This is a great place to come and grab a quick bite! The guys behind the counter were so friendly and nice! The açaí bowls are freshly blended right in front of you, I got the tropical bowl without coconut flakes and it was delicious with a ton of fresh (not frozen) fruit. There is also plenty of open seating upstairs. Great place. Will become a regular as I live down the street! So happy this place opened up. read more

Whhaaaat. I'm so sad. Why does this place only have 3 stars? This place is my absolute favorite. I've been coming here for years because it's right by an Asian bus stop. I just figured out recently what the name was. I love the food bar here. So many great hot platters, salads, and fruits. Everything is so fresh. The only downside is that it is a little expensive. But the food is so good, does it really matter?? Will DEFINITELY keep coming back here. It's a great lunch place. read more

Two months ago i got a severe allergic reaction/food poisoning. I thought that maybe it wasn't the food because I'm also allergic to dairy. Although I've never had such a bad allergy to dairy. I went in yesterday and when I picked up the salmon it had coagulated fat all around it. The type of fat that forms around meat after it is cooked and refrigerated. Maybe this food was not the reason why I had an allergic reaction, but do you want to risk your health? read more

If you want to wait 15 minutes on a line to order your food, to have it taste and look mediocre and pay 10% more than you what you would for a bagel w/ cream cheese, and then get a wrong order, please look no further than Toast Cafe. The workers are RUDE and they will LIE to save face. They straight looked me in the eye, handed me a sandwich that they said was MY order, and then when I came back to show them the wrong order, they lied and said that I took it from the counter. I was overall impressed with this place -- I got food from the hot bar and I was pretty satisfied with my experience. It was around $10 for a medium-sized container, which isn't super cheap but also isn't too expensive compared to surrounding places. I've been here about 5 times because it's a convenient location to my office. Only once did I actually like the food. Even the hot/cold buffet was tasteless and I wasn't expecting much. It was worse. I only liked one item and they never sold it again after that day. The other day I ordered bibimbap and they doused it in teriyaki sauce. Anyone who knows anything knows that doesn't belong. Great place to stop In for a quick bite and smoothies. But 5 stars is totally attributed to the friendly customer service. We were on the outside of the storefront after a purchase waiting for our bus when one of the lovely gentlemen employees tapped on the window summoning us back in. He offered our restless 4-year old a complimentary scoop of gelato. A very sweet surprise and delight to her and her weary parents - turning an otherwise anxious commute home into to a calming one. I absolutely LOVE this place! This is one my favorite places to stop for breakfast or lunch because they have great variety. I love fresh fruit and they have plenty of it as well as fresh breads, and smoothies, and omelets! They can be on the more pricy side since their options are mostly buffet style so your plate is weighed at the end...in other words be careful not to eat with your eyes. There is seating upstairs with big windows for you to see all the hustle and bustle of the streets. Lastly, just be mindful that this is a very self service location so don't expect to be waited on or cleaned after. read more

Terrible customer service. The cashier was extremely rude to both me and my sister. After spending our money to eat food from the buffet, we decided to grab two plastic containers for our dessert to take home separately with us. As we were leaving the store, the cashier screamed at us saying that we were not allowed to take the containers. "Excuse me, you can't take those! Those are not free!" We informed her that we had already PAID for food and eaten upstairs (this was the same woman who rung us up, so she knew this), but she rudely insisted on making a big deal out of it and telling us that we needed to buy something else if we wanted the containers. So you mean to tell me that during a PANDEMIC, after we had already touched the containers with our hands, that we were supposed to put them back for other people to use? After already buying food from this place? Where's the logic in that? How is that an acceptable way to treat paying customers? Not to mention, she proceeded to scream at us while other people were waiting on line to pay for their items. So much for attending to customer needs. This establishment is a joke. Horrible customer service at the cash register. We requested to have one of our noodle soup to be bagged separately but she overheard "pay separately" instead. Both cash registers started to throw our orders into the bags when we clarified our request. They also refused to give us the utensils until we asked for it. I used to come to this place all the time for breakfast but not anymore! The guys at the breakfast counters are so super rude, especially the man who cooks the omelettes. The guy who mans the bagels and cream cheese is nice and polite, but those by the grill- avoid!! They have no patience, yell at you, and give you a nasty look. Provides very fresh & healthy options - unfortunately the fresh juice process takes to long during the week even during slow traffic times, owners need to invest in a commercial grade juicer. AVOID! The food is AVERAGE for your korean run deli however OVERPRICED to help pay for their latest remodel. I had been coming for breakfast for sometime just because it's close to the subway exit and after the remodel / higher prices paid a little extra for convenience. I would laugh at the tourists coming in thinking the $9.99 signs meant all you can eat instead of $9.99 / lb. My cashier today said I needed to buy more because I didn't meet the minimum, despite coming in REGULARLY putting $4 on card. I explained to her the management always allowed it for breakfast, but she was insistent and only pointed to her $5 sign. I was going to call the owner or my usual cashier over to explain they didn't have their full breakfast out yet and I already added a $2.25 La Croix ($2.25 REALLY?!), but didn't want to bother. Holding that soda that I could easily get for a dollar at my building's bodega or 20 cents at Target just underscored how EXPENSIVE this place is and how much it just isn't worth it.
