Tina Desserts is an absolute gem! Every dessert is made with so much love and creativity--you can taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The cakes are light, moist, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, while the entrees and appetizers are just as amazing. The service is prompt and welcoming, There's street parking and couple spots in and back. Tina Desserts never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Finally got to try their food. The place actually specializes more with rice dishes instead of the typical pho (which is still available but with limited variety). I was told to try their glutinous rice dishes, and wow they sure are good. I think everything is made in house, including the meatballs. The portions are a bit on the small side, so something to keep in mind. The bigger problem which left the ick is that the waitress served the wrong dishes (swapped) to my buddy and me, even when I asked for confirmation. She just shrugged and ignored us. Honestly this was pretty unacceptable, and we didn't know it was swapped for sure as one dish arrived several minutes before the other. Guess it was ultimately still our responsibility, but how would the waitress not know which dish she was serving? So now I have to come back again to try the dish I originally wanted to try. Knock 1 star off. Oh yeah, they ran out of the dessert my buddy wanted to try. This is actually the 2nd time (2 of 2) they ran out of the same dessert. Either they forgot to stock up, or the dessert is really that popular. Oh well, something for next time.

This is not just a dessert place. All these time, I thought they only serve desserts until my friend brought me here. I am amazed by the interesting dishes that I have never seen in a Vietnamese restaurant before. I must admit that the menu is huge with over 200 items and I am not familiar with a lot of the dishes. I highly recommend their deep fried pho noodles with beef and veggie stir fry and their deep fried chicken wings. I have never seen the fried pho noodle dish before. It is definitely worth trying! Their wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. When we went the place was quite busy but our food came out pretty fast. The place is good for small group and big group. They have 2 large tables in the back.

If you want straight vietnam vibes, you need to check out this gem. Love that they open till pretty late and play really awesome music and serve the best mango sticky rice when it's actually in season, otherwise the mangos are a bit sour but you can always add a scoop of icecream to balance it out. If mango isn't your thing, they have a wide selection of other desserts and plenty of food options . Seating is interesting. There are some bigger tables where you will need to take your shoes off to sit. Parking is all street. This restaurant is highly populated so be prepared to possibly wait or if you're lucky enough you might get seated almost instantly when getting there. (Rainy day) They take either cash or debit. Service is they also sell ready to eat treats that you can take on the go with you.

So happy to be back trying new desserts after having dinner in the area. Tried out the glutinous rice stuffed jackfruit which was a unique take on mango sticky rice. The jackfruit was super fresh and sweet but the glutinous rice was undercooked for my liking. The dessert soups had the perfect amount of sweetness and we loved all the toppings in it. Overall we enjoyed our experience. The only thing that bothered us was that took away from our visit was that we ordered less desserts than the number of people and they said that they would not provide us with sharing bowls. We ended up using our drinking cups to share which was fine but we found that policy odd. There wasn't anything on the menu that suggested minimum spend/order per person so this caught us off guard.

I have been to Tina's a handful of times - and each time they didn't fail to impress. Plenty of parking along Kingsway and a bus stop is also nearby for the transit users. - They are opened late so that's a plus! They are very authentic to there Vietnamese roots, so they are normally playing Vietnamese music or instrumentals. There desserts are amazing - mango sticky rice is a must - during the in season months. There Vietnamese ice coffee is so good, and they will adjust it to your liking - so ask for additional condensed milk if your into the sweet, or ask for a stronger coffee taste if that's what you need - it will keep you wired! The beef was melt in your month heaven for the beef stew w/ red noodles. Oh, i can go on about the good stuff on the menu - go and try for yourself!

Another big name, hole in the wall, PACKED, place on kingsway. This place is wild, by that I mean the open past midnight, have the most extensive dessert and drinks menu, AND offers a large savory dinner menu as well. Mind blown. There seems to be always a short line waiting for a table here, and we casually stumbled in for a quick dessert. Our limited knowledge in the realm of Vietnamese dessert was a tad overwhelmed, so we just picked simple items. I thunk our order was forgotten so we waited much much longer to be served. I essentially asked for chendol coconut drink not knowing which item # I actually ordered (lol). To my surprise my chendol ice was huge. It was refreshing but also too much after a few bites. It was the first time I had a salty green bean paste in a dessert dish, I wasn't used to the grittiness it added to the rest of the dessert and didn't get too far with it regardless. The soursop drink was a nice refresher! I also stumbled on the Yelp checkin coupon yielding a comp dessert item but is not long recognized after confirmation by the cashier. Oh well!

I will be neutral about this place. We ordered a bunch of dishes to try out. Some dishes are okay, the chicken wings were a little tough but had good flavor, the rice dish was ok. A smaller restaurant with some parking in the back. Plenty of street parking around the area. Tables are seated rather close as well. The service was ok. Wasn't really attentive imo .

Came to this gem of a place and wondered how the heck I didn't come in here earlier. Vibe is casual, friendly and circa early 2000s. They have a fair number of tables and a few larger ones where you have to take off your shoes to get to your seat. Warning for those wearing slip on sandals and iffy about stepping barefoot on floor /restaurant surfaces. This place gets busy and bumping at night. Plan accordingly. The menu is quite extensive and holds many "authentic Vietnamese options" whilst pricing is on the reasonable side. Tofu La Nep Tran Chau Duong Den - Pandan Tofu with Brown Sugar Pearl in Coconut Milk. - This was much greener in person than the menu picture. Not overly sweet and perfect if you are looking for a light bite after already eating dinner elsewhere. Xoi Xoai - Mango Sticky Rice - if you're a fan of mango, you will love this. Loaded with so much mango. Definitely more generous than many other eateries that serve the same dish. Please do note that this is NOT the Thai version. I personally prefer the Vietnamese version more. The rice is generally my preferred texture. Fried Squid - nicely fried, fairly large size tentacled pieces. Honestly, I'll be a return customer just for their dessert options but the other food items has me needing to return soon.

The deep fried pho is quite good but not reminiscent of pho at all. Expect to eat fried mochi pieces with savoury sauce and you'll be happy. I thought it was yummy! Just not what I'd want if craving pho. We also got their banh cuon and it was so fresh and lovely! I did ask for no nuts on anything and my banh cuon initially came with a peanut on top for some reason. But they apologized when I pointed that out and brought me out a fresh one with truly no nuts. Just something to be mindful on if you have allergies. We have to come back to try more of their dessert but we had their banana split and they sprinkle these delicious coconut flakes on it.

After a disappointing meal elsewhere we came with some friends to Tina Cake Desserts. With their enormous menu and unique flavor combinations, there was no disappointment here. I ordered the House Special Dessert in Coconut Milk which came with all sorts of wonderful ingredients in my bowl. Our friends ordered a Mango Sticky rice and a Grilled Flan with Brown Sugar Pearl in Coconut Milk. Super tasty and refreshing. Spirits lifted!!! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street

I am not a huge dessert person but these desserts were really good! I cannot remember the names of everything but I do remember the banana fritters with ice cream, Durian crepe and cream puffs. They are so creative and their service is good. Nice simple ambiance with quite a few tables.

We came on a Saturday at 830pm and there was only a couple empty tables left. I got the tofu pudding with bubbles. The bubbles were a nice chewy consistency but were too sweet. The tofu pudding was super bouncy and had a strong tofu flavour. Overall if you are looking for a place to chill that's open late at night this is a good option. I personally wouldnt come back as i found trouble looking for a dessert that i would like. They have lots of choices for dessert (but many of them are quite similar to each other) and big tables if you are here with a big group. They can get very busy at night.

I'm from the Bay Area and we have our fair share of Japanese grocery stores (shout out to Niiya in Japantown in San Francisco) but I was very excited to see the selection here.
