The reason why this guy probably missed out on servicing you is because he is unorganized and is by himself doing jobs that would normally cost you plenty of dollars more by other locksmiths. OK...so communication is not his forte ala Asian "nerdy locksmith", However, if you want something done and for cheap you need not go anywhere else. I have a LEXUS that my wife lost keys for, was quoted 150-400 dollars by other Locksmiths all over Orange County, with claims that special equipment and crap was needed to do the "laser cut keys". After 10-15 calls all over, I get to TIN and he says...I can't get to you but if you can get to me I can do it for $75.00. NOW, that's to cut and program the damn blank key (bought the blank key with transmitter on EBAY 29.99) Took the car down to TIN and got in line. Small shack, and van in a Strip Mall full of Vietnamese coffee houses and across the parking lot market was the location...a can't miss. However, if you ask Mr.JOHN I believe...he is hard to understand over the phone (directions) . Took 45 minutes out in the sun (Hot weather here lately) and DONE! Was a happy camper I did not have to spend extra money for some other locksmith. SO if you need your CAR KEYS done...no need to call anywhere else.... A friend of mine referred me to Tins Locksmith. I've always passed this street but never noticed his little spot til I had to search for it. I bought a DIY self key for my Scion tC and he shook his head that I did that because most people who bring their own key to get cut by eBay selling remote control keys never really worked. I was kinda bummed that he couldn't make it happen but at least I have a copy of a key. The cut was $4.00. Also I needed to replace my 10 year old key battery which was $7.00. He tried to put together my flip key I bought but he couldn't get the buttons to work so he told me he had a key just exactly as my scion TC he can cut and install and said $20.00 with a laugh and an apology. That was not a problem for me. Id rather have a professional work on my keys for way less than what a dealership will charge. Plus I was going to install the buttons from my old key to my DIY self key and if I did that I would probably out a car for a few days without a key lol thank you, many people have seen me post a photo of the job done so expect to see many people come by for your service :) read more

Another great service done by this guy. Locked my keys in my car again and to top it off, managed to lock my spare in there with em. Called him up and was told since I was a good distance away, that it would cost a bit extra and to check local first to see if I could get any better prices before calling back. That's a point for honesty right there. Found a place doing it for about $10 more and only went with them cause they were close. 1 hour later, they still hadn't showed so I gave Tin a call. i want to give 10 stars!!! i got my 2010 used toyota rav4 with only 1 remote key. toyota dealer rip off price for an extra one is $400 and they only program factory key, not ebay key. i also checked with many locksmiths, they said they can only duplicate a key to start the engine but they dont have the equipment to program the remote key with alarm and door lock. i was so frustrated until i found tin locksmiths... the guy i talked to was kwa/qwa. he is so nice and pro. i called him before i went there. he said he was able to help to duplicate the ebay remote key and it only took him about 5-10 mins! and the price is only 1/4 of dealer quote. it is worth to get a long drive, superb!! read more

After calling around to several locksmiths ( and the dealer), I decided to go to this place for a replacement of my spare key for my Lexus ES350, which I had misplaced. Even though they are about a 45 minute drive from my house, they quoted me by far the best price over the phone for a remote, programming and cutting a key. They were friendly and professional, and though very busy on a Saturday afternoon (three customers ahead of me just to have their remotes programmed~about an hour wait), took my name and number and said they would call when they were ready for me. Even though it was 5 minutes until their posted closing time, they called and took care of me right away. It took about 1/2 hour to program the remote and cut the key, but they double checked twice that everything was working properly before having me leave. I saved over $150 by coming here and it was well worth the drive. Highly recommend! read more
