I'm starting this review because the service was phenomenal! Now I've been going to get my car serviced there since about 2021. The service was always great however what made this experience different was the simple fact that I got off work late this particular day & I called to see if they would be open. Travis Caplinger the store manager asked me when could I get there? I explained my distance & he said we have time!! When I arrived I could tell they were about to close & they were actually waiting for me. They got my oil changed & got me out in a very timely manner. Now most would say, "hum, pretty quickly! Was it done properly?" Absolutely no issues so I give them a 10 out of 10. And, if you give them your info they'll send you reminders & to top it off (get it top it off) they'll remember when you can't remember what you got last time & even explain if it's best for the next time! Travis checked on me, asked if I'd like to watch tv. I said, "No, but do you offer WiFi, I can work on something while I wait." He replied, "sure thing" saved me more time! I dislike writing bad reviews, but this place is a rip off. I went in for a tire alignment and rotation, during the process actually on the first bolt they snapped it : ( so the man took me in the back told me it was rusted completely through (defiantly not) and continued to explain why they would have to charge me so much extra. I asked if they would spray the rest of the bolts with PB Blaster or WD40 and they did so. All the others bolts cam off fine no issue. I was amazed that a technician would try to take a suspension bolt off and not even have the common sense to spray the bolts down with a lubricant. The man at the counter wanted to charge me 100 in labor and 390 for a bolt kit (which is outrageously expensive). I asked if they had a random bolt to make the car mobile and was charge extra 3hrs in labor to install it. To put the cherry on top the man told me I have to pay for an alignment again when I bring it back with the correct bolt.I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies lol. read more

I called ahead and asked if they could compress a couple if struts, already off the vehicle, for me and clock the top hats on them. They said sure, so I brought them in and explained in detail what I wanted done. They wanted $120 and two hours for 20 minutes worth of work! I went right next door to Midas and got the exact same job done for $20 and it was handled on the spot. How do you expect to get customers when you want to rip them off like that? The kicker is that as I was walking out the door, the dude behind the counter asked "are you sure???" Implying that he was doing me a favor at that price. What a joke! read more

This is the WORST shop in the world! My car had some vibration/shaking when braking. Acura diagnosed the problem and recommended having front rotors replaced. Finding a cheaper alternative, I took my car to this shop to have new front rotors put on. I dropped it off on Friday of last week. Needless to say, it is Tuesday afternoon and my car still isn't fixed. The shop manager called me Friday afternoon and told me I didn't need new rotors; I just needed them resurfaced and he believed the tires needed to be balanced. I told him to go ahead and take care of those items. After a few hours of not hearing from them, I called to check on my car. They still had not finished. Then they closed with my car still in the shop!! Saturday morning I picked up my car and they claimed they had tried to call me. I had never missed their call before so I knew that was a lie. I paid for the service and left. Not even 10 miles on the road my car began to shake again. I took my car back to them. This time, I had a mechanic ride with me so he could understand what I was talking about. The mechanic stated he noticed vibration while braking but could not tell me why the previous mechanic did not fix the problem. I'm even wondering if the previous mechanic drove my car again after he fixed it to ensure the problem was resolved. I requested the shop replace both the brakes and rotors at the same time. They stated I would need to bring it back in on Monday. They told me they would replace only the brakes because they "believe" the brakes warped the rotors. Monday night, they called me back and stated they now wanted to replace both the rotors and brakes. DUH!! So now, I had to bring my car back next day, as they wanted me to purchase the rotors out of pocket because the stores had closed. Tuesday morning, I dropped my car off at the shop around 10 am. At 2pm, I called to get an update. For four hours, they did nothing to my car, nor did they call to let me know the diagnosis. I was told 2 different mechanics had driven my car and felt nothing, so they fixed nothing on my car. At this point my patience is gone. I told them to replace the brakes and rotors NOW! The mechanic time me it works take 2 additional hours and would be ready by 4pm. I didn't get out of that shop until after 6pm. And I still feel minimal shaking. This is another case of mechanics taking advantage of women and just not giving a damn about customer service. This will be the last time Tread Quarters ever see a dime from me! My experience here was not great. Let's start with the important stuff. The tire alignment was not done properly and at the end of the day, I left with my wheels way off on their alignment and a significantly off-center steering wheel. I appreciated the effort of the mechanic. I was a little frustrated with the initial response by the store manager (I believe) MJ. To be fair, I understand her initial response, which was to suggest a potential material issue with my steering column. The thing is that I am a pretty capable mechanic and would perform my own alignment if it were not for the expensive equipment. She had suggested that something could be off with my steering system since it was electric. The problem with that is my 2500 LML diesel has hydraulic power steering system (does have electronics), but after hearing the team speak in general terms, I got the sense they were trying to suggest I had some other issue with my vehicle. To their credit, when I stated that I was not satisfied with the alignment and that I was confident in the material condition of my truck, they gave me a full refund. The mechanic suggested that their alignment machine may not be functioning properly (he preferred ones made by Hunter), and MJ suggested I go to the dealership who would have more expertise with aligning my truck. Here's what I observed: 1. It did not appear the team was interested in aligning by Camber and Caster angles. I'm concerned that they may be in the habit of aligning the Toe angle (easiest alignment in my opinion) and ignoring the other two. 2. When pressed to verify the Camber and Caster angles, the team did not seem familiar with making those adjustments with the factory cams installed in the upper control arm. 3. After failing to perform an adequate alignment, the team seemed somewhat defensive (human nature) of the job they had performed. Hence the suggestion about my steering column needing to be looked at. 4. The Manager was quick to talk to me about the material condition of my truck, but it seemed like she had a very elementary understanding of automotive mechanics and clearly did not have the thorough understanding of a GMC 2500 LML Diesel. 5. The mechanics suggested they had limited experience with a rack and pinion steering system... Should have been my warning sign (I have a parallelogram with pitman and idler arms). I ended up taking my truck to Pep Boys the following day and within an hour they had completed my alignment. For perspective, the Toe angle (which is the easiest in my opinion) has specification of 0.15 degrees to -0.05 degrees. Tire Choice Auto Service had adjusted them to -0.45 degrees on the left tire and 0.50 degrees on the right tire. Anyways, my steering is back within specification and the steering wheel is centered and there are not material issues noted in my steering system. I suspect a combination of a subpar alignment machine, a rudimentary understanding of the steering system, and (speculation on my part) the team only aligning the Toe angle and ignoring the Camber and Caster angle requirements all contributed to my tires being aligned way off from specifications. Add in the suggestion that my truck may have another issue (without really looking into the situation) and that is the reason for the 1 star review. I recommend everyone stays away from this place. Particularly if you are not "mechanic smart." I don't want to suggest that this place is scamming people, but I don't think they have a good training and certification process and I believe their mechanics have been trained to take several shortcuts. I was impressed with Pep Boys on Mercury Blvd. Perhaps you can go there. I will be filing a complaint with the appropriate entities to force better behavior/proper equipment (not sure if that's with the DMV in this state). read more

I do not like to give bad reviews. But I would not recommend any one to come to this place for any service. It is highly overpriced and they give false promises. I went in there to change tire because one of mine tires has a leak in them. After the tire change, my tire pressure light was still on. They told me my sensors are bad and they can changed 2 SENSORS for 240. I said no. Then one guy asked me how about 150. That was when I realized this place is a rip off. We have had WAY too many issues with Treadquarters! We WON'T be going back! My son took his car in for an oil change. They told him he had a serious oil leak around the timing chain and it needed fixed. He knew he had a leak but took the guys word for it and said do the work. $1,000 later, my son takes his car home. Less than a month later the car starts leaking oil WORSE than it did before. He took it back. They said it would be ready on such and such a day. It wasn't. Then they said it would be ready on a DIFFERENT day. They have had his car 10 DAYS! They called and said the car is finally ready. I cringe because I am at least 50% sure we may be going back again. Third time's a charm! We may be seeking legal counsel if we have any more issues. We have a new mantra: STAY AWAY FROM BIG CHAIN REPAIR SHOPS! We are now going to give the little guys our business. There are 2 local repair shops in our area that are reputable and know what they are doing. Goodbye Pep Boys, Treadquarters, Merchants and Big Als.
