Well let me tell you then he is just incompetent. After escrow closed, I found that one of the picture Windows was ready to fall out because there was no seal any more around it. Any one who knew what they were doing should have seen there was no seal. Other windows also needed to be replaced. It was stated that the gutters were inspected but in fact they were plugged with some type of a screen backing them up with leaves. Apparently there is a leak somewhere because the home is using 250 gallons of water a day sitting vacant. There's also damage in the master bathroom to the door frame at the floor. It looks like the showerhead not drained correctly causing the water damage. Hi, I'm still unable to occupy the home after five weeks due to all the necessary repairs that need to be made I had asked him to come over and look at what had been missed. When I asked him why it wasn't put on the inspection, he just shrugged his shoulders with a blank look on his face. So if you're looking for a good home, inspector find someone other than country home inspection.

Based on the sound and location, I was convinced there was a rodent trapped somewhere in the vent ducting or microwave housing. Matt helped me uninstall the microwave and take it outside so we could carefully investigate what was going on. Throughout the entire process, Matt was upbeat, collaborative, and delightfully easy to work with. One thing I especially appreciated was Matt's friendly and humorous demeanor during the troubleshooting process. When we opened things up and failed to find any droppings or evidence of a rodent, he mentioned that he was beginning to wonder if something else could explain the scratching noise that I heard, which turned out to be exactly right. After partially disassembling the microwave outside, we discovered that the "rodent" was actually a large Longhorn beetle inside the microwave housing making scratching noises that sounded a lot like a rodent. What could have been a stressful and frustrating experience turned into something unexpectedly funny thanks to Matt's calm demeanor, good humor, and collaborative spirit. Over the next two years, we hired two different companies to perform full removal programs. Both claimed they had fully inspected the crawl space and eliminated all entry points. Unfortunately, when the rats came back, neither company honored their warranties. We then hired 3 Step Rodent Proofing. During their inspection of the crawl space, they found and documented with photos all of the entry points they identified and sealed. In addition, the service technician discovered a water leak and showed us exactly where it was located. We would have never known about this leak without the photos he provided. We were shocked that the previous two companies never mentioned the leak, which turned out to be caused by a bad water pipe connection from the previous owners' remodel. After the work performed by 3 Step Rodent Proofing, the crawl space was rat-free. We did not see another dropping around the vents. About a year later, my wife thought she heard noises under the house. I was pretty sure the sound was coming from our HVAC system, but decided it was better to be safe than sorry. I contacted 3 Step Rodent Proofing, and they had a technician out within the week to evaluate the situation. They performed a thorough inspection of the crawl space and the house and found no signs of rats. They also told me to call them back if we saw any droppings or heard any new noises. Based on our experience, they were the only company we worked with that was thorough, documented their work, stood behind it, and remained responsive after the job was completed.

While others were positive I was seeing a wingless subterranean termite, they identified the insect as harmless. Since I am nonetheless nervous about termites, I decided to take advantage of their free inspections, which is typical of the industry I believe. And a good thing. About a week later and just a couple days before they were to come over, there was a big deposit of Frasse in our bedroom. I took a picture and posed the question to Gemini and Meta AI, which both identified it as from dry wood termites. When Robert came, he did the same. Robert explained the immigration details well. Kept in touch. Fumigator who put tent on also was communicative. Does not appear that I received a call in advance from person who took tent off. Would have liked that. Overall, I am happy with the results so far. Well, at least I feel like they did the work and I am hopeful that I will not see any termite Frasse in the next three years, which is their guarantee. I would use them again for a fumigation.

He offered practical solutions like chicken wire and expanding spray foam (typically used for insulation). He asked me if neighbors were setting out poison because he saw several dead critters in my crawl space. It turns out, a week later I did see a poison trap set up a few houses away from me. His down to earth approach on problem solving resonated with me. There's no black and white answer when you have rodents. Ryan was very patient and made sure I understood all of the options. It's been a month since he came out. Since then, I caught one mouse, sealed up the obvious spots around the house, and haven't seen any new activity. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This was an exceptional process and it relieves a great deal of stress for me. I texted Todd yesterday and got a call within an hour and he came today, located and sealed up all entry places and set traps to deal with the rats themselves. I had to tell him where to put them because he seemed to have no clue. He knew I had a dog and he wanted to put these things where the dog could put his nose in . He put one outside near the lemon tree where the rats were eating the fruit but again, he put it on the ground. I had to empty the trap that caught the rodent. I put it in a plastic bag in the trashcan, which I asked the technician to take. He . He only came back once to recheck the traps. I finally had to call and tell them in a bag and left them by the gate for him to pick up. It took two days for him to do that. They did catch the rat after I did half of the work.
