    Machaca Burrito
    Gary I.

Tio's Café is spacious with bar, table, booth seating. Breakfast & lunch but used to serve dinners back in the day. Basic American diner with Mexican accents. 1) Machaca Burrito: Nice, stretchy, taut, flour tortilla surrounding home fry potatoes, that doesn't have crispiness from being cooked on a steel grill, bits of Res Deshebrada/shredded beef, green bellpepper, tomato, onion, eggs sautéed together. Steak Knife stabbed into the center of the Burrito for dramatic effect. It was like the final coup de grâce at a bull fighting ring. Loose, watery Salsa is cooked with onions, green chiles, tomato, touch of vinegar. Wish there was more pronounced garlic component for more allium earthiness, touch of oregano for smoky, green tar herbal tone. 2) Another time, had bland, goopy Pot Roast that had bits of beef, mushrooms, carrot, onion in a brown gravy that lacked Umami and had way too much corn starch thickener. Substituted Mashed Potato with Frijoles de Pinto sprinkled with faux parmesan. Steamed broccoli that seemed coated with a bit of mayonnaise. Tortilla de Maís went well to scoop up this wet dinner. 3) Crispy on the outside, creamier on the inside fried Churros with sprinkling of sugar, cinnamon, cajeta/caramel. Scoop of vanilla ice cream, whip cream. 3a) Standard Iced Tea No wow moment of culinary excitement, but food here is stolidly competent, consistent, Prices are good. Our waiter was happy and congenial. 3+ stars

Id says it's a little hole in the wall except there's tons of seating. Great spot to grab a pretty quintessential diner meal with a couple Mexican twists.

Breakfast is delicious. Staff was nice and attentive. I tried the home sausage omelette and it was huge and just full of yummy toppings. Home fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Their coffee taste so good. The chorizo omelette is very taste. Their breakfast burritos are huge like huge and just so delicious and filling. Definitely a great breakfast spot. It has some outdoor seating as well as a lot of indoor seating. Location is cleaned and organized.

A great spot for a comfort meal. Came here with my mom for breakfast and really enjoyed everything; from the food to the experience. The restaurant is of good size and has plenty of tables plus a bar you can sit at as well. Their coffee is really good and served in mugs that are quite big which is nice. They have a lot of options on their menu but I went with a traditional breakfast plate that comes with two eggs, sausage or bacon (I chose bacon), house potatoes and toast (I ordered an English muffin) other plates come with different variations of this. My mom got something similar but with bacon instead of sausage and pancakes instead of potatoes. The food came out really quick and was delicious! They have plenty of condiments already at the table for you to use. Or waiter was friendly and I never saw the bottom of the my coffee mug! The pancakes are oh so fluffy and delicious by the way! I'm excited to goa and try their lunch menu. They also have beer and wine as well to enjoy later on in the day.

Glad that I didn't let the bland front entrance deter me from trying Tio's Cafe. Once inside, a warm, clean environment waited for us. Dear Hubby told me that he'd stopped in a couple of times when he had been in the area, but our recent visit was my first time. It's wider and deeper inside than I expected. It boasts a diner-style counter, which is convenient for those dining alone. A number of comfortable booth-style tables fill most of the dining room. Several TVs also line the walls on two sides, along with vintage-look canvas photos to add to the ambiance. There's not a true theme to the decor, but it provides a low-key comfortable atmosphere. It appears spotlessly clean. Our server was prompt, helpful, and kept checking on us. Five stars for him! I knocked off a star as the food was on the bland side. I guess it's not the right season of the year for flavorful, juicy tomatoes. The "T" in my BLT was not memorable, which brought down the whole sandwich. Bacon was well-prepared and generous. The fries were hot but also bland. I'd had better ones recently at Arby's, of all places. I often sub for fries, but I was in the mood to order them, and Tio's didn't quite hit the spot. They did have other options, including onion rings, sweet potato fries, side salad, cottage cheese, etc. Their menu is quite extensive, and they serve breakfast all day, except for waffles. We will definitely return to try other items that vary from their fitness selections to sandwiches / burgers, and comfort-food choices. When we first arrived just after 5:00, we almost had the place to ourselves, but by the time we were finishing, the interior was filling in nicely. Happy to support a local indy restaurant!

I had been here years ago and remembered it being a solid steakhouse type restaurant with good comfort food, so we were excited to come back. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful -- huge booths, cozy lighting, and a great atmosphere. We also had a young waiter who was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly the highlight of the experience. Drinks also came out quickly and were strong. Unfortunately, the food completely missed the mark. I ordered the half rack of ribs with a loaded baked potato and salad. The 4 little ribs were tiny with barely any meat on them, and the baked potato tasted strange -- almost like artificial butter or margarine instead of real butter and sour cream. There was hardly any bacon and way too many green onions. The salad was basically chopped iceberg lettuce with a clump of what looked like canned tomatoes on top. The blue cheese dressing was actually delicious, but overall the meal was disappointing, especially for $33, and I honestly left hungry. My husband ordered the BBQ grilled chicken and the chicken breast was shockingly small -- it honestly looked like a kids meal. The fries tasted like basic frozen fries. My son's mac and cheese was honestly awful and tasted sour. A box of Kraft would have been better. The cheeseburger was average at best -- I've genuinely had better burgers at youth soccer tournaments. It really feels like this restaurant is struggling when it comes to food quality and portion sizes, which is unfortunate because the location, ambience, and service all have so much potential. I felt bad because our waiter truly did a great job, but good service can't make up for disappointing food at these prices.

Very critical to keep employee's position at all times and very important to keep your location staff at peak hours though out the day or an at evening time. This has happened a few times and unfortunately it happens when I come in. Go figure. One of My favorites sandwiches is the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich, the only thing is I would like is if the bread could be heated up or to complete the sandwich. You'll hear many patrons describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Believe them. From our observation, reservations are highly desirable and may prove necessary for weekend nights. The only seatings available when we called a day earlier were at 4:30 or after 7:00 PM. We took the earlier, and frankly are glad we did. We arrived at their unassuming storefront location as the first patrons of the day, were warmly greeted and immediately seated. From this moment forward, my wife and I agreed: If anyone hopes to run a highly successful small restaurant, Bella's Bistro is the template. Inside, the ambiance was tasteful with gentle background music at the absolutely perfect tempo and volume to allow for conversation. We found the furnishings, tableware and restroom immaculate. Fresh flowers and a candle adorned each table, and the decorations for Valentine's Day were just the right tone, conveying appeal without being garish. Kudos to the staff for getting it right on all of the above. Though I generally set expectations low for the wine list or bartending at a small establishment, Bella's features a diverse wine list and specialty cocktails that pair very well with their menu. Of particular note was the superb crafting of cocktails during our visit - again, exceeding our expectations. It was during cocktail service that we noticed the full-service bar tucked in the rear corner of the restaurant, offering barstool seating and counter service for those who may be so inclined. We shared a nicely prepared caesar salad, while enjoying the basket of varied breads. While refrigerated butter pats were provided in the basket, it would have been a tad easier and more appealing if a small container of whipped butter had been offered instead. Our entrees included their homemade ravioli as well as chicken parmigiana, the latter included a large perfectly crafted portion of chicken accompanied by perfectly prepared spaghetti. To say this restaurant knows how to make and served great pasta is in understatement, with the ravioli a choice to be savored. A simple cheesecake dessert topped off the evening. Though the restaurant was full as our meal ended, we never felt rushed or ignored. Service was at all times attentive but never overbearing. There was genuine interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction. We encourage you to try Bella's Bistro!

Our server seem to be really new and not knowing what she was doing. It was frustrating having to ask for everything the whole time. We decided to get the meat lovers skillet, tricolor burrito, fiesta omelette, French toast. I asked for the shredded beef for my tricolor burrito, I also asked for no onions as this was another ingredient with this burrito. When I got my burrito, I thought there was a lot of onions. So I asked the server. She went to the kitchen and asked and was told that the shredded beef comes with onions. I believe that since I had mentioned, I don't want any onions, it would have been great to mention that the shredded beef already has onions so we would have chosen another meat option and not send the dish back to the kitchen. After I received my plate, saw so many onions, decided to mention it to the server and that's when she went back to the kitchen to ask, then realized it has the onions. And when I asked for asada meat, I was told it's extra. All this conversation, the server keeps coming back-and-forth to the kitchen, which was really frustrating. I end up getting the chicken, it was a good option. Our family liked the meat, lovers skillet, and the French toast Food was good however I would not be returning because the service was absolutely horrible
