The technician opened the P‑trap, confirmed it was clear (which I already knew and can do myself), and advised me to pour bleach down the drain, something I had already done multiple times. Before leaving, he told me the work was covered by a 60‑day guarantee and to call if the smell returned. Two weeks later, the smell came back. I submitted another request, and Ace Mechanical returned. Again, they said the P‑trap was clean. Only after some pressure did they agree to snake the line. The bathroom drain connects to the same pipe as the kitchen sink, and they told me they pulled out hair and grease. As they were getting ready to leave, I went to wash a dish and immediately noticed my kitchen sink was now backing up, something that was not happening before they started working. I stopped the technicians before they left, and they came back inside only to tell me they could not fix it and that I needed to call my insurance company. They even tried to blame my garbage disposal, despite the fact that everything was draining perfectly before they touched the line. Now, when I run the bathroom sink, water backs up into the kitchen sink. After they left, Ace Mechanical never reached out to me again. I ended up calling them myself, and after multiple attempts to get through, the agent told me a dispatcher would call me back. That call never came. It became clear they were ignoring the request entirely. HomeServe sent a different plumbing company to fix the backup that Ace Mechanical caused. Once my bathroom sink was usable again, I discovered water dripping into my kitchen ceiling. It turns out Ace Mechanical had actually broken the drain pipe with their snake and caused even more damage. I now have holes in my kitchen ceiling and need to deal with remediation because of

Mike's employee, Julian, showed up right at the scheduled time of 8 am and was wearing a mask, which I appreciate. Julian was friendly, polite, organized, and efficient. A Middlesex Water representative came out right away, to assist and let us know what he saw. That night, there was a new issue with a different bathroom that may have been related to the work they were doing. I called up, sent them a video and they came back today and fixed it. She was prepping and suddenly there was a water leak in the kitchen coming from the cabinets and it had even run down into the basement from the ceiling above that area. After contacting multiple plumbers and getting exactly what you'd expect on Thanksgiving Eve, no answer or we'll get to you Friday/Saturday. Michael responded just before 10pm and by 11:03pm he was at our house assessing the situation, and got right to work. He managed to have the perfect balance of work and getting things done and making great conversation. Even when I would walk away to not hover, he just liked having a good convo while working. When I started to fade from the time, he never slowed down, he stayed alert, positive, & friendly the entire time. He worked until just before 4am to repair the problem and get us back on course to host Thanksgiving. After he cleaned up the area, took out trash, removed debris and never wavered due to the hour. It's worth noting that he ran a vacuum hose while cutting, removing insulation, & any other time he would generate dust particles so that it wouldn't get all over. He actually left the area cleaner than when he started with the meticulous way he cleaned. 10/10 kinda guy & service!

Aside from significant damage to our finished basement flooring and a wall that had to be knocked down, we were scrambling to get our water heater tank replaced. 1800 Heaters was recommended by Home Depot. They were able to come immediately with a new tank and a quote was given over the phone. We were given a window of 11-3pm. Felix came to our house at 12pm and went right to work. First thing I noticed was how young he was, like my son's age. I'm like, does he know what's he's doing? I was surprised that it would be just him doing the entire job. Let me tell you, you will be in excellent, competent hands if you get FELIX!!! He was friendly, personable and professional with an upbeat attitude. He did a beautiful job installing our new water tank. There were no hiccups given how tight the space was. We also never had a contractor reduce the actual price given. Felix said one of the gas pipe did not need to be replaced. We got a couple of hundreds knocked off. Thank you for being so honest with us. At some point before the technician left my house he broke the window pane in my son's bedroom (the hot water heater is located in a closet). He never said a word to me about it but placed the broken pane on the floor behind a portable AC to the left of the window itself. I called 1800HEATERS immediately after the technician left and I discovered the broken glass. I was told that a customer service manager would call me on Monday morning. No one ever called. I called at 1pm and spoke with Eddie who would not provide me with his last name. He was quite rude and implied that it wasn't broken during my installation because I "didn't hear it break". He then told me that he was submitting the information and that I would have a resolution by the end of business day. Again, no phone call was received. I called back the following morning and was told that the manager would call me when he arrived at 10am. He called and was again extremely rude and condescending. He informed me that a damage claim was already filed with Home Depot (which turned out to be another lie) and that there was nothing else he could do for me. When I asked who I should contact at Home Depot or what department he told me that he had no idea who I should call and didn't provide me with any further information. I would NEVER use this company again and recommend others to stay far away!
