Can you see how dirty it is (zoom in if not)

Drove out here because of the great reviews from before but I agree more with the more recent review that gave one star... OMG the employees are so rude and grumpy here! This is midday on a Wednesday when it was NOT busy... I can only imagine how much worse it is when it is busier. All the ladies behind the counter looked like they just ate something very sour and act stuck up like they are so much better than you. I get that this is PV but we are still at a TJ Maxx... Anyway it does not pass the vibe check at all. First off, the selection is not great compared to other locations. Luggage section is smaller. Beauty section is better elsewhere too. Haircare selection is decent but the makeup is terrible. Clothes seem the same as elsewhere; same with home decor. Shoes and toys are not great at all. But jewelry... UGH. Let me tell you about jewelry. Came here because I heard that new Disney x BaubleBar jewelry has been out at other locations earlier this week. I only saw one piece displayed out so I asked if there was more. She told me there was a box she just opened and was in the middle of setting it out. Asked me to wait. So I did while she helped someone else but it took a while so she asked me to come back after shopping. So I did. After checking out all the sections I listed above (lol). She was in the middle of unpacking the box when I said hi again. She said someone else beat me to it and already took a few pieces... okay. So she opens these pieces that are supposedly brand new, gives me like two seconds to look over each one before pressuring me about whether I'm gonna buy it or not. So I was considering actually purchasing each design out there, except four items were the same exact design. Not sure what gave her the impression that I wanted four of each, but of course I said no lol. And the items were NOT brand new (to TJ Maxx like she said) because she showed me a necklace that I had purchased at another TJ Maxx months ago. So maybe what happened is an employee told a customer (who wrote a previous review) that this location has first dibs on items and basically lied. Anyway. Because I'm a frequent TJ Maxx shopper, I know that her behavior today was very strange. She pressured me to pay for all of my items (plus all of the jewelry) right there and then. I told her I wasn't ready to check out yet and wanted to show my kid the necklace to see which one she liked. Her snarky response to this was "well these are new and haven't hit the floor yet so I can't really let you walk around with it." Since I didn't want to pay right then and there, she brought everything to the front. Mind you she grabbed my other items too that were definitely already on the floor. I told her I didn't know this was a thing since I've had the same thing happen at other TJ Maxx stores but of course I didn't want to argue so I let her take it all. And yes, the "new" items all had price tags and everything already. The only thing keeping them from the floor was her taking an hour to display them two feet away. Picked up a few more items for my kid, the dog, and definitely ended up spending more than the service we got called for. At the front they had some trouble locating the items that the lady took. Hence, the sour looks I described at the beginning of this review. Sheesh, the ATTITUDE. Such unnecessary attitude. TL;DR: Go to the TJ Maxx in Redondo instead! They are so much nicer there. Also a lot of their items here are DIRTY. Like even the inside of the packaging of stuff along the checkout line (which customers can't open right there because of the location and the line moving) soo it's probably those mean employees touching them. YUCK.

All of my favorites found at THIS ONE LOCATION! So glad I didn't have to hit several locations...

To all of my bargain shoppers: we all know that not all TJ Maxx and Marshall's stores are created equal. Some are just far more superior than others, and this TJ Maxx is the cream of the crop. I bet you that this location gets first picks of everything. You can tell. I've been chasing Esfolio foot masks and hand masks as well as Dermapeutics Hyaluronic Acid facial mists, and recently, a lot of TJ Maxx and Marshall's locations have been failing me...but not this one. I was in a hurry to get in and out, so I'm coming back here, but just know that this location is LOADED WITH INVENTORY. LOADED. Next time I come back, I won't be in a rush. Your next trip should be here.

I'm actually surprised that I'm giving a TJ Maxx five stars, but this location deserves it. It reminds me of the one in Vegas. It's fully stocked with some really nice items for men, women, and children. They have purses, gym bags, super nice luggage (which is what I went in for), jewelry and watches, gym clothes, dishes, pots and pans, etc. I truly believe that location is everything for a store. This one carries a really good selection of items. They had a lot of name brand items, as well, like Michael Kors purses, Bebe Luggage, Betsy Johnson, etc. Prices are a bit higher here for some of the items, but when you look at the selection, you understand why. I was prepared to drive to the only one that I knew of, which was in Redondo Beach, but I checked Yelp and found this one, which was 10-15 minutes from my house. There's plenty of parking, but it can get really full in that shopping center, because there are so many stores around, including a grocery store. It's a really nice store, though. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was definitely clean and organized, which is almost unheard of with these kinds of stores.

Dear TJ Maxx, I hate to shop for clothes. Absolutely, positively hate it. I hate it like I hate the Lakers, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Yankees. I hate it like I hate off days during the baseball season. The thought of shopping for clothes makes me want to vomit blood. Yeah, its like that. My love for clothes shopping emerges when I see you. You light up my life. You take away the venom in my heart and replace it with love and lust. That growth in my crotch area rapidly appears when I see that bright red sign and that extra 'X' at the end of your name. Sexy. Oh yeah sweetie, you are hot stuff. Sorry for making the mistake of referring to you the first time we met as BJ Maxx. The things you do for my body are priceless. I am able to look good for the ladies at work and increase my chances for promotion. I am able to run at night in your clothing and feel like there no limit to what I can do. With much love and devotion, Carlos PS......Seeing that you are next door to Pinkberry, can you have a large sized plain yogurt with kiwi ready for me when I enter??? Nothing gets me more hot then free yogurt.

I didn't even check-in because I didn't want anyone to know. However, upon thinking it over, I don't give a rat's ass. I earned all my wrinkles from a lifetime of hard partying, dammit, & it was great. And I ain't done yet. Anyway, Chico's was the first store I passed when leaving the parking structure. Yesterday, Monday, it was packed with ladies. So I went in to see what was going on. A sale. Big sale. 30% off the stuff already reduced for end-of-season. I was immediately greeted by Daisy, to whom I confessed I'd never before stepped into any Chico's. She explained their method of sizes: 0, 1, 1.5, 2, etc. 1.5 is equivalent to 10-12, I think, can't remember. 1 is 8-10 (?). Turns out I'm a size 1, according to Chico's. I've never been a size one in my life, so that made my day. I found a pair of shorts *cough*size ONE*cough* hugely on sale, that fit perfectly. I tried on a couple other things in my own personalized dressing room. Yeah, they wrote "Joan" on a little chalkboard on my dressing room door. Wow. So now I was a size 1 & I had my own fitting room. Life is good. Service was GREAT. Nobody was pushy but definitely attentive. Friendly & professional. My super-cheap shorts were carefully wrapped in tissue & placed in a Chico's handle-bag adorned with a red ribbon. Did I mention I got into a conversation about art with a couple of the sales associates? Dang it, I had fun. Life is fun when you're a size ONE, bitches.

She made me feel very uncomfortable and I will be contacting Chicos headquarters. Here is what I witnessed: These two middle eastern women were shopping (I think they were speaking Farsi/Persian) and one was trying on clothes in the changing room. As she was trying on each article of clothing, she was placing them over the top of the changing room door. (Keep in mind, these changing rooms are extremely small). The manager frantically approached this customer and said "You can't just throw the clothes over the door! They'll get dusty!" Taken aback, the customer replied: "The store gets cleaned, doesn't it?" And the manager said "Not up there!!!" She then turned around and muttered to herself (very loudly): "NO ONE ELSE DOES THESE TYPES OF THINGS. NO ONE." I could see the two women were very uncomfortable after being scolded by the manager about this and did not linger in the store much longer. They did not they buy any of the many items they had tried on. I don't blame them one bit, because I left quickly after too. My housekeeper always cleans the top of my doors at my house. Does Chicos not have the same standards of cleanliness? The manager basically announced to the whole store that they do not. To embarrass and scold a customer for something so unimportant is NOT OK. If anything, the manager should be contacting the store's CLEANING TEAM and letting them know that the changing rooms are dusty and dirty. Gross! I know this manager is capable of being polite, as another customer came in and she greeted them VERY warmly, as though they were friends. She gave these other two middle eastern woman the cold shoulder, however, and did not attempt to help them in any customer-friendly way. I was extremely disturbed to witness this. I wish I had gone back there and told that saleswoman what a rude person she is. This incident felt xenophobic to me, as they were speaking a foreign language, and this woman never appeared friendly to them at any point during their visit. Very "mean girl" energy. I will be contacting Chicos headquarters about this and reporting this incident. I was bystander, but it made me feel incredibly icky. I regret not comforting those women. I will also never be shopping at this particular Chicos again.
