Warning: Poor Service and Unsafe Product at This Tire Retailer…read more I feel compelled to warn others about our troubling experience at this location. Our 2023 vehicle had a small screw in one of the tires, but it held air for quite some time before gradually losing pressure and triggering the warning light. A simple plug should have resolved the issue. Instead, the shop insisted the tire needed to be replaced and sold my domestic partner a so-called "good used tire." As seniors who don't drive frequently, we didn't expect trouble. But just two weeks later, during a trip to Florida's Space Coast, the car began shaking violently about halfway there. The shaking worsened rapidly, and with no safe place to pull over, we were forced to drive well below the speed limit just to maintain control. We finally stopped at a reputable tire center, where we were told the tire was "obviously defective and posed a serious safety risk. and we were lucky to avoid an accident." When we returned to A-Plus Tires and explained what happened, we were met with indifference. We asked for a refund, of $75 only to be told they don't accept returns after 15 days. It had been 30 days--including a week we were out of town--but this policy was never disclosed at the time of purchase. Had we known, we never would have agreed to buy a used tire. When at home we drive around 50-100 miles per week. The tire had fewer than 500 miles on it, yet it could have caused a serious or even fatal accident. We expected at least a refund, an apology, or some acknowledgment of the danger we faced. Instead, we got none of the above. Please be cautious. This business showed no integrity, no accountability, and no concern for customer safety.

The staff was friendly enough, but when they tried to remove the wheel, they had to use a special key that fit the wheel lock, which I supplied to them. They proceeded to wreck the key but using the air drill, so the key got stripped. They called me and I said I had another key. I drove back, gave them the backup key and while I was there, I saw them with the air drill trying to remove the lock and they stripped the replacement key as well. Good thing I had a second backup. They made no offer to pay to replace the ruined keys, instead saying that they could remove the lug for $50 to 'repair' the issue. I told them to return my car. I didn't want them to touch it after that. I will take it to a reliable mechanic to have the flat fixed.

Korby here -- I was just there this morning…read more About a month and a half ago, I brought my vehicle to ATC for an A/C issue. I was told the system would be evacuated and recharged, and that a leak check would be performed. I was later informed no leaks were found, and I was charged for the service. The A/C worked initially. Roughly 2-3 weeks later, the cooling performance declined again. I returned and was told the issue was a leaking evaporator, with an estimate of about $1,800. Because the leak had not been identified during the initial visit, I decided to get a second opinion. Another shop performed a full diagnostic with UV dye and showed clear visual evidence of a leak at the condenser (front of the vehicle), including visible dye on the condenser core and signs of physical damage. They also found no indication of an evaporator leak. The repair was completed for significantly less than the original estimate, and the issue has been properly identified. I'm sharing this so others understand the importance of confirming the exact source of an A/C leak before committing to major repairs.
