I dropped my car overnight and was told nothing about appointments. I had a doctors meeting for my child at 12:30, and i did not receive my vehicle until 2:15 pm. I was told if i left my car over night my car would be done first thing in the morning. I called around 11:45 and told them what had happened and they assured me the car would be next. I get there at 1 pm just to wait in lobby for another hour. While looking at my car in the bay, nobody was working on it. Just sitting there in the air. I asked if they could hurry plz and they said sure and while i watch them they still had no urgency. And to add the icing on the cake the employees are telling me what i could have done better to avoid this from happening. That is not right i did nothing wrong. In fact i called the night before to make sure my car was ok to drop off and to make sure my car would be taken care of at a decent time to make my appointment. Mike the employee never said anything about appointments or ask me to make an appointment. I was lied to about my car and i also felt like an invaluable guests.( sorry for the typos). Went to have a leak patched in the middle of my tire. Was told it be ready in 1 hour, 90 minutes later my car finally made it into the garage for repair. Technician told me my tires were almost ready for replacement and they would not repair a simple leak. Went to another reputable tire store and they were happy to fix the tire. Andrew was amazing and showed me what I actually needed fixed and why... which is super helpful when your tires are so worn that they're literally busting open. Editing my review, you'll see why below. Today was the second day I've visited this location for car work in the last 30 days. The first time I had the gentleman at the desk inspect the tread on my tires and he told me that they were close to needing to be replaced but a rotation should suffice for now. When I brought the car in two days later I was told the tread was bad and the only option I had was to buy new tires. But I was given a "deal". I chocked this up to the fact the first guy checked them at night and moved on. Today I went in for a scheduled oil change. The conventional oil change he was listed around $31.99 on their website with an additional $5 off coupon from Valvoline. I was expecting to pay around $26.99 plus tax. When I arrived today Mike told me I would receive a $7 off instant discount. I was excited for extra savings! Then I was quoted $42 and some change total for the work. When I questioned this Mike did a pretty bad job of describing why there was such a difference from the online quote when I made my appointment. He then whispered to me, "But I'll give you an extra $10 off if you go on Yelp right now and give us 5 stars." Sadly, I did just to get the discount. But now I'm adding the full story. I also got a call from Mike telling me the guys recommended an alignment because "my tire was starting to show wear on the edges". I declined but when I checked out a different guy told me they only recommended the alignment as it was standard for my mileage. I wouldn't recommend Tire Kingdom to anyone. My boyfriend and I came just for a flat tire repair. The customer service is honestly so horrible, they barely pay attention to customers walking in and they lack eye contact. We waited about two hours just for them to finally take the car back, they opened the hood (for what reason, who knows bc we came for a tire). We walked back to see what was going on and there are so many employees who could actually be working while only a handful of them were. We had to ask what was happening and couldn't even really get a direct answer. We walked away and got a call thirty minutes later saying we needed a new tire and it would be about $160 for the tire and service fee. We agreed to it and had to wait another 45 mins. All in all, it took like 3 hours just to get a new tire Last place I went to (Pep Boys) only took about 45 mins total from the time we entered the door until we left. The employees are pretty friendly. I have a foreign make SUV, so I am not sure how skilled or knowledgeable the mechanics are with my vehicle, although they claim they are. I go there, and to other similar shops, because the dealer will definitely overcharge. I have been to this location several times. On one occasion they did not honor their original quote and I had to end up paying more. Furthermore, sometimes I have had to return because the work done was incomplete. They have a coffee lounge with a TV in addition to the main waiting area in front. For my most recent tire change I went to another outfit. So I will stay away.. for now. read more

This place is a joke! I went in because I had a nail in my tire. There was only one customer in front of me, and after waiting 20 minutes of not even being acknowledged by any of the several employees, it was finally my turn in line. I asked how long and how much to fix the tire. 1 hour and 15 minutes and $49.95. I was a little surprised because Discount Tire fixes flats for free, but I was already there and I had someplace to be in 2 hours. An hour and a half later the car was in the bay, but the work had not been started. I politely asked "how much longer", and the guy said "15 minutes, we weren't able to find the wheel lock key". I was in the store the whole time and the key was in the glove box. It was another 40 minutes before they were done, NOT 15 minutes. Then I go to pay and it's $60. "What happened to $50", I ask. $8 in shop fees. I use to own a tire and wheel shop for 10 years in another state. I know that it was a 20 minute job. And I know how easy it is to give good customer service. This experience was a "D" at best. read more

HORRIBLE! My teenage daughter needed to get an oil change and a tire rotation on her car. I found an online coupon for an oil change and tire rotation for $19.99, and we made an appointment online using the promocode listed on the coupon. When my daughter arrived (she was by herself, as I was at work), the employee had no knowledge of the coupon offer or price. My daughter asked for the cheapest oil change, and she was charged $40.99 for a PREMIUM CONVENTIONAL OIL CHANGE. They never did the tire rotation. They then pressured her into buying over $300 worth of unnecessary repairs. Avoid this place at all costs! Never Again... I have been here 3 times, each time WITH an appointment, I usually show up early knowing it takes at least 15-20 minutes just to talk with someone at the counter. Every time I "check in" I am told that it will be at least 2 hours since they are backed up with earlier appointments. I always ask why make an appointment if it's consistently 2 hours later than scheduled. It may help if they had more than only half the bays open, under staffed? When my car gets in it only takes 15 minutes to do what they need to do but another half hour to get the keys back and complete the paperwork. I found another local place, Rikers Automotive & Tire which is much friendlier and accommodating which I will be using from now on....I don't work there or know anyone there...I just appreciate REAL customer service! read more

Raymond (Majorca Place shop) may display low customer service skills but he does a fair job with the "double" Bait and Switch! I input my car information and made an appointment 24 hours in advance. When I arrived, I was told that he did not have the 0W30 conventional oil required and that I would have to upgrade to synthetic ($54 more). I asked that we use a blend (only $26 more). When asked to sign the estimate, I discovered another (not mentioned) up charge of $20 for a filter. He said they did not have the correct aftermarket filter and that he had ordered an OEM filter! I noticed my PSI Gauge on my 2019 Chevrolet Camaro with low air pressure on the rear right tire. I noticed a nail lodged dead center in my tire (picture provided). I found out about it on Saturday night and ran to Tire Kingdom, I arrived at 6:50pm and they closed at 7pm. The mechanic was nice enough to inspect the tire (on the ground) and said it's easily patchable but come back tomorrow, he added air pressure to my Tire and we agreed in the morning. I had to work so my sister went in my place. She got there at 9am when they opened on Sunday and she sat for a little over 2 hrs before the car could be looked at. They lifted the car and told her that the tire was a "ride on flat" tire and couldn't be patched (complete BS). They refused to patch the tire and was trying to SCAM her into buying a whole new tire for $130. The manager on duty was Michael. I assume they saw a female and wanted to take advantage of her. The following morning I took a day off of work and went to Tuffy Tire on Kirkman and Metro west and took great care of me. They noticed the nail and saw it was in the center of the tire and patched it right away and noticed that it wasn't a "ride on flat" tire. So does the employees at Tire Kingdom SCAM females or are they incompetent and don't know their own tires? I say, "stay far, far away", especially if you're a woman. read more

I made an appointment to get new tires, brakes and to change the oil. They called the wrong number to update me on the progress of service. They kept the car overnight and when I went to pick up the car the next day they said the vehicle is done. After looking through the paperwork I noticed they did not change the oil and they needed to keep the car all day. I normally have good service but the new guys in the shop are horrible!! read more

Took almost 3 hours for a oil change and tire rotation that I had an appointment for.

Found myself in a very tough position when traveling a few weekends ago when the valet at my hotel pulled my car around with a flat tire at 4:15 PM on a Sunday. I was on a frantic search just to find a place that was open and the Tire Kingdom stores were the only chain I was going to be able to get to before they closed (6 PM that day). This location on Majarco answered the phone quickly, immediately was able to confirm they had my tire in stock, but told me that there was no way they'd be able to help me because they were too busy. I said, "you are open for another hour and 45 minutes, and you're telling me there's no way I can get this tire today?" They said that they were the busiest Tire Kingdom in the city and if I wanted to wait with the car I can bring it there but they most likely wouldn't be able to look at until tomorrow. I didn't have a fullsize spare and needed to get home for work the next day, taking that chance would've been my last option. I was 3+ hours away from home and a place that told me they had my tire was then telling me they would not be able to help whatsoever. It was a very helpless feeling. I was very fortunate I was able to find another Tire Kingdom that was more accommodating to get a new tire, but because the Majorca Place location wouldn't provide the service I needed, I also had to drive 20+ minutes out of what would have been the way home to get there. I understand if you want to get home on a Sunday, but if you're leaving a potential customer high and dry when they need you the most then you're doing your company a disservice who would probably be ashamed to hear you told someone with almost 2 hours remaining in your work day you couldn't do anything to help them. If customer service is viewed as an inconvenience (it really isn't for everyone), you should consider a change in professions. read more

Today I hit my side-rear-view mirror and it flipped around in a way I couldn't get it back. I called Tire Kingdom to see if they could fix it and they said to bring it by and they'd check it out. Within 20 seconds of walking in the door Andrew greeted me and came straight out to my car. He was able to fix it and offer some advice. When I asked how much he didn't charge me anything! Needed 2 tires for a stock jeep. Was told it would be 1 hour to get tires, then 30 minutes to install. They would not order tires to store until I brought the wheels in. Brought them in, was told it would be 2 hours to get them. Got the tires in after 2 hours, tech told me 1 hour to install. I have mounted and balanced 4 wheels and tires in 15 minutes. Returned to the shop after the hour, and was told another 10 minutes. The tech had just begun, and left them to tend front desk. I am currently waiting still, and it has been 20 minutes, rather than 10, and still not a word. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS Update: finally got the tires done, and the guy tried to charge me $485! I have used this place twice. The 1st trip I couldn't be happier. I needed my battery replaced and was running late for work. The guy at the desk got me taken care of and in and out in minutes.... 2nd time? Completely different story. I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation and alignment. Guy inside sold me on the up-sell for their oil change package with synthetic oil... GREAT!! I left my car and walked over to meet my sister and nieces for lunch. I returned after about 90 minutes and they were just finishing the alignment. Awesome timing, sign my paperwork and get my keys. Did a quick walk around my car and noticed the tires were still in their same locations. I went back in and asked the manager and he said it had been checked off as done on the list but he would have them do it again. 10 minutes later and done. Back into my car and checked things a little more closely. I notice an oily footprint on the floor mat and a hand print on my center console. Back inside to complain again, manager is now getting annoyed as I am but offers nothing. I decide to just leave and not go back again. Driving the 2 miles home I went to use the wiper fluid (which should have been topped off with the oil change) and it was empty. Now Im furious!! I stopped at a different garage that is actually closer to my house and pay them to check everything they 'claimed' they had done on my vehicle. There were a couple other things not topped off but the thing that got me was that they didn't even use the synthetic oil I paid for. I contacted the manager a few times by phone as well as their corporate office but kept ending up in someones VM. I've also emailed and no response. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK! I LOST MY PRECIOUS TIME and they made me lose my temper, to say the least! It took about 3 hours for them to change 1 headlight! They originally told me 1 hour, time to get the light and change it. Seems that they received the wrong piece from the warehouse, which is the most 30 min away from the garage. I understand mistakes happen and they don't have control of what happens at the warehouse but 3 hours is really pushing too much! I went into Tire Kingdom on 12-11-2020 when I noticed a small screw in the tire of my SUV. My SUV has just over 8,000 miles on it. The screw was in the contact patch so I knew it was an easy patch job. I was not losing any air and had no messages on my dash showing my tire was low on air. I was greeted nicely enough and after signing numerous work orders I was told I had a wait of approx. 1 hr. There was myself & 2 other customers in the shop. After just over 1 hr. I was told a patch was installed & was charged $32.60. The very next morning the hazard warning lights on my dash were warning the tire I had patched was low. It was the weekend, so I continued to add air and monitor my tire. I went back to Tire Kingdom on 12-14-2020, Monday and told Michael, the counter person what was going on. He had me pull my SUV up to the 1st bay. A mechanic then added air and they seemed fine with doing just the bare minimum. I asked if they could look a little deeper into the tire because I did not want to have a problem and get stuck out on the road. They told me I would be added to the end of the line. A minimum of yet 1 more hr. was needed for to get to my SUV and at that point, whatever time was needed to address the problem. I explained to the manager that I already waited 1 hr. and I should not be put at the end of the line for a job that should be completed. They told me I could drive my vehicle as is and if I had a problem, I could come back. When I expressed my concern that by doing that I could be left stranded with a flat tire, I was told, "That is Tire Kingdom's policy". To that I then replied, I would be taking my SUV somewhere else to have the tire patch looked at. I told both the counter person and the Shop Mgr that I could go just about anywhere to have fixed. I could care less about the $32.50 I was charged, for god sakes every time I take one of my vehicles in for service, my bills are usually in the thousands. I have 3 vehicles, when I feel comfortable with a business, I usually stay with that business for years. Conclusion! If Tire Kingdom cannot handle a simple patch, how am supposed to feel comfortable going there for anything else. I will not be going back to this tire shop nor can I refer them to friends and family in the future. That is my Policy... read more
