I'm in Omaha for a conference and wandered over to Akarui for a light bite between lunch and dinner, right around happy hour. I can say without hesitation that I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The quality of the fish was outstanding. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Sunny, one of the owners, who was absolutely delightful. She shared the story of how she and her husband moved from Brooklyn and opened the restaurant five years ago. She explained that they receive fresh fish deliveries twice a week, and it absolutely shows. Everything I ordered was phenomenal. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and every bite exceeded my expectations.
