Been to most shops on Peninsula- if you have an hour to kill to just sit in your car waiting then get the radiator fluid replacement. I went to get my oil changed and new wiper blades on a Sunday 5/17 in the morning. They had two people ahead of me that were getting their tires rotated in addition to the other services they were having done. Three different staff members came and communicated that to me. I felt valued as a customer. I loved that they kept me in the loop and updated with the time frame. The wait wasn't long at all. They had all hands on deck and a great vibe and so kind and professional. Three of them were working on one car putting tires back on at the same time. Young people get bad raps sometimes for not having work ethics or playing around on the job. These young adults were AWESOME!!!! I loved this encounter and I will def be returning and referring others to them. Made me so proud of them to witness this. This will stay with me forever. Today, good customer service is very rare. Skid plate fell on highway 15 mins after oil change. Had to get towed back to the shop a 3 hour ordeal for 15 min oil change. Opened a claim only to be offered a 50% of coupon for next time. My cost for paid tow back, time lost and great inconvenience for myself and baby. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone! read more

I have only one problem with this place. Nothing better than good Valvoline oil. And to get it within fifteen minutes at a reasonable price is even better. Make sure you download the Valvoline app to get coupons you can use instantly. They do a good thorough visual inspection of your vehicle, top off your fluids, check your tire pressure and check your battery. They also offer other services that I wouldn't recommend. Things like tire rotation, any transmission service or rear differential service I don't recommend these services because the Valvoline team are not the subject matter experts in these areas. Just stick to what you know. Now my problem with this location that I've been going to for about 3 years. They keep referring to me as "man." "What's up man?" "How's it going man?" Or "Thanks a lot man." I'm a 53 year old man, probably old enough to be all the employees and store manager Daddy. I've served twenty years in the military, patrolled the streets as a policy officer, serve the community, a grandfather and have kids about the age of these employees and manager. I'm not your friend or homeboy, I'm a customer.. I don't know why they do it and I'd hate to know why. I don't want to be refereed to as "man"; how about "SIR". I think I've earned it. I'm a huge fan of these quick oil change places. I stopped into this location at the start of a short day trip and even though it took longer than I expected I think the business does a great job providing its services. The joint was packed when I pulled in on Friday and took close to 30 minutes to get to the front of the line. Once it was my turn it took less than 10 minutes for the whole process to start and finish. I didn't realize they had so many complimentary services. I had my fluids topped off, tires filled with air, oil change, and a battery check! The staff were friendly and when I left I felt safe and ready for the road trip ahead. read more

I have only used Pennzoil in my vehicles for 35 years. However, Valvoline Instant Oil Change is an approved vendor for my fleet vehicle. The other local place that sells Pennzoil isn't and honestly I get tired of getting nasty emails from corporate every time I go to an unapproved service provider. This new location may have just sealed the deal. VIOC was on top of it. First, they allowed me to stay in my car during service (1-star). They got me in and out within 15 minutes or so (2nd star). They were very courteous. Even the manager stopped by to see how I was doing (3rd star). Most importantly, they didn't try to sell me unneeded equipment. (4th star). I know for a fact that my air and cabin filter were changed recently. When they checked them, they could see they were clean and didn't need it so they simply put them back in my vehicle. The only reason I'm not giving them 5-stars is because they don't vacuum your car or clean the windows. Normally I wouldn't care but it really needed a vacuum today. I asked if they offer it but they do not. All in all, I am very pleased with the service I received today at VIOC. It's a new location so everything is spotless and running smoothly. At least in my fleet vehicle, I will keep coming back. read more

I wish there was a 0. claimed they couldn't get my oil filter off and that my oil hadn't been changed in over 2 years. None of that was true! I ended up going over to take 5 and was in and out of there within 10 minutes, they also claimed my skid plate wasn't properly placed back. thank gosh I stopped at another oil change facility before it ended up being a problem. I will be contacting corporate. lazy and unorganized! read more

We took our 2017 Chevy Traverse in for an oil change, and was in and out within 20 minutes, only because there was a car in front of us. I would compliment Byron on his politeness, knowledge and he didn't pressure us to buy anything else that we didn't need. And it was a whole lot cheaper than going to the dealership to have it done. Firs, it took over an hour to get through the inspection and then when they went to hook it up to their machine, it was down. We had to go to a different location to get the inspection done. Second, they jacked up our transmission because they were forcing it into gear without properly engaging the clutch. Now we are heading to our regular mechanic to have the transmission looked at. Did not have clutch problems or gear problems before these people looked at the car. Now it won't go into gear without Herculean effort. And it is clattering. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Edited to add: Valvoline contacted me about this review. They said they would like to come to some satisfying resolution. However, they refused to pay any part of the over $800 repair bill due to the transmission damage directly due to their employee's negligence. Oh, but we can get a "free" oil change. NOT A CHANCE! Wish I could give a 0! My skid plate fell off immediately after an oil change at Valvoline back in November 2022. At first it seemed like they were going to help with ordering a replacement part. One month later a part was in, the incorrect part, so they said they'd order the correct part and update me through the entire process. Never got one call and it is now mid-February. I have tried multiple times to get ahold of the store, most times no one answers or they say they will call right back and never do. This process has been a nightmare that I wish on no one! read more

Valvoline proved they value the safety of their customers and employees by wearing masks and letting customers enjoy the comfort of their car while the job is done quickly and efficiently. My son went here to get an oil change. He wanted to try them out because it was a new business and close to home. He came back after spending $173. The air filter was $44, oil change $42 and drive belt was$79! This was not what I expected. I went to talk to the manager, he and staff were very nice. He showed me the items taken off my son's car. The belt was barely worn, truly not an emergency and definitely not worth $79. He said that their prices were competitive. I disagree and told him I felt he took advantage of my son's lack of knowledge about cars. An expensive lesson for my son. Won't be stopping here anytime soon. read more

Worst service location ever. Did a vehicle state inspection on my Chevrolet Silverado and they got me a "Overall Report: ABORT" of a Ford focus. The technicians here are obviously inexperienced specially " Benjamin" and are always rushing to get more done...no wonder the quality of the job is nonexistent...Not coming back here ever read more

I am very upset about how my daughter was treated at this location. They told her to call her Dad and ask him if they should do synthetic oil and they would only charge her the same price as the regular oil change, she made it very clear that she wanted just a regular oil change. They also tried to sell her an air filter at the price of $25 she said no thanks, he said how about $15, again no, he came back with $5. What is this place an auction on car services? I've used this facility once before for an oil change and had good service. I was put off a little by the constant sales pitch for their services. I returned today for a oil change and state inspection and was totally annoyed by their constant sales pitch for even more services. What got me really fired up this time was my air filter was dirty and needed to be changed. They offered an new one for 24.95 which seemed a little high, when I balked at the price he immediately dropped the price to $14. Really Valvoline you were going to price gouge me $11. Same story for windshield wipers and all the other services. Prices were overly inflated then offered at a 20% discount. Sorry Valvoline you lost my business. read more

I normally do 100% of all my truck maintenance but decided to give them a try. My wife takes her Honda there and raves about the Service and everything they do. Anyway upon arriving there were a couple cars ahead of me but what the heck I am retired. As my turn came up I was greeted with one of the staff. She was friendly and great to deal with, kept me well informed of everything she was doing. Later on drove into a spotless shop and again was greeted by another staff member that took all the information on my truck. I selected for the full synthetic oil change. They preceded on and in no time I was on my way. I read some negatived review but here something to consider, yeah there was a very slight wait big deal, the service and the staff was well worth the wait, yes the price was about right for what I ask for.To me all the staff were very polite, clean and professional. Upon arriving there were only 3 workers even on duty, not good for a Saturday afternoon. There was one car inside the bay. Two cars were waiting on the left side, one on the right side. As I was pulling up the employee directed me to stop. He motioned the driver on the right side to pull back and he pulled in front of me. No problem. I figured they are short handed. So now there are 3 cars in front of me. Not 3 minutes later a car pulls up to the right side. No employee comes out to direct that driver to move to the left side. As I'm waiting, 20 minutes, only one car in front of me gets serviced before the driver on the right side pulls into the bay to be serviced. This was unacceptable. I immediately got out of my car to inquire why this person was getting service while me and 2 other drivers had been there first. First of all I felt ignored because as I'm asking what's going on the employee turned his back on me and walked away. Finally after the only other employee there saw me did manager Jake speak to me. He said the driver of the car that he had let ahead of myself and the other 2 drivers had an issue from the day before. That alone seemed alarming to me or maybe a lie so his friend could get ahead of the line. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't get my car serviced there. Their mistake shouldn't effect other customers. Maybe Jake could have explained to us customers who were there first what was going on. It would have taken him 30 seconds to walk to our cars. While I didn't get my oil changed there I went to the Yorktown shop. Where I also got a fuel system cleaning as well. Plenty of help there. Both bays opened, I counted atleast six employees.
