I went to the store to get ice cream for my family waiting in the car. I told the guy the first order was a 2-scoop cone he went to hand it to me and he had cupped the top of the cone with his hand and was putting the ice cream into his hand, He had to peal his hand off the scoops of ice cream. Then I told him I was not buying that your hand was all over it, and he replied, " I have a glove on. I put it on the counter and he started getting nasty. Not surprising he already had a bad attitude when I came into the store. Also, he was using a latex glove and had that glove all over it. When someone makes a sandwich they use food food-approved glove and keep the handling to a minimum. I turned to walk out and he started cursing and when I cleared the doors he through something. Today was my first time in this place, because I only know a few establishments in this town since I moved to live here permanently in September 2022. From the employee who greets you with a "Good morning and happy Monday", to the one who prepares the sandwiches, you are received very kindly and with a smile, which makes you feel at home. The place looks very clean and tidy, and the sandwiches we ordered, along with the pasta salad, were delicious. The only detail that caught our attention is the very strong smell of burnt oil, apart from that detail, I recommend the place. Wasn't real impressed...first, my bread was stale and the sandwich with extra mayo had nearly none. It was pretty much tasteless. My son said his meatball sub was not good either. One of my favorite sandwich spots in the area! They have a pressed Cuban wrap that is really good and just about the only thing I ever get, it's too good to pass up. They serve beer and have a convenient little walk up window to order and get your food from. Plenty of outside seating as well. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. i do not know how it has any good reviews. First visit the sandwich meat was all chunky and nasty. second visit the cuban had almost no meat on it. had zero siced pork on half of it and had almost no ham on the rest. this was made by the OWNER of the store. tried to get a refund and he refuses saying "thats how i make sandwiches". how does one FAIL so hard on making something so simple. This is the first real deli I've visited since I started to work in the area. They are always busy, a testament to their delicious sandwiches. Oh, what sandwiches they are. You have to wait in line, but that is because each sandwich is made with Boar's Head and sliced per order. Homemade potato or macaroni salads as well. Everything is fantastic. Orders are taken and filled promptly. Average wait is about 10 minutes for carry out. It's a deli, what do you expect? I haven't had any ice cream yet, but I will when it starts warming up outside! read more

Terrible service and attitude. Walked in with the family for all four of us to get ice cream and they dude was like sorry we are closed. It wasn't even closing time but he had this lame excuse that the owner told him just to close up. We told him to call the owner and tell them he had four paying customers in front of him, ready to spend money, and did they really want to turn them away? He said again, we are closed. So, I've been here awhile ago for ice cream which was great. I've return to try the Courthouse Club. This club has Boars Head turkey, honey ham, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and may on a toasted bread lid. This is a REAL sandwich. I also had the potato salad, which was a bit disappointing. I really love potato salad, but this potato salad was flavorless. There were big chunks of onion, which was tolerable, I just can't believe how there was no taste. No taste at all. The potato salad is the only complaint I have. I will certainly come back and try the Italian! read more

The sandwich I had order was a Cuban with potato salad, this was no where a Cuban the meat was not pork it was ham and salami with Swiss cheese press and the potato salad average in a cup that past small size, the meal cost 9 dollars it is not worth it. There not many places to choose from since Dade is small. Would not recommend this place. The rating is zero ,but I have to rate it to post the review. read more

We found this little gem after visiting Dade City Wild Things. We were hot and wanted some ice cream. We yelped and the nearest place was about 8 miles away. But, right down the street was TJ's. Excellent little sandwich shop. I got the Dade City Hero which came with roast beef, ham, and turkey piled high on a really tasty hogie bun. The boars head brand meat was a plus. It had the perfect amount of mayo unlike same places that get carried away. I would happily go back their again, especially to try the ice cream. I was originally going to give the place four stars but i couldn't think of any reason to withhold the fifth star. So five stars it is. Great little place. read more

No frozen yogurt, but very generous servings of ice cream. They have Edy's Ice Cream plus soft serve ice machine. The day we visited the soft serve flavor was orange. My wife and I both had the one scoop cups and each serving was more like three scoops. Would definitely return. read more

Today was the second time I've visited this place and was disappointed both times. The first time i got a milkshake. It was so thin, i felt like i was drinking chocolate milk as opposed to a thick milkshake. I thought maybe it was just a fluke because I'd heard such good things about this place. Today I ordered a sandwich and a kids meal. The total was $16. When the food came I was quite disappointed in the quality for $16. I ordered the courthouse club which was ok. It was on white bread which was just ok. I got macaroni salad to go with it. It should have been called mushroom salad. Never had macaroni salad quite like that before. Had i known there were mushrooms in it, i probably wouldn't have ordered. My son originally wanted a hot dog but they were out so he got a grilled cheese. It was a decent sized sandwich for my toddler. I got a Diet Coke from the fountain and it was flat and tasteless. They let me get a can of Diet Coke to replace the gross fountain drink. We were going to get ice cream but after receiving the mediocre food for $16 we decided to go get ice cream elsewhere. Plus, the soft serve was out of order. Probably won't be returning. I was excited to try it for a second time because of the reviews but they are pretty old so maybe things have changed. read more
