Isn't this the type of mechanic one needs to have, instead of not saying anything? I explicitly acknowledged that "While they didn't charge for the brake inspection itself, the overall experience left a bad taste in my mouth." I acknowledge the $0 charge on that specific line item. Caliper vs. Total Brake Cost: The owner claimed I said calipers were $900. I never said that. I stated the total brake repairs came out to over $900--which is accurate, as the front disc brakes ($842.24) and rear drum service ($132.00) totaled $974.24.
