When we moved here from Las Vegas, we no longer had our tools to work on our vehicle, so we had no choice but to look for a decent car shop. First time we ever came in to Tires Plus we were attended by Dwayne, for an oil change. Unfortunately they took longer than their scheduled time for an oil change. We had no problem with the wait, upon paying Dwayne gave us a free oil change for our next visit. Next visit came and they attended us and returned our vehicle in said time! We decided to return for all of our cars needs, we got brand new tires here, oil changes, etc. I highly recommend this location. Very friendly staff that explains everything thoroughly. They will not over charge said price until spoken to you! Will continue to return to them until we return to Las Vegas. read more

Then I waited another hour to find out that they have no solution for the problem on my car that they caused a week prior. They will not take responsibility for what they caused. This place will take you for what you are worth! I took my car there quite often. They offered me windshield wipers with a lifetime warranty for $40. I noticed that these wipers were smearing water all over my windshield, and did not help. I went back a couple of months later to get an oil change and asked if they could fix them. They called me a few hours later wanting to do a dye test because I supposedly had an oil leak. I told them not to worry about it, that I would have someone else take care of it. They never checked the windshield wipers. A few days later (with no engine light on) a friend checked my engine, and all was fine. No leak. I went back today to get the wipers checked and apparently a lifetime warranty is not the case. It is only a six month warranty. They still wanted me to pay for one of the wiper blades. This is a HORRIBLE company! read more

Me, my roommate, and boyfriend have all had our cars serviced here. The service is impeccable. If someone doesn't know the answer, then someone else there does. None of us has ever had an issue with Tire Plus at this location. The prices are fair. The best part is they don't try to up sell you on something you don't need. This place is horrible. Don't go. Got just 1 tire 2 weeks ago and had to go to Goodyear by my house as they advised the tire was bad and need some warranty work done. Took it back 3 times and still haven't had it replace. Bank is happy to drop the charge and get my money back. Fair warning this place is sketchy and unprofessional. Good luck! read more

I dealt with the Ken (I think he was the manager), Robert, and J.T.(the auto-mechanic). I came in for a tire rotation and ended up getting an oil change and an alignment check. Lots of jokes and good humor. I even got a referral for an auto detailing company. And the service was FAST. Good times. read more

Last time I will ever bring a car here. Each time I have had issues from them keeping my car overnight without calling me (called 10 times 30 mins before close and no one answered. They had my car since 4pm and I had a super important meeting next morning. When I called the next AM, they haven't even started on it. I had to get an UBER), to them twice not changing my windshield washer fluid when I got oil changed. This last time the fluid was so low, that the sensor light was on. I pick my car up and they assured me that it was topped off. On the way home, I noticed the light was still on, so I called again and he proceeds to tell me there is no such thing as a windshield wiper sensor and that they 100% filled it up. So I go home and look in manual that states the sensor I am seeing is the one meaning low washer fluid. I call again and they said they definitely changed it, but can bring it back if I want to. Well, instead of driving back and looking stupid, I decide to open my hood and check fluid. Yup, it was almost gone. I turned my windshield wipers on a few times and it emptied. Took it back and with no apology, they filled it up. The only good thing about this place and the reason why they are getting 2 stars is because of the nice lady in the jeep that works there. They told me it wouldn't be long for my oil change and after an hour, my car still had not moved. So she offered to drive me home, since I lived .03 away. I've used tires plus a lot, just won't be back to this one. Update: In response to the message from Tire's Plus below, we did express our concerns to your staff with no apology. Went there to get two tires put on my car called for an appointment. They called me and asked if I could come in the half hour later because they were busy I said no problem. When I got in and I asked them to filled the air on the spare tire because the light had indicated it was low. And also to see if it was the tire that was making the vehicle squeak when turning corners. I left and came back in hour and a half later my car was still not ready. I said how well at least I have $59 coming to me because you did not hit the 60 minute deadline. Again I came back and hour and a half later. I walk next door a half hour after that they called and said my car was ready. The manager said that because I only got two tires instead of four tires the deal did not apply. I thought it should take less time to put two tires on than four tires but okay when I went to pick up my car I said today check the air in the tire in the back the Service advisor behind the counter did not know how to respond he said well they should have they're supposed to. I said WeatherBug got all the other pressures what was that. He said they didn't write it down but I'm sure they filled it. They did notThey said oh somethings bent under there you should take a body shop. I said was bent he said I don't know something. I said that doesn't give me a lot of reassurance. I called the hotline the gentleman said that he felt that I should be concerned with those issues yet when the area director Randy called me back he likes to have cared less and said I don't know why you're worried about it being bent underneath it shouldn't give you any problems yet he didn't even know what the problem was. I asked why they wouldn't write it down on the ticket what the actual piece that was bent cents every part of the car has a name he said sometimes they don't. And that's why they told me to go to a body shop. I thought the location on Atlantic Boulevard was just an isolated incident but after reading all the other reviews I'm beginning to realize it's all of Jacksonville. This location I went to on Southside Boulevard I taken all my other cars prior to moving on the other side of town and now they fall prey to bad leadership. This Tires Plus is GREAT!! I went to one of there comparators this morning because my check engine light came on. They wanted to charge me $100 for a diagnostic test I know that is the going rate. They would not do a system check like the auto parts stores do. I went to Tires Plus and they do it for FREE. The guy that helped me remembered who I was and I have not been in there in about two months. I recommend everyone to go to this place. read more

Went for an oil change ($130 / drop car off), then all of a sudden I get a call that my car won't start. I come in to pick up my car and it's running outside. The desk person informed me that he thinks it's the battery and tells me he can install me a new one for $400. I had no problems with my battery before taking it into this location (NONE!). The battery some how developed a dead cell and cost me $200 at O'reilly's...cheaper but totally unnecessary (due to scammers). I will never go back!!!!! read more
