I have been here a number of times since my last review and I struggle to understand the one star reviews, because that has not been my experience at all. In fact, when I am getting tired put on or oil changes, I am in the lobby for an hour or more and I hear the manager's interaction with customers. He is always respectful and he always seems to be trying to save him money, even though some of the repair repairs can be very expensive. I trust this location with my wife's car, my son's car, my daughter's car, and my car. A lot of the times I take it in myself just to make sure they take care of the things that I need taken care of, but there have been occasions where some of my kids have come in, and they have been treated with the upmost respect And they were never up charged. There is a Tires Plus location that is about a mile and a half from my house, much closer than the store, but I keep coming back here because the manager never oversells me, never tries to give me things that I don't need and always listens to what my concerns are. read more

If I could give zero I would. James Y the manager at this location was VERY rude and unprofessional. Had one tech working and a little girl(11 -12 years old) in the Bay Area the whole time while that one tech was working. 2 women don't know what to do. Calling every where for a tow and because my daughter's fiancé came and helped he had the police come to tell us we had to move the car. James is definitely not a helpful guy!!! Do better at this location! I'm pretty sure the way he talks to customers is what he does because the district management doesn't care. Smh! read more

Made an online appointment for 1:00 p.m. on December 26th got there at 12:30 and they told me my appointment was not for one that it was for 2:00 p.m. even though I had my confirmation email so they told me to come back we went out to lunch while they supposedly were working on the car came back an hour later and the car had not even been put in garage. They had taken a walk-in back first before taking the car with the appointment. If there was going to be such a delay they should have let us know but they said it wouldn't take that long hence making appointments read more

Here's how it went. Had my vehicle towed there, explained what was wrong. They started calling my husband and saying " should we start on this?" Long story short. They kept finding things wrong as they were dong repairs and instead of pricing us an overall estimate for EVERYTHING wrong, they charged us for what we thought was the issue based on THEIR "diagnostic" until they told us...we fixed your engine but your car won't go in reverse but you owe us $700 for what we did. I brought my car in to have it FULLY checked out before ANYTHING should have been done. Bottom line, calling customers as you go and then also stating AFTER ITS ALL SAID AND DONE THAT THE CAR WON'T GO IN REVERSE and then offering to fix that for more $ when you handled the entire thing poorly. We've been coming there for YEARS. After this, I will tell everyone who listens, this is poor business practices on their end and they are in the wrong. That's why you have a 2.3 rating on YELP. SO DISAPPOINTED and no drivable vehicle but I still had to pay you $700... A manager or someone should have worked with us. My car is undriveable and I'm down $700. Disgusted. read more

I got an oil change, they did honor their coupon, but it took two hours to get the oil change. I would say this shop is just so-so.

I brought my daughter's car in last week because it had overheated when she took it to work that morning. Tires Plus was just up the road from her work and I have an account with them from when I had my brakes done so I decided to have them take a look at it. It only took 10-15 minutes after getting it into the bay for them to tell me that the car had a blown gasket from driving it while it was hot. I was also told that because of the high mileage on the vehicle it wasn't worth rebuilding the head and that I needed to replace the entire engine. I could expect it to cost $3,000 - $4,000. I asked if they had checked anything else like the water pump to find out what was causing it to overheat in the first place. That's when he told me that I had to repair the engine before they could even check anything else because the blown head gasket kept them from being able to pressurize the system and check anything else. I was highly doubtful of the diagnosis because the car was running fine and no engine warning lights were on, it was just running hot. That's when I called a tow truck and had it taken to a mechanic that I know over in Jacksonville. He almost immediately found a cracked hose. So, what Tires Plus told me would take $3,000 - $4,000 to repair was fixed with one $30 hose and about an hour of labor. I waited this long to write the review because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and see if the cracked hose was really the only problem or if any other issues were going to develop that would prove them right about the engine. We have had NO issues with the car since the hose was replaced and the engine continues to run smoothly. The end result is that I feel as though they were trying to take advantage of the situation and now I can't trust them to give me an honest evaluation. I'm even doubting if the extensive brake work that I had done to my car was necessary. So, even though I have an account with Tires Plus it is extremely unlikely that I will ever go there again and I will definitely NEVER go to this particular location again. read more

I am very skeptical about visiting this location again. I've had numerous issues with them, including a tire rotation that resulted in 4 broken hub cap covers because of a horrible mechanic who didn't even bother to tell me what he did (he attempted to glue them back together). Also, I just recently had my alternator replaced by them and was initially having the same issues. They weren't very sympathetic when I took it back in just to be on the safe side. The guy at the counter said that it takes a while for the engine to readjust to the new alternator. I don't have experience with cars and did not know this. I think they could have handled my complaint better. read more

I honestly don't even think the Middleburg location deserves one star. I was not greeted politely and I don't care about the 15 other cars you have in there! I care about whether you can help me or not. Very rude. Will never go there again! Won't recommend either! read more

We had a flat late on a Saturday just outside of Jacksonville- Shannon and her team at the Orange Park location on Blanding were able to help us on a Sunday! They had us in and out within an hour with a new tire. We are truly thankful for your kindness and willingness to get us on our way. Thank you again! read more
