It was time to get tires, although I wasn't happy about it. I had purchased a pre-owned, pre- certified vehicle (or so I thought) in the Miami area with the understanding that my tires were "new". After driving almost 3,000 miles, it was time for my synthetic oil change. I made an appointment with a local referral and was told that my tires couldn't be rotated because 2 of my tires were almost bald and the other two not far behind. You bet your bottom dollar I called the salesman that sold me my car, to which I was put on the phone with the manager, who basically told me that the car had been inspected carefully and passed certification so nothing could be done. Meanwhile, many had referred me to this particular Tires Plus location, so I popped in on a Tuesday, albeit at the end of the day to get information. It was busy, many coming in to pick up their vehicles that work had been completed and, I waited patiently for my turn. Kirk was very patient and knowledgeable with regards to my needs and went over everything for my vehicle along with a printout of the discussed information and numbers. He asked me if I wanted an appointment and, I asked for a card to call back to set one up. He even told me which mechanic I should have work on my car. I later called, spoke to Chris and set up an appointment for Thursday. I was told the tires, balancing and alignment would take about 2-3 hours. Okay, appointment set. I showed up about 15 minutes early for appointment and Kirk was not there at the time, however, Noel, the manager was finishing with a customer and told me he would be right with me. He went over everything and told me that the work should be done in about an hour and a half. I left with my friend who graciously came to get me to do errands in the meantime. My car was checked for the mileage and taken into a bay almost immediately before I left. (Note: I had been to another place with my previous car and even with an appointment, it would be over an hour before my car was even moved into a bay for work to be completed.) So, for this, I was very pleased. It was almost 5pm, long past an hour and a half, when i had missed a call that my car was ready. I immediately called back, spoke to Frank who told me car was ready, but there were two recommendations for me; air filter needing to be replaced and some fluid to be put into my gas tank, which I was surprised since having a previous car for over ten years, NEVER being told to do this treatment. Apparently, this treatment is being recommended for newer cars, and for this, I am pleased that this company is staying on top of things. Frank told me the price and, I gave the go ahead. I really wish I had been called prior to my car out of the bay to have it done so that I wouldn't have had to wait another hour when I went to pick up the car. This could all have been avoided had I been called earlier. Of course, arriving at 5pm, towards the end of the day, place was busy with customers being helped and retrieving their vehicles and, I had to wait my turn to have the two recommendations taken care of and to pay my bill. Like I said, this could have easily been prevented, but once it was to be done, it was done quickly outside where my car was parked in a space. On top of it, the air filter was the wrong size for my vehicle and one would have to be ordered. I was told I would be called as soon as next day and, I could pull up, have the old one switched out and, be on my way. A little inconvenience, but it will be resolved, so no biggee. One thing I am impressed with this company is about the tires themselves: you are given 90 days to drive on them and if for any reason, not happy, can come back and replace the tires with alternate ones. This is an ideal plan and very pleased about this. Okay, now I am going to see about that air filter, but this location will be the place for my auto needs. Thank you Tires Plus!!! read more

Went here for repair of a slow air leak on my right front tire. The gentleman behind the counter comes outside and takes a look at the tire to gauge if there sufficient tread on tire and says, no problem. As we return to the office a tall goofy looking gentleman claiming to be the manager abruptly and without solicitation says, "the tire needs to be replaced." Unbelievably, he was able to assess this from within the office and without doing what the first worker did. Clearly, this was a ripoff attempt absent a gun. After pointing out his shyster tactics he became argumentative and aggressive. Feeling uncomfortable on what was occurring I left and took my business across the street. Total waste of time. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I called Monday and spoke with Nick, explained I had a road trip Thursday and needed my tires mounted by Wednesday. He said no problem, they had plenty of availability. Tires arrived Tuesday. I called again to confirm, spoke with Art, who told me to come in Wednesday anytime after 10am. Said it would take two hours, tops. I show up on Wednesday at 10am, and now suddenly they're short-staffed and can't take me until tomorrow. The guy at the counter is on the phone with Nick, same guy who told me I was good to go on Monday, and they both told me today was not an option. Things happen, but they made zero effort to offer a solution. No apology, no urgency, no effort to fix it. Just shrugged me off. Now I'm scrambling last-minute to find someone else so I don't drive unsafe tires on a road trip. If you value your time or basic professionalism, take your business somewhere else. read more

I brought my car in for a brake check. I was told my brakes were fine but I needed to do a fuel system cleaning and to replace my hood shocks. I was so happy that my brakes were good, so I opted for the fuel system cleaning. I was told it needed to be done every 25,000 miles. I should have known better. After it was completed I asked one of the mechanics what he did, he could not give me an answer. So, after researching it in my manual, it is not needed until 60,000 miles if at all. THIS PLACE DESERVES A -ZERO Let me just say that this was a terrible experience. This was my first time here because I was originally sent from the place where I usually get my tires serviced. They were fully booked and referred me to their sister store. When I arrived, I was greeted by a representative who casually said, Hey, what's up? When I explained that I had a large nail in my tire and needed to drive to Miami, he told me he could plug it, but that it would only be a temporary fix and that I shouldn't be on the road. I was very clear in asking, So why are you going to plug it if I've told you I need to get on the road? His response was, Then why don't you go somewhere else? Why are you here? His attitude was extremely abbrasive, confrontational, and disrespectful. I also made it clear that my son had to drive two hours away, yet he continued to be dismissive and rude. I felt very unsafe in his presence due to how aggressive he was. At that point, I decided I would never give them my business and walked away. Came in to get a quote and was told to call back with the quote info to order my tires. When I called back the man who answered asked me all the same questions and refused to look up my quote info. (I got this quote only 4 days prior) When he gave me what was supposed to be the same quote, it was hundreds of dollars more. I have always frequented Tirs Plus in Boca Raton and have spent money consistently for oil changes and tires. I have always been impressed with their customer service until now. Their front desk customer service with representative John has been highly disappointing. I have called and I've stopped in early in the morning and not long after store opening and I was rudely told that if I needed something that was dragging on my car that was dangerous to drive with I would need to drop off my car for the entire day. He cut me off when I was explaining the issue and just said it's only drop off and wouldn't let me even explain that I just needed his assistance for 5 minutes. I took 3 cars to the one on Hypoluxo off I-95. Son met a guy Alex I think his name one. Chris was the manager. We bought tires for 3 cars over 1-2 month. 2 weeks, my son F150 had a tire pressure light on. Then a week later, my car had on, then a few days later my wifes came on. Call, guy said probably the battery in them. I said 3 cars, new tires in a month. He said yes, or a nail in the tire (all three cars? We all work in different directions for work). I ask can I bring the car in at least, he said Mon-Fri early. We all work (so we can afford a car). He said that was the only says they can check it. NOTE: All tires bought on the weekend for the vehicles. Oh, and all the batteries died at the same time? I asked him, then informed him mine is a 2010, wife's is a 2017, son's is a 2018. Had a 8am appointment for a realignment that wasn't properly done the first time.. Got there at 7:30 and the job order was written up. Waited until almost 10am and they put another vehicle on the alignment rack that had arrived after I did. The person who had written up the job order had left for the morning and when I spoke to the person at the front, they said that I did not have an appointment written on the job order. I asked him to check his computer and he saw that I did have an 8 am appointment. I wasted 2 1/2 hours waiting to get a redo on an alignment that was not performed right the first time. I have a lifetime alignment package but that seems to be worthless. Overall, the service was inept and lacking. I will never return there for any service. read more

I had a tire that kept leaking. Told the front desk I only want two new tires on the back. They decided to change the front tires instead and left my rear tires on. Called back later that day to get it fixed. The guy on the phone understood, told me to bring it back in and they would fix their mistake. They would be ready for me in 30 mins... I get there and someone else said well we are kinda busy it's gonna be a while. If you tell a customer on the phone a timeline, you need to stick to that timeline. In Boca Raton, on 441 the staff are very unknowledgeable. What they promise is never done in time and if you make an online appointment that doesn't mean anything. No professionalism. If your car has a lock on the tire you have to provide for them otherwise you can take your car home. In a tire shop, they can t remove your tires. Extremely honest, a tad pricey but they do the work and do it well! If you need tires they will give you the best price, just do your homework before you get them. I had gotten a flat tire this past Tuesday 9/28 on my Chevrolet and needed a new tire. I originally had an appointment the next day at the dealership. Upon arriving I waited a little bit and the service advisor said they didn't have my tire in stock and would have to order it. Why schedule someone an appointment before checking to see if they have the tire in stock? Anyway long story short, I called Tires Plus and they immediately said they would order it and they said that I could drop my car off and leave it there overnight and it was done by 9:30! Had another mechanic hold onto my car for 36 hours before deciding he was too busy to fix my A/C. Left me with no A/C at 4pm on a Friday in the Florida heat of August, scrambling to find a mechanic open on the weekend. I usually avoid the big chains like a plague, but I was desperate and they work on Saturdays. The Tires Plus on 441 in Boca took a job J & C Auto Repair couldn't do in 36 hours and did it in 7- for $300 less than J&Cs quote. Kirk and his team were professional, communicated with me throughout the day, and made me rethink my prejudice towards the big repair chains, at least this location. My elderly mother dictated this to me: I found Tires Plus to be scrupulously honest. I entered their store expecting that I needed a new tire. However, the salesperson examined the tire and informed me that the tire was still in very good condition and was safe. They easily could have sold me a new tire. If you look at my review history you will notice that I seldom write bad reviews. A place has to really screw up for me to give them 1 star. I have been a Tires Plus customer for over 8 years. I have been coming to this location for over 1.5 years. I have a lifetime alignment, balance and rotation package for my vehicle. So I always give them my business. From now on just on principle I wont be bringing my car to them because of their unethical behavior. I took my car in 2 months ago for the above work and for them to put on brand new tires on my vehicle. I know that sometimes the mechanics have to work fast/have deadlines so they can mistakenly damage your vehicle. I have no problem with this. What I do have a problem with is lying about it and denying responsibility. When I got my car back I did a visual inspection and saw deep scratch marks on two of my rims. My vehicle is immaculate and doesn't have any damage. So before I even left their parking lot I asked for a manager and pointed out the scratches. It was clear that someone could have mistakenly damaged the rims while changing out the tires. Unbelievably the manager said the machine they use couldn't have done that, the damage was already there and that the damage was probably caused by rock chips on the road. I know enough about cars to know that the damage wasn't caused by rock chips. The scratches were too deep for that to happen. Funny thing is that the 3 scratches were deep but they were only about 1.5-2 inches in length. So they were not that noticeable. I would have been just fine if they just admitted fault and gave me 50% off on my service for the day. That 50% would have come out to about $30. The repair cost for both rims would have been anywhere from $140-200. So I was being more then reasonable. Instead the manager called me a liar and said that the damage was already there. When I pointed out that I have been a customer with them for 8 years and have never made a complaint so its unlikely I was making it up; he just proceeded to double down and call me a liar again. That's what offended me me more then the damage. The fact that they would call a long term loyal customer a liar who has never complained about anything in the years that he has been coming to this chain. Their "arbitration" was a joke. They have their own chosen "independent" inspector come down and do an inspection. Of course that inspector came to the same conclusion as the manager. What a big shocker right? Because of this I will never give them business again. Their refusal to do the right thing will cost them thousands that they could have gotten from me. All I can say is that if you decide to do business with them after reading my review; take a timestamped video of your vehicle before you let them touch it so they cant screw you over like they did to me. read more

I went to Tire Plus and requested to add Freon to my car. My car is a 2007 LexusRX350 which I only had 77,200 miles. Steve the manager told me I needed to get a new air conditioner. Which would cost me $4,500.00. My air conditioner was low. They drained the air completely out. I told them I want to get a second opinion. I went to Tire kingdom and they check my air and told I just needed Freon and put dye to see if I had a leak in my air. It Only cost me $200.00. So, get a second opinion when dealing with these Thieves. I am a women. But, I also have Multiple Sclerosis. So they attempted to advantage of me. Worst company ever. Do not trust them. A couple of weeks ago I had a nail in my tire and went there and much to my surprise I was immediately told that the nail was too close to the edge and that I needed a new tire which would cost me $220!!!!!
