Great new spot for coffee, juices, bowls and toasts. Surprisingly wasn't super busy on a Sunday morning but it still took a while to get our food. They just opened and they are working out the kinks and all of the other patrons were kind and patient. The staff went out of their ways to show their appreciation. The peanut butter toast is so good. You can tell they use high quality ingredients including the honey and all of the fruits. They make great juice concoctions. I had one and liked it so much (radiance) that I bought one on the way out for later. I'd had my fill of coffee before I went but their coffee smelled so good. I asked someone what brand of coffee they use and before I knew it, I was brought a steaming cup of amazing coffee! I can't wait to go back and try one of their seasonal drinks. Omar and his team are super warm, inviting, and provide awesome service! Everything is freshly made in-house and with high-quality whole-foods. It was my first time trying Toastique, and let me tell you; I was able to try a variety of items and my overall consensus is that it's AMAZING. You're going to want to have a seat and read thru this detailed review so that you know exactly what to expect! Smoothies: Ginger berry smoothie - Deep pink colour from the pitaya. If you love ginger, (really good for digestion and nausea) this one is for you! Blue Mystique smoothie - my fave color is blue because it resembles the ocean. Spirulina is a superfood it has a neutral taste and natural blue colour. Bowls (some of the toppings may repeat, but I'll tell you what stands out in each bowl) Dragon berry bowl - I love anything pitaya because not only is it super healthy, but it has a deep pink colour, and some of the toppings include strawberry, kiwi, and goji berries. Blue Mystique bowl - beach lovers, this one will whisk you away to a tropical island! Cocolada bowl: Coconut lovers, please get this one!! Gourmet toasts: Smoked salmon toast: it's not just any smoked salmon, it's PASTRAMI smoked salmon. The combo of the smoky flavour of the salmon and the herbed cream cheese is sooo good. Tuscan tuna toast - not your typical mayo tuna mix! It's instead uniquely dressed with herb aioli and sun-dried tomatoes, and it's sooo moist and juicy. The balsamic glaze complemented it so well. Avocado smash toast - The marinated tomatoes and chili oil are chef's kiss!!! Tomato burrata toast - Herbed ricotta AND burrata in one toast?! Along with the heirloom tomatoes, pesto, and balsamic glaze, this was indulgent and so fresh. PB & J toast - I had to copy the description from the website because it honestly says it all: "Honey roasted peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, berry jam, granola, peanuts, honey drizzle, and mint on walnut raisin toast" - not your typical PB & J toast! this one's elevated. Lattes: Latte with oatmilk Hot matcha latte with oatmilk It was a rainy day so my husband and I ordered these hot, and it was so steamy, creamy, and comforting! If you love matcha, you need to try the matcha latte! Cold-pressed juices: Radiance cold pressed juice - this one was my favourite because of the combo of citrus fruits, pineapple, AND basil! I feel really bad leaving this review for a local coffee breakfast spot but I was so underwhelmed and disappointed. My friend and I came here for breakfast and coffee on a Thursday morning at 8:45am. We were 2 of the 5 customers they had that morning. We both ordered a coffee and toast. My coffee came out almost immediately but my avocado toast took a long time and it was honestly disappointing for the price. My total was $25 for everything and I got ONE small slice of bread with smashed plain avocado and some tomatoes. There was zero flavor. It needed some salt at the very least. And I was still starving after eating my one slice of bread so I had to go home and make a second breakfast. Waste of money! My friend, who ordered before me, ordered the same avocado toast except with no toppings. Just avocado and egg. Her toast took 40 MINUTES to come out after we ordered!!! Something that would've taken 5 minutes to make at home. She ended up having to go inside to ask about her food because it had been so long. Again, it was not busy and we were some of their only customers. Our overall experience was disappointing and I think it is extremely overpriced for what you get. For a business who specializes in toast, their toast was the worst part! The coffee was significantly better than their food. Maybe because it's still new and they are still working their kinks out? I walked into Toastique for their grand opening last Saturday and immediately was greeted by one of their staff as they were placing food on the table for others that were already sitting inside. The line was out the door, and every table inside and outside was taken so immediately thought "wow this place has to be good". And I wasn't wrong! I got the PB&B bowl, the superfruit smoothie, and the avocado smash with an egg on top. My favorite was by far the PB&B bowl, but I was pleasantly surprised at how refreshing the superfruit smoothie was! It was so good that I went back the next day and got the PB&B bowl AGAIN, and then I ordered it on DoorDash on Monday. Safe to say, I'll be coming here a lot. Great way to start the day. The owners were all there as well each day that I've gone, and they were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely gave me a "your friendly neighbor" vibe, and since I work from home, I think it could be a great place to set up and get some work done while eating some delicious food!
