I had a difficult time finding someone that was reasonably priced and open to test for asbestos and lead since we had a water damage (worst time ever during this quarantine). The wall and ceiling was wet and there was mold, so our contractor needed to test for asbestos and lead before they can cut it out. They wouldn't start without the test (just as I was afraid of, more people into the house and more money). I called some companies and one said they were closed until this covid-19 situation is over and one was charging a ridiculous amount because they said prices went up due to covid-19. I was referred to Titan by my realtor and they were open and reasonably priced compared to the other companies. The inspector showed up on time, was very nice and professional. He wore his industrial mask, gloves, safety glasses and shoe coverings when he did the testing. I appreciate their policy because I noticed other vendors that came in didn't even wear gloves. I recently used TITAN for a mold assessment at my house. My back patio room got a major leak from rain and there was a really foul odor in the room a couple days after it dried up. I called a restoration company who referred me over to TITAN to test the room for mold. I scheduled an appointment for them to come out the next day. They sent me the full mold report about 2 days after the testing, which was a little confusing to read at first. I got in touch with Neil from their office who walked me through the entire report and made sure everything was crystal clear to me before hanging up. I called Tony from Titan Environmental and within 1 hour of scheduling a in home consultation, I was greeted by a professional young technician named wilmar. He was professional, courteous, and explained everything that he was going to do. He collected samples and assured me that he will have test results after he returns the samples back to the lab. We recently had acoustic ceiling and drywall with joint compound that contained asbestos removed. Titan Environmental performed the asbestos clearance test. Initially the clearance failed due to visible debris. The abatement company had to come back to clean and we had Titan Environmental come back to perform a second test, to which it passed. When I first spoke with Tony (Friday), he was great to work with and very helpful on getting an inspector (John) to the property the following day. When the test failed and the abatement company came to clean (Sunday), Tony was able to find an inspector (Geoffrey) to come out that same day. Early Monday morning, we completed payment and I received the full report and receipt. Thank you to your prompt attention to our short timeline and completing the job smoothly. this is one of the most unapologetically unprofessional companies i've ever dealt with. because the only appointment available before i went out of town was at 8a + i work nights, i waited up an extra 4 hours for them to come. at nearly 8:40a they still had not shown up. when i called to find out why, the dispatcher, Richard, noted that they had me down for 8a but that the person dispatched would not arrive until 10a due to a mix-up on his end. then they asked if i could jump through hoops and take all of these other steps to give them access to my apartment. no way! based on how the nonchalant, unapologetic, + unprofessional the dispatcher was i definitely do not trust them now and they are not allowed in my apartment alone. moreover, the dispatcher had the audacity to try to retort by bringing up the fact that the last appointment was missed by me, which i had already explained was due to me being in the hospital unexpectedly. i'm currently waiting on Tony Lam to contact me + we'll see how or if he even tries to resolve the matter. wasting my time, not caring about it, + not attempting to provide suitable solutions is wholly unacceptable. UPDATE 16 FEB: ignore the comment below this review. i didn't resolve anything w| Tony. in fact he just made it worse. "nice talking on the phone as well?!" our phone call was terrible, be insulted me + kept throwing in my face, the irrelevant fact that i missed my first appointment due to being in the hospital as a way to excuse his company's no-call, no-show. it was the president of the company, Robert, who called me + finally provided professionalism. my conversation with HIM was nice. my conversation with Tony was worse than my conversation with Neil + Richard. they had abhorrent customer service. Robert was the gold standard of professionalism from whom Neil, Richard, + Tony all need to learn. moreover, the technician DID NOT ARRIVE AT 10a. They only do testing - charge too much for it. Was referred by ServiceMaster who was not clear on that. If you can, call a company that does the work also, might save money. There is a company called EnviroCheck where you can take samples yourself and much cheaper. read more

If a bunch of little kids did your mold testing, they would be more professional than these people. They were supposed to call me to set up a time to test and they didn't. It took me multiple calls to get something set up and every single time that I called they were so disorganized that I truly wondered why my management company would choose such clowns to do testing. Each time they transferred me to talk to someone, I had to give my address again. At one point they asked me for the number of the management company that hired them. I hoped that they would be more organized when it came to the actual testing but they weren't. They took a long time with the test results. If I had known they would have waited until closing time I really would have gone with another company. At one point they wanted to tell me the next day when the construction people (who will rebuild the walls) were supposed to come and didn't seem at all bothered that I would be canceling on the construction people at the very last minute if the mold clearance test didn't come out negative. Luckily I ended up canceling on the construction people at 5 pm the night before instead of on the same morning of the construction. I really felt like I was doing their job, making all the phone calls, making sure things were on track. Hire someone else. read more

I wish I could give Titan 10 stars for their business. I have dealt with them once and was without a fail because the team of inspectors have exceeded great expectations. Story time - I guess we recently had a storm and some area of the roof came crashing down and water just poured into our office. My coworker and I did some Yelp research and since Titan was nearby, why not? But nooooo, one of the other co workers called some other company ... so we had a little competition...whoever gets here first or cheaper, wins! So, the boss called, got a quote, and next thing you know, someone is already on his way to save the day. And guess which company was it?? Titan! Ding ding ding....we won a dry shirt. If only we had our roof checked out before...I wouldn't have looked like a drenched mess that day...thanks a lot (cant name our company just in case my boss reads this and attacks me after...but Im pretty sure he knows haha) Anyway, the guy came and did his inspection, scribbled his notes, and helped with the water damage control. Staffs- I have dealt with a few members on the team as well and they are undoubtedly, the very best of his field. The Titan team is extremely professional, knowledgeable (able to answer all of our questions), responsive (got here in the ran for us), and are fun to work with. They can be serious but they can joke around as if we knew each other since grade school. That is what I like about their business. Why so serious?..and look mean all the time? Price- I think it is a little pricey, but it is worth it. You either not spend money and get attacked by the mold monster or have the roof collapse on you...or spend a little to spare you the trouble?I don't know about you but I dont want to go that way....lol. I called them because I need an asbestos test. They told me they would have a salesperson call me back for the type of test I needed. I told them to please write down on their note to call me back as soon as possible because I really needed the test for a demolition I was doing. Needless to say, I can't comment on their actual services, but just their customer service. Luckily, I found another company to do the testing. My home was severely water damaged due to a faulty construction roof repair job. I was referred to Titan by a good friend of mine who has used their services as well. Needless to say, I spoke with Tony from Titan and he provided amazing service. Tony happened to be near the area and came out personally to meet with me and talk me through the process of water removal and restoration. He was very thorough with his explanations and answered all my questions on the spot. On the same day, he was able to schedule a technician to come out to take samples for testing and referred me to a water restoration company to clean up the mess. I was able to see my results a couple days after and was pleased with their service. BEWARE! This company is a fraud. I had a small leak coming From the ceiling and had a plumber come out, and repair it. When I expressed to the plumber that I was not sure how long the leak had been dripping down the wall due to not going downstairs everyday he called out a company to price the restoration. That company came out and after assessing said they would send an estimate that evening but another company, titan environmental solutions showed up that I did not call and after introductions,said they could do the testing if I needed it. I specifically said maybe mold is an issue so maybe a mold test but not sure if I need it. He quickly filled out a contract and said if you like we can come back out when the restoration co opens up the walls. I agreed and initialed the form, knowing I would read over that evening. When he handed me a copy, I noticed he checked off asbestos and lead based paint. I quickly told him that I do not need those two testing my downstairs was completely remodeled a few years prior, removing all lead and any asbestos. His response was the test are an all in one. After researching that evening, I was told by more than one other mild company, mold takes more than a few days to form and is probably not needed.. I later called a company out to ask the process and consult. Bottom line, I did not have the restoration co open the walls and titan was not called back out to take a sample after being told I would need to get a contractor to do the drywall and baseboard repairs as they do not do them considering my remodeling plans later in the year. Their position was, your insurance paid you for testing so you need to pay us. In addition, buried in the contract is wording regarding waiving your right to have any hearings anywhere other than the Orange County court. I live in Pasadena! Sure enough they filed a small claims action. The calendar was filled with Titan environmental cases so this appears to be their regular practice. It is a long haul and I'm sure many people just pay to avoid the drive but I'm disgusted with them and the construction co at large for the dirty tactics so many use. BTW the restoration co picked up their industrial fans and did not charge me a thing. I had the unfortunate luck of finding out I have a water leak in my bathroom during a pandemic as well as while I am pregnant. I contacted Tony and Titan Environmental from a recommendation from another contractor. Under much time constraint to get my bathrooms remodel and fixing the leak, Tony came out and finished everything in a couple days for us so the plumber and restoration team could start their work. And when I say time constraint, I mean I am going to be having a baby in less than 6 weeks and the remodel is supposedly 5 weeks of work, so time is of the essence here! I had a slab leak and since my home was built before 1978, I had to have an Asbestos and Lead test performed in the areas that they would be working. Titan was able to come out next day and since my water was off due to the leak, they were able to provide same day results. After the samples were taken in my home, they went directly to the lab for analysis. I think I got lucky that their schedule was flexible enough to service my home in the morning. After they did supposed samples they got scared of the insurance company because the insurance company did not believe u could take samples of a roasted to the ground home.
