This review has been in my drafts for quite some time and I've been on the fence about posting it,…read morebut here is our experience...the good and the bad and the wtf. My son was referred to Chino Valley Oral Surgery by his orthodontist for impacted wisdom teeth removal. He was able to make an appointment for a consultation followed by the surgery to be done on the same day. One thing that I found odd was that he never got a reminder call or confirmation regarding his appointment, so I had him call the day prior to he sure he was scheduled. On the day of the appointment (consult and surgery) Dr. Lee was thorough and informative during the consultation, and gave us the opportunity to ask questions we might have. We then met with the office manager Leticia, was very understanding, knowledgeable and helpful in sorting out our insurance and billing. Then my son went into surgery, which was very fast. Post procedure, Dr. Lee met with us and said it went smoothly. My main issue is with the back office staff/dental assistants...they obviously did not communicate with each other and both were rushing to get us out. My son was still very sedated from the surgery and could barely keep his eyes open. One staff gave me VERBAL post op instructions and a small baggie with 4 pieces of gauze, saying it would be enough (which it wasn't, as my son had quite a bit of bleeding afterwards) and that she would change the gauze in his mouth before we go (didn't happen because another staff member walked us out to the car). In my past personal experience with wisdom teeth extractions, and knowing that food particles can get stuck in the gum pocket, I asked about flushing the extraction sites with a syringe and was simply told NO. Then a second staff member approached us and said "see you next week" assuming we already had an appointment, but in fact did not. She rolled her eyes & quickly returned with an appointment card, did not give me an opportunity or ask what day or time would work for us. She then proceeded to direct & walk us to the exit & to our car, and it happened so fast that I didn't even get a chance to ask about the gauze change. For quite some time, we were worried about dry socket, as my son complained of pain, still had some bleeding, and had difficulty eating solid food for several days after the procedure. However, at the follow up appointment, one week later, we were told everything was healing and there was no infection; and my son was given a syringe for flushing the extraction sites.

I've worked with 2 doctors here and both were outstanding and consistent. I was asked multiple times throughout my visit if there was anything they could do to make my dental visit comfortable and if I had any concerns. I also recieved follow ups from the Dr for my pain levels. Their communication style and genuine curiosity in each patient's concern is what makes them a fantastic team. In addition to all those important things off is the actual clinic environment...it's like a spa type lobby, very clean and decorative, & has water/coffee at the front. They are thorough and so professional throughout. There is also a menu to choose a tv show/movie to watch with headphones as you make it through your appointment. Thank you Barsoum team!

With every visit, we feel confident knowing we are in capable and dependable hands. We are always warmly welcomed by name, and the entire team consistently demonstrates professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care. Janice has been especially helpful in guiding us through our insurance coverage and clearly outlining our financial responsibilities, allowing us to plan accordingly. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. I recently referred a friend to Dr. Barsoum for an extraction, and she was thoroughly impressed by the experience and the exceptional care she received. At my most recent visit, Mare assisted Dr. Barsoum. It is always a privilege to have her involved in my care--she is patient, attentive, and gentle. She took great care to ensure my desired results were achieved, and I am truly thrilled with the outcome. My smile has never looked better. This entire team and practice is a true gem.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent was in a bad way…read more A renowned night owl who is seldom up before 10:30am in semi-retirement, there I was clutching my jaw in anguish and parked outside my dentist's office when the office manager came to open it, at 9:30am. An hour later, after Dr. Rana Skaff had pronounced "root canal, retreatment" of my bottom R rear molar, I was headed to Dr. Jack Yu and his team of pros at Grandview Endodontics. Everyone that I interacted with, from Office Manager DARLENE to dental nurses JUDY and UELSY to the (very) good doctor himself were consummate pros. They nimbly squeezed me in for a 1:30pm appt despite never hearing of me til 10:30am. They took their diagnostic X-Rays with gentle yet efficient care, treating the swollen, painful tooth; the pain so gnarly it was radiating to my jaw bone and pulsing in perfect synchronized time w/ my heartbeat. Dental Nurse Judy and Dr. Yu work beautifully together! Watching them -eyeballs close yet strangely detached due to multiple rounds of local anesthesia administered- is like watching an orchestra. Each person anticipating the other's need then flashing forward to meet it. I was in the chair, from diagnostic X-Rays to finance/insurance docs to actual treatment, from 1:45pm til 3:35pm. Time immeasurably well spent considering the world of misery I was in for the preceding 48hrs 'til I could get treatment. Pro Q- Is it meeeh or do most infections requiring root canal start on the weekend, when the vast majority of dentists/endodontists are unavailable?! Pro Tip- Dr. Yu is a major proponent of utilizing Gentle Wave / Clean Flow technology as an accompaniment to his root canals. Let him!!! Worth the peace of mind and reduction in post-canal complications. I'll recap this review by paraphrasing the Dos Equis Cerveza guy. You know, the wizened Hemingway doppelganger who dispenses critical axioms under the veil of his being -why, of course!- "The Most Interesting Man in the World!" "I may not always choose to squander the day strapped to an endodontist's chair getting a root canal .... but when I do, it'll be with Dr. Yu!"

Dentist wanted to Fill one of my teeth and pull the other 2. I told the Dentist I would like to have the Tooth he wanted to fill, pulled and the other tooth behind it, pulled as well since those 2 are the primary culprits for my PAIN. I had the same symptoms on the other side of my mouth with the same 2 teeth. Those were pulled because they were cracked. He sent in the front office girl to tell me, since the tooth he wanted to FILL does not meet my insurance criteria for coverage, I have to pay out-of-pocket for the Filling. I said NO, that does not sound correct. So, she went on to say, he does not have time to do my work and he would give me a referral to see a SPECIALIST, who has better X-ray technology. I did not get a prescription for pain or anything. Come to find out, the tooth he wanted to fill is CRACKED. I have yet to receive any call or any referral information from this office. As of Today, Wednesday 10/29/2025, This office has NOT called my Insurance provider. My Insurance company has no record of them calling for any referral or any other information. I filed a Grievance complaint with my Insurance company. I will look into taking legal action for discrimination or any type of legal action if necessary. I will not return to this office if it means saving my LIFE!!! Horrible service. Very Disappointed!!!

My daughter had pretty straight teeth to begin with and we are on year 5 of braces. They never have appointments and are only there twice a week now. Claimed they sometimes don't have the time. With no one in the waiting room they refused to fix it further delaying her treatment.
