I eat here all the time with my friends as there's something on the menu for everyone. As an experienced consumer of Thai food, their menu is solid, but not special. They definitely tone down the spiciness. I ordered my meal with 'hot' spicing, and was warned repeatedly that this was "very spicy." After reassuring them that I would be fine I was disappointed to find that the spicing was closer to what I'd consider 'medium' at most places. They also offer a 'no spice' option, which is quite popular with the locals. Staff is polite and efficient, and the dining room is clean and is designed to look "Thai." Best Thai food I've ever had. I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point, and it has all been consistently outstanding. I would highly recommend the Chicken Volcano, peanut noodles, Massamun and curry fried rice. Service is usually pretty good. I had food from here for the 1st time the other night and had the Kow Pad Chicken Fried Rice. It was super delicious and this was only my second time ever eating fried rice. I love the fresh rolls as an appetizer. The pad Thai is really great. It's my husbands favorite place to get gang gui (sp?) chicken. (Coconut curry sauce over chicken). My little guy likes the broccoli cheese noodles (I did too). I also like the peanut noodles with fried tofu. Yummy! Great Thai tea and bubble drinks. This place was on point! The food was great, and as always, the baby I am got mild spicy. I ordered the Pineapple Noodle and my beautiful date ordered the Pad Thai. She got medium spicy and handled it like a champ. As always, ordered Thai Tea, because that stuff makes the kick go away. The waitress was super friendly and checked on us lots, which is good. I kinda felt bad that we didn't need anything. The location is great and close to the parking garage behind Trader Joes. I will definitely go back to this place. I went with the sizzling eggplant with chicken and beef. The dish was slathered in a thick spicy brown sauce, which provided a perfect backdrop for the healthy slices of eggplant. For the family looking for value, the kids cheesy noodles and chicken fried rice were healthy helpings at a very reasonable price. Big variety of Asian dishes. General most Asian fusion restaurants are pretty weak at doing more than Americanized Chinese, that is not the case here. Good Chinese and Thai dishes as well as some tasty sushi. I highly recommend giving them a chance, their satay is delicious and the avocado delight is a-maz-balls! read more

Reliable sushi by east side standards, great cooked food, but recently the staff seems to have become slow. I also wish they'd have a better sake list, but that's obviously a small thing. As I write this, I am waiting for a carryout for 40 minutes and thinking of canceling the order. Hopefully the staff will get back on track and we'll go back to being regulars. read more

We lived in the neighborhood for years and ate here once a week. If the sweet owner, Mrs. Nalee Yang, stops by your table, get to know her because she will remember you and your family. We have our standby orders that they know: my kid and I split the BOAT for lunch (sashimi, California Roll, chicken teriyaki, tempura, pickled cucumber, and salad), all in a big bento the shape of a boat that they only serve at lunch. Other dishes for lunch or dinner or take-out: #1) Masaman Curry. So rich with coconut milk and real peanut; I get it with beef, chicken, or tofu. #2) Noodles - Pad Thai, Pad See-Ew, or Voon-Sen. I like their Spider Roll too when we take guests. It's the only place around where you can get Boba Tea or slush and homemade Coconut Ice Cream. read more

I want to commend TN Thai Bistro in Grosse Point for an excellent dinner. First, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and were promptly seated in the dining room. We were having my birthday dinner, and my wife and I had our 14 month old son and my father in law with us. After we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our waiter, who offered drinks as usual, but then offered to get food out right away for our son because he apparently knew about kids waiting for food. When he took our dinner order, he offered us the special which he described in detail, and was very attentive to our order, making sure to vet it for possible allergy problems, Which fortunately we don't have. Our food was delivered after our son ate. The Rangoon was perfectly cooked and the sushi was wonderful. We will come back because this place is picking up its game. read more

I was a first time customer this weekend. I was craving thai food and boy am I glad I came here after a recommendation by my boss. I got the Pad Prik and it was delish. My fiance got a 3 sushi rolls and some sashimi. Everything tasted so fresh! I had been looking forward to trying this establishment for a few weeks. I went there tonight with my girlfriend for dinner. We waited for exactly fifteen minutes to be served, but a waiter never arrived. The two tables in our section that came in several minutes after us were served promptly. So we left. We had a fine meal at the Village Grille down the street. After having dessert at a local frozen yogurt store and I dropped back in too T.N. Bistro to mention our experience with manager... only to be told that the manager had left the building and would not be back until tomorrow. This was at 9:44pm. So I simply left.
