After a half an hour wait to be seated which is normal and to be expected on a sunday for brunch the loudness of everyone chatting, the music in the back, and the constant dropping and clanking of silverware and plates resulted in all 3 of us having headaches. After over half an hour of waiting we were hoping our waitress would humor us by at least walking toward the kitchen but sadly no. We eventually got our food by the fourth different wait staff to help us, the food pleasing to the eye and for sure filling was bordering between alright and good. 15 minutes after we got our food we're packed up waiting for our checks so we can finally leave...that sums up Toast coffeehouse. read more

Tried this place last minute. I went on a Sat there was a waitlist. When we got there we were offered a high top table so we wouldn't have to wait so we took it. Service was good. The food, mimosas, and caramel cappuccino were really good. The decor inside is also soo cute! I will definitely be coming back. read more

I've never had worse service in my life. I wanted to get a quick bite and coffee before I had to head into work. I sat at the bar took a minute for someone to acknowledge me. It was a Sunday I'm in the restaurant business too I get it. The first person that came over took my drink order and I get like I was bothering her when I had questions about the drinks. She disappeared and came back legit 20 mins later with my coffee. The couple next to me who sat down after me got their drinks by someone else and BEFORE ME. Brushed that off. The person who was serving the couple then took over and asked if I would like to order. I ordered the steak and eggs. She asked how I would like both the eggs and the steak. I said rare and over easy. Steak came out medium well. My server never came back until 30 mins after my food came out that's no 50 minutes wasted just waiting for service. I had no refill no ketchup napkins salt or pepper. No one checks on how their guests are doing? And there were 10 people behind that bar and not one person there to help people sitting there and about 50 percent of those people were just standing there on their phones. When my server finally came back to check I showed her the steak and said I didn't really like this it's not how I ordered it but I need the check because I have to leave. I ate ONE EGG the meal was about 19 dollars they took off FOUR DOLLARS for eating ONE EGG. I had to talk to the manager and explain why I am not paying for this. I asked her why she has her team all behind the bar all on their cell phones and no one there to serve anyone and she didn't give me an explanation she just blankly looked at me with no emotion and said "I'm so sorry". It's like you're bothering them being there. Just simply rude. It's too bad because their peanut butter coffee was so good and I would love to come back but with that service I don't I will. read more

They were seating ppl of 2 in 4 chair table and had ppl waiting for hours every time i would go ask how much more they kept telling me another 20 mins . While I realize it was Father's Day and holidays are never easy for quoting wait times and length of time food from kitchen to table it was way too long for both. We were on the waitlist and tables were seated before us even though we were before them . Our parents are elderly with one being wheelchair bound. So after the lengthy wait for a table our food took just about an hour to be served because to go orders were filled before customers seated in the dining room. While our server was engaging and pleasant it's seems the call ahead waitlist needs some adjusting as it was disorganized and misquoted. First time at Bayshore location, which opened 5 months ago. Arrived at about 9:50am, and the place was almost full, but no wait for 3 people. Cool circus theme and big open area made it quite noisy. Creative, extensive breakfast and lunch menu and drinks. Mocha cappuccino was delicious, apple crumb pancakes moist, and turkey bacon seemed more like ham but still yummy. Pancakes were good- not great. Forget to bring side of turkey bacon- had to go back to get it. Never came back to check on food. Had to wave staff down to get syrup & ketchup. While we love Toast Coffeehouse, this was our first time to the Bay Shore location and will probably be our last. We will continue to go to the Patchogue location. We were not satisfied with the service or food We opted to go to Bay Shore because the wait was less than Patchogue. We were fortunate to not have to wait for a table at all, due to the skip the line app. While our waiter came over as soon as we sat down and asked what we wanted to drink and they arrived very quickly. He then came back and took our breakfast order. He helped two people in our party select what they wanted as they were torn between two options. It was then that everything went down hill. No one came back to see if we wanted refills on our coffee, never had any water delivered to the table and we finally had to flag someone down to get more of both. Our food took a very long time to arrive and we again had to ask for a refill on coffee. Two people in our party were not satisfied with how their bacon was cooked, when they specifically asked for extra crispy and well done. It was still squealing when it arrived and since we were all hungry having had to wait, they opted not to make a complaint or asked to send it back. As I said above, I will continue to go to the Patchogue location, will be quite a while, if at all, we go back to the Bay Shore location. read more

The food here is a definite 7.52 and 8 had the French toast and the cinnamon swirl french toast and it was pretty damn good. Atmosphere is very nice but there's a rhyme and reason to how people are supposed to get served waiting 15 to 20 minutes for the menus to arrive and then another 10 for the order we put in is definitely not conducive to a solid business plan that's why they lose a star. And we are here on a Thursday with plenty of open seating so the fact that they are crowded was not an issue I do recommend the place but expect to wait either way . read more

This restaurant had very good food. After hearing about this restaurant the Miss Lucy scramble was raved about and they did a good job. I ordered a rap with chicken dressing and I found it to be very good. The reason why I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a small location and the atmosphere is very loud. Before us was a party of 14 and the restaurant did not adapt very well to big parties. But overall I thought the food and service was very good and I hope to come back soon. read more

One of my friendgirls recommended TOAST. I've never been until today. She went to the site in Patchogue. She raved about the food. I can see why. While the wait was over an hour, it was worth it. I had the Ceaser salad with added shrimp and avocado. Delish. The shrimp was warm with the lettuce fresh. The only drawback: management needs to make a better waiting area. We were bunched up by the door with the cool air blowing in and the door slamming. Not good. I want to say thank you to our waitress, Rachel. I know our table was a bit specific with the orders. But you and the wait staff handled the orders with grace and patience. December 27, 2019: Back for a second time with two other friends. PROS: the omelette I had with fresh fruit and toast, great. I don't know if Steve, one of the bartenders, was told to come over to us while we waited to offer drinks, but it was an excellent idea. Jon S, our waiter, was attentive and not intrusive. CONS: wait times could be long, more than 30 minutes. The waiting area needs a major overhaul. Door swinging open and close, patrons getting in the way of wait staff, folks coming in with strollers. We went there on a beautiful Sunday morning. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. No big deal and we put our name on the wait list and went for a walk in Bay Shore village. Got the text approximately 30 minutes later and went to our table. We looked at the menu so when the server came over we placed our entire order. Our drinks came out in about 5 minutes and me and my wife chatted waiting on our breakfast. The server came over after about 15 minutes and apologized that our food wasn't out and said he would check on it. 10 minutes go by and I noticed that table that came in after us were getting their food. I said something about it to the server and he stated that he would check again. 5 more minutes and more tables ( large group) that came in after us were getting their food too. I find the manager, He apologized and checked. Our food was out 2 minutes later. I have to admit the food was great but the service was not. The manager did give me 15% off the bill. They have both a multigrain french toast and a tofu scramble that were excellent. The tofu wasn't really scrambled, it was cubed with fresh veggies. You have to seperatly remind the staff to keep butter out of your home fries to keep it vegan even when ordering a vegan dish. But it comes out delicious. They are able to make most coffee drinks vegan. My favorite is the chocolate peanutbutter almond milk latte. The place is a little noisy becaise it is small and busy. But the food is great the menu serves vegan and non vegans alike. I will definitely be back! read more
