Don't waste your time going here! They do not tell you how long to expect when you get in line, but it was an hour or more overall. The wait before you are seated was at least 30 minutes. They have you place your order before you sit, but you can't even have them start making it until you are seated, which then takes another 30 minutes. My meal said ready and completed for probably 8 minutes before it was brought to us. We were worried it was given to someone else. When I tried to as a team member, he was so frazzled to be asked questions and told me it would be another 20-30 minutes even though it said completed- luckily he was wrong. The food was maybe a 2/10. Only things good were the mushroom soup, kids cookie and the tiramisu. The Luigi burger was cold and bland. The truffle fries were just frozen fries with a truffle dipping sauce. The kids spaghetti I couldn't even eat- the sauce was so dry from probably sitting that it was as if there wasn't sauce at all. The garlic knot with it was cold and dry. The place is cute but we left hungry and annoyed to have wasted over an hour. Toadstool Cafe was very reminiscent of my recent trip to Japan where the themed cafes go all out with the decor, food presentation, and ambiance, but lack actual flavor in the dishes. The general menu is a little more basic, I assume to cater to kids since it is in Super Nintendo World. I had heard that the Super Mushroom Soup was actually the only thing that's good, and I would agree! It was very yummy. The Luigi Burger needed more pesto, but the truffle fries were actually pretty tasty with the sauce on the side. I also like how quick the service is and the QR code ordering. Overall, the cafe is such a cute place to eat at, but don't expect amazing flavors! I would still come back as a huge Nintendo fan myself! read more

This cafe is literally the cutest. I'm so in love with the decor, I mean how can you not. As for getting seated it was super quick I didn't have to wait long maybe around 5 minutes. For the food items, my sister and I got the Super Mushroom Soup, Yoshi's Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Super Star Chicken Salad. The soup is a little thick and has a strong taste of mushroom. I was disappointed with the salad, it was extremely salty. Out of all the food items the fettuccine alfredo was the best. Toadstool Cafe is one of the make dining-in options in Super Nintendo World. And just like Toad is known for being a little guy, I think this restaurant is far too small for the mass of crowds that will come to eat here. It seems like a really inefficient system. You order through the app, but then have to wait in line right when you walk in. Then, once they let you through the line, you walk to a new room to wait in yet another line where there's a bar for certain drinks, and you wait to get your table. Then, once you get to your table you scan it in the app and only THEN do they start making your food. We probably waited 20-30 just to get a table, then at least 30 minutes for the food. It was absolutely packed in there and it was just a preview day during mid afternoon not even prime lunch rush time. I am very curious how this will go when the park is open to all- it is super cramped. As for the food, it was alright. Nothing to call home for but it'll fill you up. I think the best thing is the creativity in naming and theming the food. We got the Luigi burger which came with a plastic Luigi hat and his famous mustache printed on the bun. It added to the fun for sure. It's definitely a cool scene inside and will make your kids heart or your own inner kid soar. They have screens all around with various Toads doddling around, and even once in awhile there's a little even that happens on them that can be entertaining. I'm glad I got to experience Toadstool Cafe at least once but it's probably one I'll avoid at Epic Universe now. read more

Cute restaurant and since it was in a theme park I didn't expect much but OMG. To start, the line went really quick and the process was smooth but when the food started to come, we were missing 3 items of the 6. We try flagging someone down and when we finally got someone he said "I'll be right back" yeah, never came back. Flagged down the next cast member and he went to grab the supervisor. She apologized and said the order was lost but don't worry it will come out soon. I don't care what you say about this place... it's absolutely adorable and the food is actually good. We went earlier in the day (morning) and didn't have to wait for a table. I enjoy ordering at our table and I think it makes things so much easier now that Universal does this. The food came out pretty quickly too. Toadstool cafe was high on the list for our kids when we came to Nintendo land. They had to come here and eat video game food. It was a little chaotic when we visited because we had previously been stuck on the Mariocart ride when the firealarms had gone off across the entire Nintendo land. Rides had been stopped, restaurants evacuated and all of that. We were in the queue right before getting on the ride and couldn't hear the alarms so we stayed on the ride. Eventually the alarms were fixed after about 20-25 minutes. We rode the ride twice in a row thanks to the line being so empty from the alarm issue. We went to the restaurant after and they were still fixing issues where people were reordering food when they had been eating when the alarms went off before. We sat and ordered without issue. Ordered the fettuccine, fire flower spaghetti, and the mushroom pizaa bowl with the star power bobba drinks. The drinks were incredible. The food was good. The spaghetti was probably the best thing with Fettuccine being 2nd and the pizza bowl being just ok. But it looked awesome. I will say that. But the pepperoni mix in the bowl was a little oily and felt a little crazy in my stomach. The inside of the restaurant is fun and the screens on the walls are very fun to watch. The food is a bit overpriced because it wasn't AS special as it could've been because the burger was a bit dry but the sauce made it so much better! My brother got the meatball and he'd rate it a 7/10 he loved the proper cook of the meatball and the theme of the dish, he enjoyed the spice! When in epic, this little cute cafe is a must especially if you have children. Price point was great! Portion of food was good and service was fast! Everything on the burgers were fresh and tasty. Spaghetti and meatballs were flavorful and large in portion, could easily split by two people. Mushroom soup was a bit too starchy, could use less cornstarch to enhance flavor. The tiramisu looked adorable but it tasted more like a cappuccino mousse. And the only real issue I had is the fact that they have no to go boxes :/ not even if you wanted to pay for one. The food was horrible and cold. My mom ordered the Luigi burger and it was a bug, with a 1.5 inch cut bell pepper and a cold piece of chicken breast. There was supposed to be a drizzle of aioli or something but I think the bun soaked it up lol. If fun to take younger children, like 6 and below. One of my favorite places at the park. Food was good, but only good. Mario Burger was good, ingredients were fresh, but cheese was weak, and the beef patty wasn't anything special. The fries though, the truffle oil flavor was all over the place, from subtle on the good fries, to overpowering enough to make you quickly reach for a drink. My friend ordered the Luigi burger which didn't just have a lot of green bell pepper, it had a full ring 3/4 of an inch tall lol. Also the pesto wasn't pesto, it was chopped basil chucked on the bottom bun. Comically bad preparation. But I still give it a four because it's a theme park, so some grace is given. The place was clean, we were served fast, staff were very nice, and the theme/presentation of the cafe kicked ass. Decor was excellent, and the "windows" were well done giving you a view out to the mushroom kingdom and had an event that occurred that was pretty fun. read more

We heard from some friends that the food was really good for an amusement park. We decided to try it out while we were here and we were pleasantly surprised. It was amazing on the inside. Once again, the Toadstool cafe was a very cute experience for us. We love the theming of this place and all the moving details that go into the cafe. It does get pretty busy in here but the service is still very good. This time we went only for the popular Peach Cake! It was the cutest thing when it came to the table! It came with an edible card from Peach herself and truly looked like something she would make! It was tasty, but I will say it was almost entirely whip cream unfortunately :/. The layers of cake are hardly and inch and the width and height of actual cake is made up by whip cream. The strawberry filling was also a very small circle in the middle. I usually wouldn't complain because it truly was tasty after we got around the whip cream, but for $24 I can't say I would recommend this very pretty sweet treat. However we still do love to dine for meals at the toadstool cafe and will be returning in the future! read more

Fun theming and quick service. First things first, it's theme park food. Do not walk into this cafe expecting high quality or cheap meals, and frequent visits from waiters. You walk in, order food on an app, and leave. Speaking of ordering, the new Universal ordering experience is great. My party of 3 walked into the cafe at 4:00pm with no wait, and a staff member was very kind explaining that we can sit wherever and then scan a QR code to order. The food came out very quickly, like less than 10 minutes, and it was easy to order. I got the "Luigi Burger" and it was surprisingly delicious. Chicken was well cooked and had a great texture, and the truffle fries were excellent. The burger came with a savory and creamy sauce that was very good and added a lot to the meal. It was so good in fact that I ended up just dumping the whole container of sauce straight onto the bun of my burger! , The bun came with a very cute mustache symbol on the top, and the quality of the bread was very high as well. The portions were average, but I did get a lot of fries compared to other places at Universal. It was pretty pricy with my single burger being around twenty dollars but like I said, it's theme park food. It's going to be expensive. I see it as I payed ten dollars for a fun burger and ten dollars for the experience. The inside was amazing. It had screens that showed toads of all kinds performing daily tasks and it was very entertaining to watch. I completely understand the other low rated reviews BUT keep in mind this is a brand new restaurant in a brand new park that gets flooded with people all times of the day. We went first thing as a super early lunch while everyone swarmed the rides. The employees were super friendly. The food: I got the chef toad herb chicken. It was a lot better than expected! The cream sauce really helped pull this dish together. It came with roasted potatoes, spinach, and slices of roasted tomato. The potatoes were so good. The chicken was a little dry, and that's the only issue I had with the dish. My husband got Bowser's fireball challenge. It was a huge meatball covered in tomato sauce & cheese and topped off with a Bowser shaped pastry. Note: this was pretty spicy (I can't handle much spice). It's literally just a spicy meatball with sauce, so there's not much to it lol. We also got the viral block tiramisu. I was hoping the outside part would be made of white chocolate, but it was made out of a flavorless wafer. Was it the best tiramisu I've ever had? No, but it was a fun thing to order if you have the extra spending money. Atmosphere: this was almost as enjoyable as a ride in my opinion. Keep in mind, we got there first thing and there were only two other occupied tables, so we had a very different experience. Each window plays a little video of the toads working or walking around.
