Woke up this morning, after an afternoon and evening of rain, to my car's low tire pressure light being on. It reflected a PSI of 19! The other three tires were anywhere from 32-34. It's a fact that wet tires get sticky and attract screws. Kind of a bummer because I got the car brand new. It's a 2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL with the convenience package. I went to this tire location and was immediately greeted by a friendly and smiling gentleman named Percy. I explained my concern, and he took my information and got my car right in for service! I'm hoping they can patch the tire from the inside, as tires are not meant to be plugged for safety reasons! They did a great job, and I highly recommend this location in Oakland Park! read more

Went in for a tire patch on a tire with less than 5k miles on it. Nail was just a few inches from dead center of the tread. Sales guy inspects it and says I can patch but tried to sell me a new tire. Within the same breath changes his mind and says I can't patch it and only a new tire will fix it. Told him I was going to Costco since for the same price they wanted to sell me their tire you can buy a Costco membership, a new tire with warranty and hot dogs for the whole family. On my way there went to another shop down the street. Turns out it was an easy patch fix and I was back on the road in 30 minutes. read more

If I can give 0 stars I would. I went in for a simple car battery swap - out with the old and in with the new. Long story short - my car had trouble starting even out of the lot. I voiced my concerns and the general manager said to "just let it settle in and turn the ignition more". I thought I was being overly concerned and took his advice. Dead wrong. My car would not turn on in a parking lot and I requested a car battery jump - which did not work. This began my 6 hour ordeal requesting a tow truck that did not pick me up until late at night. When I begrudgingly went back in the morning to see what was wrong - I was told that the battery they installed was drained and another crucial step of the installation process was overlooked. While I appreciate the honesty, these mistakes have caused me considerable distress, lost time, and additional expenses. I have filed my complaint with their corporate office, and was reassured someone would call me back in "a short time frame". I am still waiting. Overall, deeply disappointed and frustrated with what should be a simple service, 0 out of 5 stars. Avoid at all costs. read more

I called and made an appointment for 1pm. What they don't say on the phone is their only promise is to see your car before they close. They suggested the 1pm appointment. I didn't suggest it. It's 2pm now and they can't tell me how much longer it will be. If I had been told it might be hours before they serviced my car, I could have made other plans. Now I am stuck. This is BAD customer service. If I had know after making a 1pm appointment that I might be here until 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7pm, do you think I would have made the appointment? Give me good & complete information so I could make an informed decision. When they pull a car into a service bay I know they maybe have no idea of what they are getting into in terms of time. BUT they should have an expected idea of time. Mavis is a big company. They must have protocols to use with customers. I think this one should be thought out better. The customer/consumer decides what good service is. Not Mavis or Tire Kingdom or whatever name they are operating under. I'm done with them. I will find an independent tire dealer to buy and obtain service from or a locally owned franchise who's owner cares and knows what good customer service is. read more

What's the point of accepting appointments when they cannot deliver the service on time? But wait, there's more... I saw my car getting parked in front of the waiting area (assuming it's done). I was expecting to get called and no one did. 20 mins had passed when I decided to ask the guy behind the desk. Sure enough, they forgot to inform us! I checked my watch and it was 10:45am when we finally left the place. Again, we only came for wheel alignment! Avoid going to this place at all costs! I took my car there for a diagnostic test. They told me what needed to be done and I told them to do it. They said my car would be ready by the end of business. I left woek early because I get off at 6 and they close at 6pm. At 6p, when they close, I called and got no answer. About 6:15 they called and said my car was ready. I ubered there and waited another 15 mins and watched a guy named Q drive off in my car for a test drive. He walked right past me when he arrived back. I paid and left. I get ready to go on the highway for a test drive and EVERYTHING IN ME SAID DO NOT GET ON THE HIGHWAY. I pass the hwy and my car immediately starts jerking to the right cery hard and shaking. I almost ran into a pole and then a curb while on Powerline Rd. Then it continues to sway and jerk. I realize that the alignment I just paid for was not done properly and that guy Q KNEW MY CAR WAS NOT SERVICED CORRECTLY AND DANGEROUS and STILL TOOK MY MONEY AND GAVE ME MY CAR IN THAT CONDITION. I thankfully made it back there and even though it looked shut down, I pulled up and asked the guy at the register to get the manager Reggie. Frantic and shaken, I told him what happened. He then went on a test drive. The guy Q comes outside yelling at me as if he didn't just take my money and put my life in danger. He then speeds off. Reggie came back and I asked him was it perking and shaking and he said yeah. I asked him "were you scared" and he said YEAH! He said it was unacceptable to have given me my car that way. They kept the car for another day, I ubered home and couldn't attend my Friday plans. Saturday, I had an appt I've been waiting a month for, and missed that also. So my tire TPMS indicator light came on and I had it analyzed at the local AutoZone and the analysis showed the left rear to have a bad sensor. I purchased the sensor ($13.00 OEM) and was out and stopped at this Tire Kingdom. The positive was the very warm greeting when walking in to listening that all I needed was them to replace a valve stem using my own parts. He said that it would not be a problem. I was not asking for parts or to have the system reset, just replace the valve stem! I asked him the price, he input my cars information and said that unfortunately they would have to make an appointment, which I said was fine and understood. He then stated that it would be an hours labor and the cost would be $118.00! WTF people are you looking to chase away business? We are talking about a VALVE STEM not a heart valve! I asked if he made a mistake and he said no this is their hourly labor charge and this is what the book indicated. So here comes the rhetorical question. I'm sure both of our cars will be needing new tires within the next 6-months to a year. Do you really think that I will be stopping in for an estimate on new tires from Tire Kingdom? If a valve stem, that I am supplying is $118.00, one could only guess that new tires at Tire Kingdom would be $10,000.00 plus installation, valve stems, balance and then an up sell for a lifetime wheel alignment. I can ONLY hope that someone from the corporate office reads this review. BTW, you received a 2-star review based on the very polite young man to which I wish I remembered his name! So if you need a valve stem replaced, Walmart on Atlantic Bl in Pompano Beach replaced mine for $3.00 + tax! UPDATE Received a call from their corporate offices apologizing for the "misunderstanding" based on each store has it's own policies and pricing! There were not any "Misunderstandings" and truly a very poor excuse for why this happened! They were wanting to know what they could do to please me and edit the review. I explained that perhaps they could post a valve stem pricing like they do for alignments, balancing etc! While the lady apologized, I always say.. Don't be sorry correct the behavior! John the manager was extremely uncooperative and rude on 1/12/19. I had service done to patch a tire and to replace a TMPS Sensor in my car and left it overnight to make the repairs. I picked up my car on Sunday 10/21/18 and when I drove out of the lot a few minutes the TPMS Sensor came back on. I immediately came back and the store clerk Brian Watson told me that he couldn't help me as the person who specializes in this repair doesn't work on Sundays. Not very happy as I left the car overnight for Tire Kingdom to do a through analysis of my vehicle and test drive it to insure the work was complete. I returned to Ture Kingdom (3rd time for the TMPS problem) in JAN 12, 2019 and met the manager John. I explained to John of my past experience and he immediately went to my car with a small handheld device and identified the faulty TMPS. I asked John to expedite my repair as this was my 3rd attempt to give Tire Kingdom 1 more chance to treat its customers right and he refused. John told me to go ask the 3 customers waiting if I they would allow me to skip the line and have Tire Kingdom take care of a very angry customer due to the inadequacy of the Tire Kingdom technicians. Obviously I refused asked for my keys and left. John needs to read "IN SEARCH OF EXCELLENCE" written by Tom Peters and take classes in customer service management and learn how to care for bad customer service. Even after I showed John the billing on 7/06/18 for $ 297.63 for 2 tires and an oil change as well as the charge for the TPMS and the 10/20/18 billing for the additional TMPS replacement and told him I would NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TIRE KINGDOM AGAIN, he drugged his shoulders and walked away. I would not recommend going here. i brought my car (2014 Chevy Cruz) in for a noise that I heard when my a/c was on. The manager told me it was my timing chain...(if my car even has one). He said "don't worry it wont damage your car the Cruz cars has that defect" he said. Brought it 2 other places and both confirmed it was Tensioner part that holds the main belt....and because I didn't fix it the alternator belt wore down. We took our vehicle last week for problems with the power steering. While at the counter we explained this to individual who was there that we were told it was a leak coming from a pressure hose. This coming from a tech at Walmart who noticed it while doing an oil change a week prior. Guy @ TK says we'll take a look at it and call you. Get the call stating the the pump and reservoir needed replacement costing near $900.00. At this point I say a little steep at this moment and decide to pick up car and drive away. Called tech I know explain the problem he says bring it to take a look. It's a drive but I decide to go up there and if it is what they say ......so be it he can change it and I'll pay him instead. Guess what people it WAS THE HOSE !!!! WHAT THE HECK IS TK TRYING TO PULL OVER ON US? Shame on you guys. This is why people have a tendency to believe that mechanics can't be trusted. It's a blessing to know someone in the field who is in it to make money of course But not trying to rip us off by pretending to change out parts and claiming to have done so to get deeper into our pockets. Please do not use this branch of the franchise to do any work on your vehicle. I dropped my car off on a Saturday for a tire replacement and ac service. Was told it was too late in the day at 2pm to have the tire replaced and it would be Monday before I could expect service. I was fine with that and rented a car. However on Monday I started getting the run around. Part for the ac was supposedly ordered overnight and they should have my car ready by end of day Tuesday. Tuesday i called and was told the part arrived late and car would be ready Thursday morning. Thursday morning I called and was told the part was ordered and not delivered yet, check back Saturday. Dame deal on Saturday and told monday it would be ready. Well....today is Monday and I stobbed by. My car is still in the parking lot with a FLAT TIRE. Of course the manager was not available...so I called at end of day and asked about the car. They have been so busy they weren't able to get to the tire and would like to do it all at once. Meanwhile I could have had a new tire and my car back on Monday if it weren't for the lies and deception. This tire has cost me over 300 in car rental fees! Ridiculous. He caused so much grief and unnecessary aggravation. I immediately took my car to my trusted mechanic who removed all four tires and told me I was fine. Had appointments in Broward this morning and as I was getting off 95 to Commercial Blvd, ran over a large stone that tore through my tire. I needed to find a tire store asap. Just a short drive east on Commercial I found Tire Kingdom. When I pulled in, I was approached quickly and they inquired how they could help. After speaking with Marcus in the office, he was able to locate the tire I was looking for and gave me the cost and how long it would take. I'm glad I fell upon this location because everything I was told they delivered on. My car was ready within a couple hours as I was told and was on my way! She was greeted by a friendly tire squire, who promised to right this unforeseen wrong as she handed over the keys. There was quite a queue when she arrived so she waited and waited. Then waited some more. A few hours later, after all the others had dispersed, the squire returned to say the nail extraction was successful. She reached into her purse and asked how much this service cost, but the squire refused, saying he changed his mind and the service was no charge because of the long wait. She was a bit skeptical, but he insisted, so she accepted. The maiden knew there was a reason she wore skinny jeans that day. And she lived happily ever after. read more

I don't know how much you can say about a tire store but here goes: I had a nail in my tires. I came in and was addressed immediately. Was given the amount that it would cost to fix it and they got it done in a pretty decent amount of time. The only thing I would have changed was it was a little teeny tiny bit noisy in there on the saturday I was there but the service was pretty spectacular. 5 stars for the employees, 4 stars for the waiting area/atmosphere. The tires part started out ok. Of course they found something wrong. My Tpms valve was broken. $65 later it is replaced with four new tires. Chris at TK (all mechanics and sales people make commission) of Oakland Park automatically sneaks in lifetime rotation, blah, blah, blah saying it's included but clearly a separate line item charge. Back to the Tpms. Chris people installed it knowing they didn't have tool to activate it. Three TK and four hours later Lance at the TK in Lauderhill finally programmed it. There is a reason you can drive right into a T K and get tires, while there is a two hour wait at Costco. I should have waited. read more

Had the option to tow my car to replace a flat tire to Tires Plus, or to here - called, manager said it would cost around 80$ out the door. Tires plus was $75.27 out the door, but this was slightly closer so I came here. Walked in, wasn't even greeted or offered help, literally had to ask them to help me (and they did so reluctantly) - and then the price was 90$. I spoke to the manager and told him that was misleading, that I could've gone to tires plus instead, and I would appreciate if he honored what he told me on the phone - at which point he rudely and condescendingly took $4 off, making it $86, insinuating I was being petty and cheap. This is my first yelp review ever- I was so impressed that I needed to write something about this place. I decided to check this place out after getting a 19.99 coupon for an oil change. I also needed a new tire. We walked up to the counter, Jesse had said we would need to wait an hour and a half. I told him we were in a rush and I had to get to work in an hour, he said he'd see what he can do. He also saved me money by recommending a less expensive tire that I ended up going with and was able to get the oil change done and my new tire all set within a half hour. So I went to tire kingdom today to bring back my two-and-a-half-year-old battery that I paid initially $139 for. I was there for over 30 minutes arguing with the guy at the counter and tell him you have to pay an additional $75 on a battery that was only two and a half years old with a 5 year warranty on it. finally the manager came into the picture and he as well telling me that the alternator that'll be placed a year-and-a-half ago and in the last five days I've had my car jumped twice because the car would not start it was my fault because it was possibly the alternator . so I finally got a battery but it wasn't the original one with a five-year warranty it had a two-year warranty as you can see in the pictures posted I will never come back to tire kingdom again I'm very dissatisfied as a customer and buyer beware , also as you can see in the pictures the battery is facing in the wrong direction it's not the one for my car as you can see would be facing the other direction where you can read it not upside down . So after doing some research on the internet it turns out interstate batteries have all the same problems in the series of lasting for only two to two-and-a-half years and not just myself with other people having the same problem returning them and having to pay half of what they paid initially for the battery that paid $139 for.
