I also love that they give you the option of either home fries or hash browns. Their home fries are delicious. My food was done on time and the worker that took care of my transaction was friendly. 2nd visit with same expectations from previous visit which was a nice dinning experience. Unfortunately that didn't happen and sad to say won't be visiting again. Plenty of parking and location has inside and outside dining. Good for large parties. We sat inside. Ac could have been lower because it got a bit warm. For the bad part, the energy of the place was really low, it felt like waiting at the dentist, only difference is that there is music in the background. The only music heard came from the kitchen. We asked the group next to us about energy and they agreed. Service was awful. Can't sugar coat that. Our waitress was not welcoming at all. She looked tired and uninterested in working. When I asked for coffee refill she didnt give eye contact or gave me answer, just walked away letting me wonder if she heard me or not. She came back, poured coffee and I said "thank you" she didn't say anything and walked away. It's unfortunate how bad service results in a loss of customers. Food was good. Loved this place! came here for breakfast with my mom and was immediately sat down outside in their patio. It was a monday, so just take that into account. But the lady who sat us and our server (Zach, sorry if i'm spelling that wrong) were all so kind. Zach also took the time to answer my mom's question that she had. Cute little brunch place in a very unassuming center. Really enjoyed their selections of avocado toasts. Do wish the portions were bit more but the taste for my avocado toasts was light and creamy. Glad I paid extra for the shoulder bacon (which is similar to Canadian bacon) as it was not too salty and was a good balance to the creamy poach eggs and toasts. The chocolate pancakes was also delicious with the texture leaning more towards cake then pancake. Husband said it tasted more like a dessert when he finished the left over at home. They menu has a trendy LA feel with out having to deal with the horrible LA traffic . Prices are not super cheap and surprisingly, for a place name Toast, the toast was the most underwhelming part of our meal. This is our favorite brunch place! Everything has been pretty good for the most part. Except the veggie omelette was a little lacking of flavor on our last visit this past weekend, asked for a side of cheese and some salsa and solved it. This place was amazing! My husband and I find places to eat for our breakfast date of the weekend. I found this place and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the cucumber lemonade and it was Devine! I also ordered the steak eggs Benedict and the meat was tender, yolks were perfect and the sauce was Rich and creamy! My husband ordered orange juice and the sunny avocado toast. He loved every bite. Denver omelette not very fluffy but rather burnt and thin. Bacon up sourdough toast with avo was very hard to eat and cut. The sourdough was very tough and so were the bacon was very tough. I used to love coming here but just recently went here and it's has become so pricey for mediocre food. The struggle is real with restaurants and price increases because now we have to be extra picky on where we eat. Do I want to pay 30 for one item when I can get way more quality food at Orginial Pancake House down the street for that price? Even the lemonade tasted like they just squeezed a lemon inside water. Grumpy manager, cold food, and patio chairs that seem like you're in a kindergarten class waiting to speak to the teacher. For the price you pay for a plate you would think they could at least buy nice cushions for the benches outside! This is another little spot that I wanted to enjoy by the Instagram pictures being posted, but instead I went home nauseous and sad to say grossed out. We did get seated quickly and were given coffee, after that it was miserable. We ordered our food and waited and waited and waited.... so obviously I start looking around to see what's going on when I notice this worker say "I wasn't talking to you" to a gentleman that was sitting at a table. I'm not sure if she knew him or not, Regardless, she was working and that sounded completely rude. (She must have been the manager or owner because she was moving the servers around ) Finally, after a looong while, we get our food hoping it was going to be the best breakfast ever but hell no. The whole experience was unpleasant. The Eggs Benedict were cold and the hash brown it came with looked like the left overs from the bottom of a fry basket, not good at all. The Eggs Benedict that came with steak was also cold and those country fries were so sad tasting as well, as for the pieces of steak, for the price they charge you would think they would put actual pieces and not niblets. The toast with salmon, cucumber and avocado tasted off, I ate about half of it and just couldn't eat anymore. I was nauseous the rest of the day. The dish was just not good and finally the French toast.... come on it's FRENCH TOAST!! It was cold and the only thing good was the frosting! All the plates are nice to take pictures of but that's it. As for the restaurant, it does also need some TLC and a nice spruce with paint and patio furniture. Come on if you are charging hipster Highland Park prices make it worth it. Our server was nice just a bit timid, she should be coming around more often with coffee refills for that long wait! Lol! We saw our food get dropped off at the wrong table and our server did not care to say anything as we continued to patiently wait and observe them take it back to the kitchen. It was not busy at all only three to four tables. No one even checked in on us. The other tables got their food way before us. Oh yeah and when we did get our food, another server asked if she could take our salt and pepper for another table.. maybe have a stocked station instead. Be aware that they do not offer take out on weekends. I had to dine in and order food to be served in take out box. While doing so, no one came to take order for 20minutes, I just had to sit in heat waiting. I understand that kitchen might get backed up and cause dine-in service to be slow hence the reason of them not offering take-outs but to be fair that's none of my business, I'll tip 20%, wait for a bit if that's needed and will not complain but for management to deny take-out seems like incompetent. Typical business that has issue with managements, the food is good, staff is always friendly but management always mess up the experience. Considering business is doing well with dine-in area full and high profit margins, they should hire more kitchen staff, expand their equipments to handle take-outs/deliveries they'd def make more but as I say, owners seems to be incompetent and perhaps lazy. read more

I was seated right away with the menu. Based on what I'm seeing what customers are eating, this must be super good. I decided to try the classic bennedict (2 english muffins topped with hickey smoked shoulder bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise). I don't think I had a bennedict before, but let me tell you, it's like having toast... with english muffins though. It's really good. Comes with one side which I opted for the toast. Service here was amazing. The employees here are amazing. Isabel was serving me. She has great personality and very friendly too.... Oh, and she love her job. I don't really know what to say about what I just witnessed. There was a card table setup at the entrance where a person was taking names for the waitlist, but also wrapping the silverware in napkins. He was pulling the napkins out of a very large brown box, and the silverware out of a metal tin. I glanced into the metal tin and saw that silver he was pulling out was literally covered in food. It appeared to come straight from a dirty table to the tin, then he was simply wiping it with a damp, used towel before wrapping it and handing it to patron being seated. I could not believe my eyes. My only regret, not grappling a quick picture as I'm sure management will likely deny this. In was also astonished no one else paid enough attention to see where the utensils they are about to use were coming from. This has to be some sort of code violation.
