Honestly, we went to Mane Attractions because it was very conveniently located to our home. From day one, Tamra treated us like family, made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Her prices were more than fair and the results were excellent. I often kidded my wife that "Picky" was her middle name because, well, she was. But Miss Picky was Tamra's client until her death in 2013 and I'm still one. Wouldn't think of going to anyone else. I remember a time when we were both ill and had to cancel an appointment; that evening Tamra brought us homemade soup. How many times has your stylist done that for you? I was cut off with a very snotty and short, "We don't do that here!", and was promptly hung up on. Mean while I call a competing salon in town. A) They know exactly what I mean when I say color lift. B) They are more then friendly, and allow me to explain my hair situation C) They give me a price point to start the process. I am not sure how well off the owner of Mane Attraction is, but coming back to Kerrville, and being treated in such a way by someone running a business is a bit shocking. In running a business it is hard to attract new customer in this economy, and this doesn't go very far in making me want to spend money in your establishment. So hopefully, other people's experiences are better, but I will be taking my hard earned dollar some place it is appreciated.

You don't find these kind of…read moreBarber shops anymore in most places and this one here is just this small place with the one barber that also knows all the towns news, that knows everyone that lives there and that will remember you after your first visit. This is my 2nd time there and it feels like I am going there for years. He knows what we talked about the last time and he is very friendly and takes his time with everyone. This of course means if you need fast hair cut you might want to go somewhere else. The people there are also very friendly and you can start a conversation with everyone, or when I was there one of the guys showed others an awesome picture he just saw in one of the magazines you can read. The library is just next door, maybe he gets them from there. As a new service he know has someone that will color your hair, so there were two women that got that done. I will go back when I can as this is just better than the other stuff I had done before.

Only reason for the 4 star rating is that I still have some visible calluses left, which is understandable because I got the cheapest pedicure and my feet weren't in the best shape.
