I went to get my car after 2 hours and they had not even started the car yet! No apology. and what's this about not filling air in your tires anymore? If zero was possible, that's what they would get. I dropped off a tire (and rim) to be repaired. I was excited because I had the road hazard warranty on my tire so it should have been fixed for free. When I dropped it off, I let them know that I wouldn't be able to come back and get it for a week or so because I was going on vacation. Evidently, when I dropped it off, they failed to put it into their computer system. When I called back less than two weeks later, they said that they had no record of my tire and that it had likely been THROWN AWAY. The manager I spoke to basically told me that I was SOL and that it was not their problem that my property had been thrown away. They did not offer any resolution to the problem. I am extremely disappointted and will NEVER be visiting Tires Plus again. read more

I opened the air filter compartment and found about 50 walnuts and a filthy filter. They were very helpful, mentioned that they could tell I needed those swapped out, and had all the parts I needed in stock. Went for an Alignment for my bmw 535i they took about 3 hours to come back to tell me my control arm brushing was broken brought it to a another shop told them if there was anything wrong with the control arm brushing or the suspension and nothing was wrong with, it was in perfect condition made sure and also brought it to my personal mechanic which he has over 30 years of experience and told me the same thing that it's good don't know why they told me it was broken if they were doing it on purpose which is unbelievable because I'm a 17 year old luckily they can't fix German cars or say anything other thing about my engine which is expensive to fix parts on the engine be careful about this shop and prices are decent but wouldn't risk it read more

My quote was marked up. Initial quote was higher than their Brooklyn center location. Then they called me 2-3x to tell me that I needed more work each time and the price kept getting higher. I went in for a brake inspection because I had previous work done somewhere else and felt that the job was botched. I had new rotors and brakes put on. When I walked in I was quoted 196.00$ initially but by the time they finished their inspection between calling me 2-3x the price went to $1045.00. I was offered 10% off. I left with approving. Got home within 20 minutes my sister came by and said no they are alway higher than any other tires plus or mechanic shop. I called Firestone and was quoted $704 for all work and they were able to get my belt replaced for $125 additional. I did call them as quick as possible and asked that they wait on working on my vehicle The next day I called to see if they could put it back together and I'll have it towed from their property and they had already ready for me and put in a stud for free. No complaints about Firestone who is owned by the same company as Tires Plus. I have paperwork which I'll provide pics in the future. Too tired and have so many other reviews to post. To sum everything up, this location provides great service just be prepared to pay a little more than their own other locations or competitors. read more

I asked why they gave me that appointment time when that's what I asked to be done. He was very rude about it. Next day email response was that available? Called them and was told not available till Tuesday. What is the reason for choosing your own requested time if it is not available. Says it is open Sunday and I had between 7:00am till 4:00 pm something to choose what worked for me just to be told later in the week. read more

My car was leaking oil at an alarming rate last Tuesday so I pulled into the parking lot ASAP and walked over to the store. I asked Nate Price if they did engine work and he said they did but they did not have any time available until Thursday. I mentioned that my TPMS system was not working so he said if I brought the car over to the shop he could check the tire sensors for me. He found the bad sensor and then said the oil leak was worse that he thought and offer to put it on the hoist to take a look at it. Before I knew it the only mechanic on duty was looking at it with him. They told me that I should drive the vehicle until the leak was repaired. Nate wrote up a quote and told me the part was available from across the street. Five minutes later the part was there and they started working on my car! Way above and beyond if you ask me. Repair was completed adn I was able to drive it home that evening. Thank to both Nate and the mechanic that stayed late to repair my car. Great job!!!! read more

I went into the New Hope Tires Plus over a week ago, picked out the new tires for my Jeep and made an appointment to have the tires put on at 10am today. I showed up this morning at exactly 10am, only to have them tell me they don't have my tires in stock, but they might be able to order them and get them sometime today, otherwise I would have to come back another day. It's up to you if you want to go here, but I would suggest going anywhere other than the New Hope Tires Plus for tires. read more

I went to get a tire alignment and had set my appointment nearly a month ahead, well the day of my appointment they didn't even bother to call me to let me know that they would be unable to complete the alignment. Further more, when my car started shaking and I asked if they could check it they said they couldn't fit me in and said "it might make it home." Well my car did not and I nearly caused an accident due to my car shutting off mid-drive. DO NOT RECOMMEND, they should be making sure cars are safe on the road and prioritize safety. Rip-off job! I would stay far away from this Tires Plus. My wife had a flat tire on her car and I stopped in here to have it fixed while I grabbed some lunch. They called and informed me that they would not fix the flat tire because I had less than 4/32 tread wear left on the tires and it was their policy not to fix it. This is understandable as not having enough tread on your tires is a safety issue. They then informed me that they couldn't just replace the 2 front tires because I had an all-wheel drive car and would have to replace all 4 tires. Unfortunately, this was going to end up being fairly expensive and I was between jobs due to a layoff. Well, when you need tires you need tires right? So I said what do you have that's a good tire that's kind of affordable. They said they had 4 "Bridgestone Turanza EL400 RFT" tires for $643.96 for 4 tires in stock, otherwise they would have to order something and I couldn't get them put on today. This kind of put me in a spot since they wouldn't fix my flat tire and I was taking it out of town the next day. So I gave them the ok over the phone to put the tires in. While I was eating lunch I went to their website and compared different tires they sold and found that they sold me the 2nd most expensive set of tires they sell and that RFT stood for run-flat! (run-flat by the way also stands for NOT-REPAIRABLE!!!). So I called them back and said I would like to order the Firestone FR710 for $475.96 for 4 tires. They said it was too late and that they had already installed the Bridgestones. I figured what the hell, at least if my wife gets a flat she can make it someplace to get it fixed. Well that day came today, 7 months later, when my wife said she had a low tire and got it checked out when she was getting her oil changed. Turns out she had a nail in the tire. She called Tires Plus and they informed her that the tire was a run-flat (RFT) and as such it was not repairable. They also informed her that I didn't purchase their tire hazard insurance (which they didn't even offer me when I bought the tires) and then said she would need to replace all 4 tires because she has an all-wheel drive car and they can't just replace one tire. This is a huge scam! You might wonder if I even know what I'm talking about, but I spent 6 years working as a mechanic and I changed everything from car tires, semi-truck tires and tractor tires and I never once oversold a customer on tires, refused to repair a flat due to low tread or told a customer they had to buy 4 new tires when they got a flat. read more

Well, I paid for an inspection and they said I needed front and rear brake work done (calipers, rotors & pads). Which I thought was strange being I had had the rears done 2 years ago somewhere else. They said the tread was getting a little wear on the front tires. I ended having the brake work done elsewhere and: a. the front tires had dry rot and were completely cracked in multiple places (more than "just a little tread wear" b. the rear brakes were totally fine and not in need of any repairs c. I had asked them to call before performing any work while having the front tires replaced but they just went ahead and did the repairs without calling d. They said they would put the new tires on the rear but they put them on the front instead I've had decent service and customer service here previously but I've also had bad customer service here in the past (had a slow leak but was unsure of which tire it was...the tech acted miffed that I couldn't confirm which tire was leaking...umm, isn't that HIS job?) Does not inspire confidence...did they even DO a proper inspection? read more

I scheduled a tire replacement for this afternoon and everything went well and the job was completed within the quoted 40 minutes time frame. When I received the car and drove home I realized that the wrong tires were unfortunately replaced. I called the store immediately and Ron answered and apologized. I returned to the store and Ron stated he would fix the issue and apologized again. When asked if I was going to wait for the car to be worked on, I mentioned I was going to the pub down the street and Ron said he would cover my dinner tab in order to make the mistake up to me. After about 35 minutes, Ron called me to let me know my car was ready. When I returned, I thanked Ron for his incredible customer service and stated I was not going to make him pay for my dinner tab. I reiterated how grateful I was for his kindness and his intention to cover my meal. That kind of customer service will certainly make a customer for life and is rare to find. I made an appointment to have the tires put on, but when I came to pick up the car they said they were not able to get it done yet since one of their hoists failed. I needed to get back to work so I rescheduled for the next day. The service person said the installation cost would be on them. This was above and beyond. I didn't buy the tires there but they still did not charge me. The installation was great and I highly recommend them. read more

Bad service. Came in on a Saturday had a 4pm appointment needed a alignment, tire inspection due to my tire losing pressure and I needed a tire rotation. Paid for a lifetime alignment when I bought the tires a few months back, but staff had trouble pulling up my account and then being confused if I had the lifetime alignment service or not. After spending 20 mins looking for and going back and forth with them, I was able to search in my car to show them a receipt that I had paid extra for the alignment service. I reminded one of the guys to inspect the front tire for a possible leak and they told me my car will be ready in one hour. I came back in one hour and the car was parked in the front. Asked the same guy whether he inspected the tire and he said that all they did was an alignment and that the tire inspection was not included in the work order when I specifically saw him write it down. He offered to take the car back to inspect the tire and then told me it was a broken tire sensor that caused my tire to lose pressure and told me it was $10.50 to fix it which was not a big deal for me to pay, but after taking my payment another staff member comes out from the back and tells me it's just a nail in my tire that had to be pulled out. All in all I felt like there was a lack of trust in service and I had to wait an additional 45-50 minutes for them to have my car ready. Really did enjoy coming to this closer location, but I will going somewhere else next time. read more

NO NO NO I wouldn't go back to these crooks and thieves even if the service was free!! I used to live near this Tires Plus and am SO glade I noticed the Midas not to far down on the corner of Winnetka and bass lake rd. Service - At first it seemed fine went in to have a diagnostics check, up until the guy started to lie straight to my face and said "your transmission is not leaking" even though in my underground garage I constantly seen reddish pink liquid on the ground. They even told me I could get $500 for it if I just junk my car mind you its a 99 Pontiac grand am mind you I love my car so that's a NO. Next thing I know they can't figure out why its over heating for one, then they tell me that I have brand new breaks on the car already so I didn't need that, but now it started to grind on my passenger side which means I needed new brakes. They even over looked that one of my struts was rusted and one of the strut coils fell off! Then my car just started to shut down on itself and they couldn't figure that one out either, and when my car also had the it can't hold electricity and would shut down they couldn't figure that one out as well. How everything got fixed -Strut's did that myself ordered the part was not that hard to do -Over heating issue was just the reservoir tank for coolant -Electricity was the alternator not that expensive maybe a $30.00 part -Shut down was a came shaft problem A+ Auto noticed and fixed it real fast -Transmission fluid leak it took me 2 weeks trying to tell them that they needed to fix it first off second I kept getting hung up on so finally I had someone take it in and a mechanic there noticed a bolt that was sodded off and lodged inside the transmission tank and took 2 mechanics to fix it mind you before it went to Tire's plus I didn't have a transmission leak! Still made them fix it but then I still had to pay $245 for the fix! Worst place ever I will NEVER take ANY vehicle of any kind there, staff is rude the only good thing about this place is MAYBE ONE mechanic out of the whole bunch is actually trustworthy and honest. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to this place. BE CAUTIOUS! read more

My car had a leak in the tire, so I brought it here to be fixed. It was close to closing time on a Friday and since I couldn't drive the car the way it was, I was ok to leave it there to have them work it in when they could. I got a voicemail around 5:30 on Saturday that the car was ready to be picked up. I was not able to get there before close on Saturday, so planned on picking it up Sunday morning on my way to go to a Vikings game. When I got there, the tire was not fixed. I was livid. Not only was I told it was "ready to be picked up", but now my plans for the day were botched, but I made the changes I needed to in order to get my plans done. I called to talk to a manager about what happened on Monday. Not only was he incredibly apologetic, but he offered me "fix" that was beyond my expectations. I brought my car back and within an hour my car was drivable again. Although there was an issue in the beginning, they do right by their customers here and this is my new tire store. I had used these guys for an alignment on my all wheel drive suv. Charged me $90.00, fine. 4 months later, my tires were shot, and to fix the problem I spent $1200.00 plus a set of new tires $750.00. They cost me $2K. I found out they did not align the rear just the front, but charged me as if a 4x4 alignment. Stay Away!!!!! Not Happy!!!! 0 Stars!!!! read more
