I have been bringing my '09 Dodge Challenger here for 3 years for routine maintenance. Im auto literate, do some work myself, if i have the tools, otherwise i trust the staff here to take care of my car. Today i needed new rotors. I was hoping they could just be resurfaced, but they have 90k miles on them, i have newish pads, and brand new tires. I needed them done but the price was a little steep (a standard of life with this vehicle, but it still runs like new). This stretched my limit on my Goodyear credit card, so Joe was able to pull some strings, get the price down a little and gave me a year no interest to pay it off. Review for 3/10/15 So, I was in need of a last minute oil change and since this shop was down the street from my home, I decided to give it a try. The assistant manager at the front desk, Paul, was very professional, funny and helpful. Now, the wait was quite long but I expected that because I had checked in without an appointment in the middle of the day but other than that, the service was great. In the mean time, I waited inside the office, they provide a small lounging area with a flat screen tv so you can relax and kill some time while your car is being worked on. My oil change included a free 4-tire rotation and I had a coupon for $10 off, so that was a plus. I'll definitely be coming back but I recommend you to make an appointment ahead of time or leave your car and come back in a couple of hours because it does get busy. read more

I will never go anywhere else,, this is my one stop shop thanks to Micha & Tony, the were honest and they are the reason I will be coming back. Came in for an oil change which included a tire rotation and he brought to my attention 2 of my tires were showing metal. I wasn't going to get tires but since they new it would be unsafe for me to drive on those he met my budget and got me back on the road safely. I had a nail in my tire which I wanted removed and the tire repaired. Some Tire businesses do this kind of work for free. When I asked if they do it for free, I was asked in a sarcastic voice, Do you think we work for free? Do you work for free? He said it would cost $18.38. Needless to say, I left and found a place where they do it for free. At least he could have been courteous even if they don't do this kind of work for free. read more

My husband made an appointment to have new tires put on my car. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment. I had the tires in the back of my car. all that needed to be done was take 4 tires off put 4 tires in balance and alignment. 3 hours later the guy says oh we can't get your car completely aligned because it needs this part that they would order for me. It should not take 3 hours to change tires! read more

I was having a bad day because the tire pressure light came on in my car (turns out I had a nail in one of my tires) and when I took it to Toyota, they refused to patch up the tire and insisted I needed to buy a new tire instead. My tires are fairly new so that made no sense to me. So anyway, I called around the area to see if anyone else could do it. Everyone I called said they were booked for the day until I called this place. They were super friendly, professional, and got to it right away when I arrived. Due to my most recent experience here I am updating my review. Previously I've experienced fast and friendly service, however this trip was not the same. All be it, there was a different person working the counter, but I did not experience the great customer service I previously had, I found him to be rude, and he mumbled when he spoke, making it difficult to understand him. I also had to wait over 2.5 hours for my vehicle to get its oil change service, and that was with a scheduled appointment. I was also told I needed new tires, which I expected, and was given only one option for replacements, which were quoted at nearly 40% higher than I was able to get the same brand down the street at discount tire- I find this to be very disappointing, especially from a tire shop! If you are going to start with an expensive option, at least offer your customers a more affordable option!! I don't know what has changed here since my last visit, but my loyalty to this business was definitely tarnished with this visit, and I'm not sure I'll be going back in the future. read more

My little girls and I were about to head to Yuma, but I had a leaking tire, and I knew I had to replace most of them. Christopher helped us right out, almost like it was a Godsend, because he not only took 3 hours less time than discount offered, but he was also more affordable and his humanity toward me and my girls (family-oriented business) was so perfect at the time we needed it. He gave us free waters, quick and excellent service, and made sure my babies and I were safely secured for our trip back to Yuma. On top of that, he didn't just tell me what was wrong or take advantage of my ignorance, he SHOWED me and educated me on what a good tire is compared to a bad tire. I liked that and appreciated that and believe more businesses should do that. THANK YOU, CHRISTOPHER, and to the technicians! You literally made a crappy situation a blessing. I usually call around to get a feeling of what the prices will be and see if I'm getting a good deal. Josh at the Santee location eliminates all that for me. Service A+, Courtesy A+, Prices A++, Honesty A+. The previous auto shop told me I needed all new brakes and rotors, Josh took me to the back and showed me that I actually had plenty of brake left on all 4 wheels. I replaced all 4 tires and wheel alignment on my 1 year old Subaru on July 7,2020 My bill $930.17 The first problem I had when I left my car to replace the 4 tires Steve the manager would call me to let me know if my car needed wheel alignment because it was a free estimate. So I received a call a few hours later from Steve tell me my car is finished and ready to be picked up. When I looked at the bill Steve Peck snuck in the wheel alignment charge $85 without my authorization. What was supposed to do I ask to remove it . He said he already did the the job so I paid it. The thing that irritated me the most is when I got to work me Detailer notice they scratch all for of my wheels. I have big deep scratches on all 4 of my rims. So I called him to talked about it. The first thing out of his mouth was it wasn't us . There is no way our rims could scratch your wheels. Steve needs too learn more on his customers skills because he doesn't have any. So after 5 minutes of tell me he didn't scratch my rims he tells me to bring it bye tomorrow so he can look at it. Guess what he wasn't working that day. They have a poster in the show room about there 5 star treatment. I guess Steve forgot about that in his customer training manual. It's now 7/22/2020 I fixed all four rims cost me $300. PLEASE Don't Bring your car their for anything go to discount tires in Santee here is their number 619-258-1101 I hope Brett Ponton the president of the company reads my review.its now 8/3/2020 Just an up date still not one call back from the management or call from there insurance company that's supposed to hand the so call claim. I'm letting everyone that reads yelp stay away from this tire repair facility you will get burn. If they pay for the rim repair I will update 8/19/2020 still no up date on my rim repair no call yet. FYI my wife brought her car in because she bought the tire insurance. So guess who help her Steve. He basically said they were too busy to look at her tire. So the tire insurance they sell and get commission isn't worth the paper it's written on. So I told her to bring it to discount tire down the street in Santee. They repaired it in 30min no charge and no appointment she just walked in. That's what customer service is all about stay away from tire choice in Santee. Excellent fast service and the price I could not beat. I came in expecting high pressure sales for my balding tires when all I wanted was a flat repair. I was pleasantly surprised! My trip cost me nothing and after all was said and done the guy looked at me an said "you Know you are going to need new tires soon, right?" And handed me two quotes. The first was all the add-ons that they up-sell and the second was a base quote. He gave me a Quick rundown after I asked and left it at that. Went there early in the day, one car inside and several people killing time. Go inside, end up waiting around way too long only to have a manager walk back inside and say, "Due to policy, we do not work on cars that do not have oil on the dipstick." My car has not a stock dipstick inside the car and does not show oil once it drops half a quart low, except it still had oil showing once I got home. So I will never go to this place, recommend it to people I do not know, or people I do know. Don't waste your time with this place, find somewhere that will actually bother to assist you. read more

I received a Goodyear Tires in Santee, CA ad in the mail with an oil change advertised for $15.88 and it included "free tire rotation" upon request. I called to book an oil change for my 2010 Toyota Corolla. A nice guy booked me for the following day but said my car takes a synthetic oil, which would be a "few more dollars" and asked if this was ok. It was. Today I arrived on time for my oil change. Was rudely greeted (if "greeting" can be used to describe this rude guy's acknowledgement of a customer) by a bored desk clerk who took my keys and walked out to my car without saying a word. He checked the mileage, etc. then walked back into the store, again without saying a word. No customer service here, folks. Its like I'm an interruption to his boring day. Anyway, he starts writing up the order and notes that my car takes synthetic oil, and I said I know I was told this, and then he tells me it'll be $56.00 - NOT $15.88 AS ADVERTISED - AND NOT "A FEW MORE DOLLARS" AS TOLD TO ME ON THE PHONE. This is a classic bait and switch. Its robbery via lies. I plan to finish this yelp review and then head on to the BBB, Goodyear Corporate and other options for customer concerns. This is a miserable place for automotive care - and they lie to get you in the door. Stay away. read more

Blew a tire today, so I called for info on availability of service. Jeff answered and was super friendly and helpful. I was able to get in to have the car looked at immediately, got a great deal on tires, and was very happy that they took time to check out everything else on the car. Jeff showed me all the potential issues on the car, and I was really impressed that he didn't try to "up sell" services to me that I didn't need. My girlfriend used to go here for a while. Then they told her she could save 10 bucks on a $80 oil change if she applied for a charge. Thats right $80 for an oil change. They approved her for an $1500 line of credit. They couldn't find anything else wrong so they told her her shocks were old and needed to be replaced. What do you know....the bill came to about $1500 ! I talked to them because I thought they took advantage of her. They wouldn't budge. Wouldn't even give her coupon for free oil change or anything. My tire blew out last night and I had to have it towed. (My car doesn't have a spare.) I called this morning and Mike was great on the phone. He had his guy pick up my tires, which are a weird size, and said bring it in. The tow truck guy was fast and efficient. When I got there, Mike gave me an honest assessment of my tires. I ended up replacing them all, to avoid another blow out. Mike fit me in, even though they were busy, and the car was done in record time. Stopped buy the shop, Tony and Micah helped me out promptly with my vehicle and were very efficient!

I came in for an oil change and all my fluids to be checked and topped off. They have several offers so I selected the 74.99 oil change full synthetic but my vehicle needed and additional 1.9 quarts which was an additional 36.00 total should have been 110.99... instead my bill was 143.00 and they said they gave me a 10.00 "discount" so the grand total was 134.00. I asked repeatedly to no touch my tires which was included in the coupon because I just got 2 new tires and they were where they need to be. They finished my vehicle and never reset my service light and I look at the bill and they still charged me an additional 29.99 for my tire inspection/rotation which was never done as I sat and watched them through the entire service. If you want to deal with rude people that try to use word manipulation and price gouging then this is your place... it not stay clear of this place. Not to mention the lady in front has zero customer service skills. I was in the automotive industry for 20 years and I know exactly how things SHOULD go. Shame on them! read more

I don't live in San Diego and my brother brought his 4-Runner here to get serviced and he needed a little help paying for the things that needed fixing. When I called, I spoke with Joe and he was patient, kind, great at explaining the work that needed to get done and willing to give my brother a Veteran's discount for the things he fixed. He was also very accommodating when it came time to pay. My brother is very happy with the work they did and if I lived in the area, I would certainly bring my car here to get repaired. My coworker filled my tire up with air and I raced over to these guys knowing they closed at 6 pm, at 5:59 they took me in and replaired my flat for free and without making me feel bad at all for keeping them open. Certified tires now call Tire choice I went there to have my tires balanced. To find out I needed brakes. I got a quote by a gentleman named Steve and he quoted me $189 for the front and $189 for the rear. Next thing you know I go back on Monday and he tells me i may not need the rear brakes,I will get you the best brakes.total price $377.00 with brake fluid exchange I explained I don't need the brake fluid exchange I have a Honda extended warranty that does all my fluids. Then he turns around and tells me my total price will be 277 without the brake fluid exchange. So how did you get from 277 when you said it was 189. Well Steve I did go to the other tire choice.In Claremont Mesa where I had the work done all the brakes around and two rotors these guys were honest and I got a really great price compared to the price you were giving me you need to be honest like the guys in Claremont Mesa Boulevard this is why I talk to your district manager there at that store learn how to deal with customers and try not to gouge them for more money. My advice to other customers to look somewhere else and not go to the store. read more

I called in am and told about tire leaking air. I told manager that I got off work at 5pm and said I could be there at 515pm, he said " no problem that 45 minutes would be more than enough time". I arrived at 512 pm an walked into the empty office. I walked back outside and noticed a gentleman washing a car and a mechanic in a bay working on a car. The gentleman washing the car noticed me, but said nothing. I walked back to check to see if anyone I had missed anyone in one of the other offices. I went back outside when the guy washing the car said " I will be with you when I'm done wiping "My" car! I thought "wow" that's real customer service. I would have never thought that a customer comes second to employees. When he was done wiping down "his" car, he asked me what he could do for me. I explained my situation and what the manager said in the AM when I called. He told me, verbatim, " do you see what time it is, it's late and I'm a manager and don't work on cars, I don't have to". I came in for a tire balancing on good year wrangler kevlar. Theyre hard tires to balance due to kevlar sidewalls. Joe and his team went above and beyond to balance them out and set the air pressure where I needed it. Truck rides much better and they had me in and out real quick. Joe also got me a quote for new tires which was much lower than their competitors. Very clean shop, lots of bays and plenty of parking.
