My experience with tire plus was abysmal to say the least .I had to pay a very large amount just to get a diagnostic for my air conditioning to find out. They told me I'd need a completely new system which would charge more money. I went to another mechanic and they fixed it for 3/4 of the price of the diagnostic that tire plus charged me . Also the gentleman that helped me was actually very rude. He had a very condescending tone and should not work in anything having to do with customer service. read more

Nightmare. I bought tires here for my daughter's car 2 years ago. I bought the warranty. The car has barely been driven in that time, as she moved to New York City and left the car here. Still, I took it in for an oil change and tire rotation. They claimed they couldn't rotate the tires because there was too much wear, but I could buy new tires for almost full price, despite the warranty. The guy I talked to (He said he was the service manager) claimed the tires had worn unevenly because I didn't get get them rotated often enough. Then, when I said I'd only driven a few thousand miles, he said it was because I didn't get them aligned when they were installed. Now what are the odds I'd pay for a warranty but not get the alignment? Either they didn't offer it, or they did it. He went through my receipts and claimed that I'd had 94,000 miles on the car when I was last there. The car currently has 88,000 miles. He said, "The person who did this didn't know how to enter the mileage." Turned out it was the manager! Eventually, he said I'd had 84,000 miles (10 year old car), which meant we'd driven 4000 miles on the tires, so probably about 10-15% of the tires' usable life. I said I thought they should have been replaced under the warranty because, if they were that worn, they were defective. He said the manager, John, was on vacation but I should talk to him when he comes in Tuesday. We drove away. This was after dark at this point, so we didn't look at the car. But when I drove the car the next day, the tire light suddenly went on, and we noticed that one rim was terribly scratched when it hadn't been before. So my thought is, they tried to take the tires off, messed up the rim, then thought of an excuse not to do the rotation. I'll be talking to John Tuesday to see about replacing the tires under the warranty and doing something about the rim. read more

There are certain areas of life in which a man is expected to reach near expert proficiency. Cutting down trees, growing beards, training falcons, and cars. I am only reasonably competent when it comes to cars so I am generally wary and uncomfortable when it comes to needing repairs, fluids, new parts, etc. My relationship with this Tires Plus originally started with my Dad who took cars there, and eventually I did the same. I have been coming here for years for my Ford Focus and my wife's Hyundai. Service I have received includes oil change, new tires, rotation, alignment, new brake pads, rotor stuff. Each time I call I am listened to by an associate and assured that the problem can be solved. I honestly don't know what's a good price to pay for car related stuff, but the charges seem reasonable so far. Oscar in particular is very helpful in explaining the work done, recommended repairs, and charges incurred. I expect to wait for every car place, so that did not factor in to my review. They are good about letting you know the status of your car and when it will be done. I even got the Tires Plus credit card to take advantage of special financing! read more

The guys at Tires Plus are always so nice and polite to me. They speak with such care and make me feel like they're explaining things to me like I'm a 6 year old, which is fine cause I don't know much about cars besides, wheels or is it tires, wipers and brakes, oh and oil change! When I first started driving, I used to use a big name repair shop for my non body shop repairs/maintenance. Their service was really bad and a few times I caught them trying to price gouge either myself or my Parents. Ever since I found out about Tires Plus, I have not thought twice about who to go to for this type of car work. This location in Palmetto Bay Has excellent training, and they are very knowledgeable. They also do not try to upsell you as often as some of the other locations (or at least it feels that way!) The rates are fare, and the manager is willing to work with you if the cost of your work order is too high or unaffordable in some cases. Recommend to anyone. read more

Yesterday i took my car to this location because its closest to where i live. One thing i liked about this place is the customer service and how clean it is, oscar helped me with what my car needed. Here is the problem: my car needed a new radiator because it was broke, and the amount of anti freeze liquid was leaking at a fast rate, but damn...378$ for a brand new radiator???!! I think in my opinion that is wayy too expensive. Now if it came with a tire pressure air refill, or other car maintenance services then OK. But for 1 service $378 ??? Sorry but this will be my last time going to this place. I'll take my chances at tire world auto care just across FIU. They charge the same but atleast they throw in air pressure refill for your tires and they check if any of your power steer/breaks need refill. All included in the price. read more

Why is it that I can't seem to find an auto shop that can do their job right the first time around. I came to this place because my mom had been telling me that its where she goes and she gets good service...either I am really unlucky, or she has no idea what she's talking about. I came in here because I needed a few things done to my car, namely an alignment, balancing, shocks and breaks. I spent quite a good deal of money to have all those services done. I came in around 2 in the afternoon to find out prices for all these services and told them I would come back on saturday when I had more time on my hands because I had to be somewhere at 5:30. They assured me that they would have me out of there before that and could take care of everything now. I let them start doing the work and of course it took them longer than 5:30 because they got the wrong parts and had to have others delivered...after they already started working on my car so now I had no choice but to wait. I didn't end up leaving there till about 6:30. Now thats bad enough, but to make matters worse...they didn't even do the work right. After leaving I realized that the breaks weren't bled so they were really loose and the alignment was actually worse then when I brought it in. I ended up having to come back on Saturday after all to have them fix the things that they should have done right in the first place. read more

I went here one time several months ago for 4 tires and thought I was doing my husband a favor since he already had so much on his plate. I'm embarrassed to say it but after my husband looked at the very long final bill, they charged me, over charged me, and sold me many thing I didn't need and they didn't even tell me they were doing or charging me for. The employees were extremely helpful. We were on vacation in Key Largo when my wife ran over a curb and popped the front truck tire. We use Tires Plus back home in Orlando and had just bought new tires a month before coming to the keys. We called this location after the tire popped and they replaced the tire for us, prorated the costs, so it was less than $30 for the new tire. A few months after my bad experience at the Tires Plus store in Country Walk, I decided to give this location a chance. I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation around noon on a Saturday and was told that it would take about 2 hours. Fine. I had plans to hang out and have lunch so I didn't mind not having my car for a couple of hours. Around 2:30 I called to let them know I was going to pick up my car, but they told me not to. My car wouldn't be ready until 3. Fine. At 3 I showed up and my car still wasn't ready. The only thing that was ready was the creep at the front desk hitting on me asking where I was going that afternoon. Twenty minutes later (thats an hour and 20 minutes after my car was promised) my car was finished. Seriously people, an oil change takes 10 minutes! I'm giving this location 3 stars because they did complete the work I asked for, unlike the other Tires Plus location I went to before. From now on, I'm sticking to Shell Rapid Lube. Shell, I'm so sorry I cheated on you. I will gladly pay the extra $10 for your speedy, professional service when I put another 3,000 miles on my car. read more

Terrible service and unprofessional people. I went in for a simple tire plug and they told me they couldn't because of some liability clause. They would only sell me a new tire. I went straight to Pep Boys and they patched it in 10 min. If your store specializes in tires, aren't you suppose to be able to do something simple like a patch or a plug? Made an appointment to get all new tires. The clerk, Raul, had everything set up for me and the check in process was fairly quick and easy. I wanted a certain tire that they didn't have in stock, but Raul was able to locate that tire at a near by Tires Plus. He also worked with me to get my tires and install down to the amount I had budgeted. He explained all of the charges and I didn't feel like there were any "hidden fees". Called during the week and got John who was very knowledgeable and helpful over the phone. When I called again over the weekend he told me my tires couldn't get delivered over the weekend. But I really needed tires and low and behold he was able to get them for me after all. It did take a while (almost 3 hours) but I'm confident in the work that was done (4 new tires and alignment) and the communication and service were great. Pls read ....What a nightmare!! I went in for an A/C check-up cause my a/c was blowing hot air. They pointed out all the hoses that needed "repairing". Then took me to the computer to give me a quote showing me all the parts they needed to order. Grand total............. $740.00.............. They offered a payment plan lol. After 2hrs of waiting on my car I took the quote & quickly got out of there. I called my extremely busy mechanic to squeeze me into his schedule that day. In less then 20mins my car was ready, one of my hoses needed tightening & some Freon. The hoses in my A/C were just fine. My a/c is now blowing very cool air. My son took my Toyota Prius C to get an oil change. He came home with the "car maintenance" message on the computer screen, my miles indicator to Kilometers and the new oil filter on the passenger seat. He was told that the tool to change the message on my screen was taken by another co-worker and that he will have to come back the next day to get it fixed. After being there for almost two hours!!! When I filed a complaint, the guy who did this said that the oil change in my car was too complicated for him. With that he expressed that he is clearly not qualified to do any oil changes. My car has had many oil changes and there has never been an issue. To this day I am still to be refunded for this mess and I am driving with kilometers on my tachometer and a maintenance warning on my screen. read more

An honest mechanic can be hard to find. Some people are at the mercy of the store they take their car to, and end up spending money on services they don't need. The Tires Plus on 157 and US1 is as solid as they come. The managers are knowledgable and helpful. They try to get you the best price. Print out the online coupons, bring them in, and sometimes they will give you an even BETTER price!!! I have had them do tires, AC work, transmission work, and oil changes. Beware of this place!!!I My sister took her car there a while back it was a 1996 honda accord. The care would start to shake at times. She took it there because it was close to her house. The gave her an estimate of $710 dollars. Their reason was that the car a lot of faulty sensors. She did not hesitate and had it serviced. Later that day she got the car back and again the same problem. I told her that sensors wont cause your car to start shaking and stalling. It was most likely bad spark plugs or fuel filter. She took it back and argued with them. They did not want to return her money because she authorized them to replace what was needed. So she had them replace the park plugs and fuel filter. Three days later again the same problem. I got around to take a look at the car. The spark plugs the installed were not OEM, specified by Honda, the were cheap $15-20 plugs you find at any parts store. I went to South Motors Honda parts department and purchased the plugs and cables for about $60 and fixed the car. I spoke to ASE Honda Mechanic an described the problem my sister was having with car. He told me that any mechanic worth his salt would have immediately known this was a spark plug or fuel system problem. Beware folks mechanic are shady people. read more
