This is my most recent experience. I appreciate that they fix what was wrong. I initially noted a nail in my front tire and brought it in. I didn't think much of it after they repaired it. They didn't show me the screw. When I went home, I looked at my tire again and realized that their nail was still there. It appears they fix the wrong tire and there was maybe another nail elsewhere. They luckily made this right by repairing my other tire without cost. I don't know how it was missed during the tire inspection, however the manager were attentive to the concern. I still trust them to do the job just gotta make sure I double check the next time I leave. read more

Took over 2 1/2 hrs to put new brake pads only on F150. Very slow, didn't have front pads in stock even though reservation for pad change was done the day before. Many excuses, like "I wasn't here yesterday" and "they didn't put it in the computer right...". They used to be a good efficient shop-not any more. Now I have a flat tire that I have to keep pulling over and filling up to even get home. It's no doubt too late on Sunday afternoon to find someplace else. So much for work tomorrow! Absolutely horrible customer service! They demanded that I gave them a phone number to even start a ticket just to see if they can get the size of tires I need!? I tried to explain to him that I don't have a phone number at the moment because I was changing numbers and said if you cannot help me without starting a ticket then I'll shop elsewhere. After that the manager decided to come outside to try to get me to come back inside and at that point I was always already very frustrated! If you can't seem to help me when I'm at your counter how do you think running after me in the parking lot's going to solve anything? How hard would it have been just to see if that tire size was available? This manager definitely needs to be retrained because they are not at a level of being in front of customers! Not to mention I was over 50 minutes away from home and really could have used the help with the tires at that point. I showed them their on line coupon which stated was good for Valvoline synthetic blend high mileage oil change for $74.99. They said they didn't have that oil in stock and would have to order it. I said I'd come back because I wanted the coupon price. They said the coupon was not valid. It was just a "starting" price and then tried to offer me a more expensive option. Also, the man who does the alignment check was not in and they didn't know when he'd be available again. I've recently developed two slow leaks in tires purchased here about two years ago. Each time I brought it in the guys were courteous and repairs were made in a timely manner, no charge. The second time the gentleman at the front desk suggested I needed to upgrade my lug nuts as they were showing wear. Although this was something not sold at Tire Barn he did direct me to where I could obtain replacements that would be more durable. He said when I got them they would replace the old nuts at no charge. Got them and they were replaced. This is what I call customer service! I know where I'll be buying tires next time. I would give zero stars if I could. You want to get treated like crap? go to tire barn. I made an appointment at 10:30am for 5:30pm. When I walk in at 5:15, no greeting, just an odd look. Guy acted like I was an inconvenience. I call him guy because he doesn't bother to introduce himself. I tell him I have a 5:30. He says if you made it within 24 hours, he didn't see it. The short blond man told me that my tires are bald and need replaced and that he can't fix my tire. I don't know what scam he's trying to pull with me but I just had all new tires put on 2 months ago at the dealership. He also smelled like liquor and told me that he's the manager. I went online scheduled an alignment arranged to get off of work earlier to make it to the appointment. Got a confirmation text explaining time of alignment. Okay so my first visit here was great I had my tires changed but the second I went and got an oil change. I will never do this again. Not only did the sticker for my return make no sense claiming I could go another 100,000 miles before another oil change... but the other day my car started to act up and I thought maybe I was low on oil so I bought some and when I checked my dipstick the oil went halfway up the dipstick way past the overfilled marks. I was extremely disappointed that I paid for such a highly unprofessional oil change considering the amount of damage that could have been done to my car had I left it like that. read more

Stood there for almost 10 minutes without even being acknowledged by the assistant manager while he proceeded to have casual conversation with another customer about how he only gets paid what the technicians do and how "discount tire" wants him. Then proceeded to tell me I just needed 2 back tire's instead of a patching. Don't make an appointment, you'll only be mad at yourself for wasting your time on that as well. Genuinely terrible experience. I made an appointment, got a confirmation email, showed up for the appointment the next day and they had no record of it. Ended up waiting for over two hours just for service to begin, plus another hour and a half for the service itself. Spent $450 on new tires, which are fine. They're hunks of rubber. Who cares? After the service was finished, the guy offered the free alignment check, but didn't have time that day (shocker - full waiting room and maybe two people working). So I scheduled an appointment for 9am the following Saturday. Get there at about 8:40, check in, expect to wait a little while. 9:30 rolls around and a car gets taken in that arrived after I did. With an appointment. That they set. Less than a week earlier. So I told them I wanted my keys back, and left. Absolutely will not be going back, ever. If I had known the awful experience they offer, I would never have even considered it. I strongly encourage everyone to look elsewhere. The prices aren't any better than what you'll find anywhere else and you might actually get some customer service. Even if you do save a few dollars, it is absolutely not worth the headache and frustration of dealing with folks who either can't keep up with a conversation, or just don't care about doing a good job (or their job at all). I normally wouldn't make an accusation like this, but I'm convinced the positive reviews are employees.There's no way someone would enjoy it here, since someone that messed up would already be in prison. read more

Update to story the below: The market manager for the Fort Wayne stores apologized for what happened below and said that they are addressing my issues with this store. I also got the $50 refund that was promised. I will consider giving them another try in the future, and hope I can change my review. I made a tire appointment online a week and half before my Saturday appointment. When I made the appointment online I selected the exact tire that I want installed on my truck. A 20" Goodyear Wrangler SR-A. When I went in on Saturday to get the tire put on, they put a 20" Goodyear Eagle LS-2 on my truck. I only needed the one tire and all my other tires were Wrangler SR-A's. I wanted the tire to match the other tires; it's a new truck. No one called me before the appointment to ask if it would be OK to put the wrong tire on. No one asked me at the day of the appointment if it would be OK to put the wrong tire on. We waited an hour to get the wrong tire put on. I noticed that they put the wrong tire on when they were handing the truck off to me. I pointed it out to them and they notified me that the tire wasn't available at the store and they would have to order it. They said it would be in on Monday. I told them to put the spare tire back on and to keep the rim so that they could put the new tire on the rim when they get it to reduce the amount of additional time that they were going to waste. Monday came around and the tire was not delivered to the store. I went in to talk to one of the employees about seeing the manager. He had zero people skills and ended up sounding like a jerk. He even went to talk to the manager for me instead of having the manager come out and talk to me. Tuesday comes around and they got the right tire in and put on the truck. The guy we talked to Saturday was there and offered us $50 for all the problems we had. He said that a $50 check in the mail. read more

Stay away from this place. Complete rip-off that will not honor its warranties. It's amazing how they stay in business. With their kind of service, it won't be long. Was quoted $900 basic tires after I would do a vehicle alignment first. If I was to skip the alignment and do the tires right there and then, the price would be $800. This makes no sense whatsoever except it sounded crooked. Watch out for the manager he is a slick one. I ended up getting better tires at COSTCO fo $495 and full warranties on each tires. First off let's start with who runs it. His name is Matt. Now I had a good experience the first time but secund time I towed it there or didn't run. It set there fore a week so I try to call but no one ever answers really. I've tried calling there 5 times in a row and no one picks up ever cause they don't have as receptionist which they need bad to get all the people off Matt. So I tried calling no one answered so I thought I'll go up there. So I go up there after two weeks and it wasn't done. I try calling again and figure " just go up there it's a waste of time calling" so I goo up there after a month. He said it wasn't done ands we almost got into it because he told me I can take my car to another shop if I want passive aggressively like and I had to calm him down and remind him I've been without a car a month. Let me remind you I told him to call me when he found parts fort it. And next thing you know he ordered a 240$ fuel pump behind my back cause I pissed him off. I could of gotten a 100$ fuel pump just as easily but he didn't care. He just kept on saying it's got a lifetime warranty that's why I got it. No it's because I pissed him off. Matt kept saying it would be next week or week after. Just kept saying that Everytime and remind you I set without a car for a month bumming rides off people to go to grocery store or get cigs. So after all that I paid a 430$ bill. 240$ for fuel pump 30$ for oil change and 140$ for labor And I cannot blame this on them or not it was just weird that I have a Google music player inn my car and it worked fine when I got the car back it sounds like your listening to a bad tape player sounds coming out of the speakers now So just a reminder you might not want to go here at all. Had a flat while passing through the area. Called ahead to see if they had a tire. They said $77 installed. Got there, they said $87. Went to pay, they said $96. Don't trust these guys at all. These guys are excellent. We were trying to get out of town and noticed we needed our tires filled. We have the nitrogen filled tires, so we can't just go anywhere. The other place we found said it would be an hour wait and we were already running 2-3 hours behind schedule. Tire Barn had us pull in, filled our tires in under 2 minutes, and didn't even charge. Sent my son here to get his flats repaired. Instead of being repaired he was sold 2 new tires. Bad enough when he only had 10k on the current tires but he was also sold the wrong size because the tires were no longer made! BS! If Walmart and Tire Rack carry them why can't Tire Barn? Wrong size allows car to bottom out AND speedometer to read 5 mph less than actual. Complained back to store to get old tires back. Took a week, was charged $60 to R&R tires, FLATS STILL NOT REPAIRED. They did reimburse for the wrong size tires. Took tires to another shop and flats were easily fixed. These tires were purchased from Tire Rack and INSTALLED at this location as a recommended installer. This is not the only trouble I've had with this location. Purchased a set of tires for my vehicle, nearing end of life for tires and got a flat. Took in for repair and re-balance. Tire repaired and all wheels re-balanced but still could feel shaking. Was told tires were worn enough and they only thing they could recommend was a new set of tires. I asked them to quote on the paperwork another set of tires. All that was noted was customer denied replacing i.e no quote. Looked at tires, tread wear bars can be seen BUT are not exposed, not to a point to replace. Ordered set of tires for wife's car, was told tires were in, once arrived for appointment tires were not shipped from TIRE RACK. Did not have time to reset appoint for a later date. Was sold the next comparable tires that were MORE EXPENSIVE. Again due to time I caved. Obviously, I have done several thousands of $ of business with them and tried to have things done correctly. Not a one time PITA customer. Should have bolted. WILL NOT RETURN TO TIRE BARN. Left same message on their customer survey. read more
