The technician opened the P‑trap, confirmed it was clear (which I already knew and can do myself), and advised me to pour bleach down the drain, something I had already done multiple times. Before leaving, he told me the work was covered by a 60‑day guarantee and to call if the smell returned. Two weeks later, the smell came back. I submitted another request, and Ace Mechanical returned. Again, they said the P‑trap was clean. Only after some pressure did they agree to snake the line. The bathroom drain connects to the same pipe as the kitchen sink, and they told me they pulled out hair and grease. As they were getting ready to leave, I went to wash a dish and immediately noticed my kitchen sink was now backing up, something that was not happening before they started working. I stopped the technicians before they left, and they came back inside only to tell me they could not fix it and that I needed to call my insurance company. They even tried to blame my garbage disposal, despite the fact that everything was draining perfectly before they touched the line. Now, when I run the bathroom sink, water backs up into the kitchen sink. After they left, Ace Mechanical never reached out to me again. I ended up calling them myself, and after multiple attempts to get through, the agent told me a dispatcher would call me back. That call never came. It became clear they were ignoring the request entirely. HomeServe sent a different plumbing company to fix the backup that Ace Mechanical caused. Once my bathroom sink was usable again, I discovered water dripping into my kitchen ceiling.
