackhawks bar. We had to ask several times to have the game on one of the TV's. The person we asked didn't know what channel the game was on, so I looked it up on the TV Guide App. I would have thought that an "Official Blackhawks Bar" would know what channel the game was on and would have automatically switched a certain number of the TV's the the Hawks Game. We were left with mixed feelings about our visit- for the few miles difference, we're inclined to go to Lake Villa next time. read more

Really disappointed in my experience, we went in today at 6:25 and we were seated right away and ordered our food. We had been waiting for almost an hour, and nobody checked on us. We seen other people got their food before us so we wanted to know how much longer we had. We called over our waitress and asked her how much longer it would be, she said not too much longer and that she would go check on it right away. She comes back and asks what time did we order and what was our order again, because she had misplaced our ticket. The manager came over and said that she threw away our ticket or something. I came here with a group of 9 after spending the day at Six Flags. There is an extensive menu which made it easy to satisfy everyone's preference. We were seated right away and our waiter was really nice. The food was great, everyone was happy with what they had ordered. I'm glad I substituted my fries with the garlic Parmesan! The AC was cold but that is appreciated. The decor was 10/10 with new booths and the bathrooms were CLEAN!! Managers were walking around busy and attentive. Took nearly ten minutes after being seated to have our drink order taken and when we got our food, our daughter was given a hamburger with peanut butter. She is allergic so we alerted another server since ours was nowhere to be seen. That server promptly tried to fix and place correct order. We went to six flags for the day and wanted to eat outside of the park. Found this place on Yelp. Let me start with our server- she was amazing. I feel like the service you receive can sometimes make or break a visit. Our sever was nice, peppy, knew the menu well, and was very attentive. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Now on to the food: We started with a wing basket- maple bourbon bbq flavor. The wings were delicious. A lot of times, my problem is the wing itself isn't cooked crispy enough. When the sauce is added, they get soggy. That was not the case! The wings were a perfect combination of crispy and saucy. For our entrees, we both had a wrap. The buffalo chicken wrap was stuffed with a generous amount of grilled chicken, lettuce, blue cheese, celery, hot sauce, etc. It was accompanied by a generous (very well looking I must add) salad. The salad exceeded my expectations considering the place seemed of a upscale sports bar. The fries were delightedly fluffy inside and crispy of the outside. The place was clean, well lit, comfortable temperature, professional employees, had over 33 tap beers, and great food. What more can you ask for?! read more
