I enjoyed the food at Double Dogs but what was even more impressive was the service. We were a big group with 2 toddlers (and one intoxicated adult who basically acted like a toddler). The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially when the kids made a mess of their meals. They were super patient and kind and I was so impressed by how they kept their cool. I got the Tillamook dog and it was very tasty. The fries were too skinny and stubby for my preference but that's really a me thing. The onion rings, mozz sticks, and spinach dip were very tasty.

Came here after recommendation from a co-worker on a recent business trip. Seated immediately and it was fairly full. Pretty typical sports bar with the only uniqueness being somewhat themed around dogs. Seemed to have a good selection of beers but when I inquired about cocktail menu the server said there is a full bar but not a menu to choose from. I chose the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and French Fries. It was good but nothing amazing. The S'mores Cream Pie was described as brownie like and was served cold. I would have enjoyed it more had it been served warm with ice cream. Probably won't return on future trips since there are so many other options in the area.

Super cute and fun place! We visited Greenville and needed a dinner spot. We striked out at a few places prior due to being closed or closing early. It was later in the evening and we just wanted dinner. I stumbled on Double Dogs. It was good! They had a great atmosphere and good food and drinks. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks and an appetizer. The chicken tender salad was delicious. I couldn't finish it all. But the dressing was so yummy! My daughters kids meal was served in a stainless steel dog bowl. She loved that. The prices were great as well for the amount of food and taste we received.

Visited again 9/18/23. Sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. For dinner I decided to get the bacon cheeseburger since it was national cheeseburger day. And holy schnikes it was delicious!! Hot and juicy with some serious bacon on top. Hot fries to complete the meal! Service, ad always, was great and the inside was clean and not too loud. Even with all the doors open it was still quiet enough to have a conversation. This has become a weekly visit!!

The hostess could try smiling, it would be more inviting. The bar tender was nice and able to answer all of my questions. I was very disappointed to see they only have one nonalcoholic beer, but they did have a larger selection of other beers. There were a few vegetarian options and of course the standard restaurant/bar menu. I dropped by before 4pm and the inside section of bar was already 99% full. They do have an outside section the bar and a couple tables. This area was empty probably due to the heat and rain clouds moving in. I would drop by if you are looking to try something new in the area and are not seeking a quiet atmosphere.

No long wait. Food is good. It does tend to get a little noisy especially at busier times.

I read it three times, not because I misunderstood it, but because I wanted to confirm that it listed pets and children in that order, which it did, and that tells you something about the sequence of problems they've encountered on the lawn, though I've decided not to find out what exactly. With that said, the lawn is not exactly a lawn at all, unless you consider granite rocks as a lawn, which the residents of Elberton, Georgia do as it is considered the "Granite Capital of the World." Elberton this is not. This rocky lawn is to be filled with Bichon Frisés and children in ball caps, and on the afternoon I visited it was doing exactly that. There was a dog near the covered bar area moving through the patio with the serenity of an animal who has never once been told that other people exist. His owner stood nearby holding a beer and looking proud, which is a face I recognized, because I have a son and have stood next to him with that exact expression at least twice in public places where I should have known better. I had the Radiant Positivity, a sour ale at 6%, which sounds like something printed above a middle school guidance counselor's desk but turned out to be genuinely good, all grapefruit and a tartness that knew when to stop. I thought about ordering the Kamp Jam, a 4% light lager described as tasting like shared laughter and the unbreakable bonds of friendship, and decided I wasn't there yet. The owners opened this place in 2014 and have expanded it three times since, which tells you something about Greer that it probably already knows about itself but that the rest of the area is still catching up on. Consequentially, Greer itself has also expanded its waistline 3 times since 2014 but that's a discussion for another time. I thought about asking about the Southern Sanctum, an American Tripel, but the afternoon had reached the evening and a point where a Tripel felt like a commitment that deserved more deliberation than I had left in me. I paid my tab, which was reasonable in a way that surprised me given the quality of everything, said goodbye to nobody in particular, and drove home thinking about the Kamp Jam, and whether the unbreakable bonds of friendship were something I'd get to eventually.

In four days, the United States of America will celebrate what is technically called its…read moreSemiquincentennial, which is the word for a 250th anniversary, and which I had to look up, and which I then tried to say out loud in my car on the way here, three times, and failed each one. This is the irony the Founding Fathers, who were unusually articulate men, could not have anticipated: that the country they built on clear plain speech would arrive at its 250th birthday with a name for itself that sounds like a medical procedure. The brewery has posted a banner on their website that says "Come celebrate the 250th birthday of AMERICA with us!" which is a more honest description of the situation, and which I appreciated. 13 Stripes is a Revolutionary War brewery at Taylors Mill, built by people who are genuinely, non-ironically in love with the period, and it shows completely and without apology. Every beer is named for something from the war. The lager is called Not My King, which started as a jab at Budweiser and turned out to be historically accurate. It is not, however, a protest against a certain self-appointed king who resides (and is in the process of dismantling) the White House. The Hazy Double IPA is called Freedom Juice, at 8%, which is also historically accurate, in that freedom, when it finally arrives, tends to hit harder than you expected. I ordered the William Penn, a Quaker Oatmeal Coffee Stout at 5.5%, on the principle that the only man who founded both a colony and a religious movement deserves to be a stout, and he did. I then ordered the Townsend, an English Style Pub Ale on nitro named after Robert Townsend, one of Washington's spies, who conducted his intelligence work in relative silence, which is appropriate for a 4.1% beer you drink quietly while everyone else is ordering Freedom Juice. The food is from Defiance BBQ, which is not a casual name for a friendly food truck. The brisket sandwich is available Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays while supplies last, which is the kind of scarcity notice that makes people arrive earlier than they intended. The coleslaw comes with a note on the menu that reads "the slaw is the law," which I considered briefly as a reference to Judge Dredd and then accepted, because there are some sentences that resolve themselves. The fries are cooked in beef tallow, a detail the 18th century would have found unremarkable and the 21st century has turned into a whole conversation. They were very good, and I did not start the conversation. On July 4, 2026, the United States will be 250 years old, built in part right here, in South Carolina, where more Revolutionary War battles were fought than in any other state, which is a fact that most people driving past Taylors Mill do not know and would probably find surprising if someone told them in line at the bar. I finally partook in the Nathan Hale, an American Pale Ale at 5%. Nathan Hale, as you may recall, had only one regret. I had none.

She had jokes, great energy, and made us feel like VIPs without handing us a bill that made us cry. Now the food? Outstanding. I'm talking "how-do-I-make-this-at-home-oh-wait-I-can't" level good. Every bite made me want to high-five the kitchen staff. The vibe of the place is modern, cozy, and super welcoming -- especially for a brewery. And yes, I brought my kids (because of course I did). Even with two kids in tow, we felt totally comfortable. No side-eyes, no awkwardness -- just good food and good vibes. I didn't get to try the beer this time, because, you know... parenting. But don't worry -- I'm coming back tomorrow for Friday date night, and I fully plan to try them all. (Responsibly, of course. My wife will probably drive.) Not pictured was the charcuterie board and Brie appetizers that were all split and devoured. What was documented was the roasted duck breast with potatoes and asparagus. The duck was roasted perfectly with the skin, crispy for the texture and seasoned divinely. Yall the potatoes were crispy on the outside, well fluffy like little clouds inside, and had a punch of flavor. The asparagus was rich with a butter and lemon note. If a plate could sing!
