During an out of town work trip, my vehicle (VW Passat) started acting funny on the day I was supposed to leave and head back down to Houston. Found Tim's online and was convinced by both the good reviews and the proximity to where I was staying. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and also knowledgeable about potential issues, which reassured me immediately. Side note: They offered shuttle service to and from my hotel, but I chose to walk because I've been eating like a real idiot during this trip :). However, it was nice to know that it was an option. Diagnosis and solution was quick and efficient, and they even talked to me about future steps to prevent the issue moving forward. Best auto repair shop experience ever! DO NOT GO HERE the customer service plus service hourly pay is WILD 150$ plus when I called to check in on the car I was met with attitude and mean comments about the state on my license plate. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY ARE AWFUL. He was talking about he needs to check on it, it takes one whole day and he needs to drive 10 to 20 miles just to make sure. read more

Honest! which is exactly what you want from repair technicians of any kind, the wholehearted fact that they were so friendly and pleasant from the time I first called (tim answered) to the time I picked up is just a bonus,,,I took my car in after getting a crazy high quote from another company and not only did I save money, I found out that the problem with my car was something totally different from what the other company told me...Tim and the gang fixed it cheaper and on the same day . I have a diesel and got distracted while putting DEF fluid into it. I accidentally put the DEF in the fuel tank. Knowing that running the engine would ruin it, I called Tim's. Tim's quickly dispatched a tow truck driver and jumped into fixing my truck. They had me up and running within the day. The team was friendly and thorough. Their price was affordable. I went to Tim's shop to fix a particular problem I was having. He told me he fixed the problem and recommended two more repairs that needed to be done to make the car driveable, so I authorized those 3 repairs all together, costing around $750. A week later I was having the same problem as before so I took it back to have them look at it. $129 later he tells me it's something different than before, even though it was acting up the exact same way (same symptoms). He then said they weren't sure what the problem was, ranging anywhere from a $400 filter to a $6,000 transmission. Since my car was old and had alot of miles, I decided to get a new one. However, Tim refused to give me any sort of refund for my previous repairs. I explained to him the only reason I got the repairs done was because he said he fixed the problem and I was planning on keeping the car. But it turned out he didn't fix the problem and couldn't find the exact problem so I was almost forced to get a new car. The fact the he charged me around $900 all together and my car still wasn't working, made me irate and furious. I will never go back to him again or refer him. We certainly got ripped off by Tim. He goes on and on about how wonderful he is and what comprehensive work he does, and we spent nearly $1000 to fix the transmission problems the car was having. When the same problem started occuring a couple of days later and we took the car back, he then wanted to charge us nearly $2000 more because this was now a different problem. Reasonable discussions led no where. Huge red flag... I wouldn't send anyone there. read more

Tim's auto repair is a nightmare. They do not diagnose mechanical problems, they just change parts and charge a lot of money. I spent over 1,500.00 there over the course of 6 weeks and they still did not fix the problem. My 2002 would not pass inspection, so I took it to these shysters. They put a new computer in it, new sensors..etc . When I had finally had enough, I took it to a dealership and the problem was in the transmission! Steer clear of this shop as they are dishonest. read more
