Love this restaurant. I have been here several times, and tried multiple things on the menu and I have never been disappointed. The croffle's are such a treat! They are basically dessert, so you could easily stop in after dinner, or just grab a midday weekend snack. The corn dogs... YES. The korean tacos and the wings, another win. But THE BOBA - I have told many people that they have the best Boba in the entire City. I'm addicted and can't stop coming back for it. The amount of flavors (some I've never seen, before) and the quality that goes into it is top-tier. The customer service is top notch as well. Toastn tea has been on my want to go list for a very long time and we realized we were close to it today so we decided to stop in and try it since the first time we tried they were just opening doors and not quite ready to open yet. The atmosphere is super friendly and cozy it really welcomes you in. The service is great they're on top of things and good under stress. I got the chicken in a cup with cheese and Ray got the triangle kimbap spicy chicken needless to say we both loved them the Korean chicken was a little tough for me but I still powered through an ate all of it we got the Ube milk tea and strawberry cheesecake latte the ube milk tea was good however that was a little disappointed in the strawberry cheesecake latte due to the fact that it was extremely milked down and you could barely taste any other flavor except for getting a chunk of strawberry here and there. The Kimbap was delicious and I definitely will be getting one of those next time along with a Korean croffle because they look absolutely delicious but I highly recommend doing them a try. read more

This place is pretty cute. It has a fresh and natural look to it. If you are looking for a fun place to hang out, I'd definitely recommend this place. Toastn' Tea's menu is quite diverse - they offer Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean food. There is also boba here! Unfortunately, I am not a boba fan, so I will not be able to inform you on how their boba is here. I got the Vietnamese Combo Pho (it is gluten free). I did want to try their nachos, but I was really craving for some noodle soup and I was also really curious to try their pho. It's good! It was light and didn't feel too heavy. I don't have much to report - the flavor of the broth was good (I've had authentic pho before, so I've had tasted much deeper flavors of course), the noodles were a good texture (not too soft), and the beef and seafood did their job. The beef could have been more tender, but it was still fine. If you're craving some pho, this might be able to satiate your craving, but I'd probably go somewhere else if you're looking for some really great true pho dish. But I did enjoy the pho! It was a bit weird, because initially, they had forgotten to put in meatballs and shrimp in my pho. I had to go up to the counter and ask them, and they just gave me a small kitchen platter with the meatballs and shrimp. I feel like they should have asked to have my bowl back so they could put it in for me, but I guess technically it was quicker that they give me a platter with the stuff so I could just them in my pho instead. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and was glad I found myself nearby and starving! I walked in 5 minutes after opening and I was the 3rd in line. I wish I wasn't alone so I could have ordered more stuff to try/share with a table because the items are kinda expensive and the portions are pretty large. I went with the Cold Cut Banh Mi which I was told was their top seller and then I also got the Beef Bulgogi Loaded Nachos. I enjoyed both things and was very full when I left. The jalapeños on the Banh Mi were hot and everything seemed fresh. The nachos were crispy on the top but by the time I got to the bottom, it was starting to get soggy. Not bad not good to be honest. The bread itself was bomb. I think any sandwich thats made with that type of bread is good but this one was ok. I totally forgot to tell them to not put jalapeños in it but not a big deal. Except that the jalapeños were too spicy for me :( spicer than California ones if I'm not mistaken. The amount of lettuce and other greens in it was overwhelming. There wasn't enough meat for me. It was like a small line of diced meat which was good! But not enough. The size of the sandwich was big but I feel like I need two to get full. So overall it was ok, it was def a snack like how the menu states. So if you can eat then you are warned. Vietnamese coffee: BOMB. It was strong af! Which I like. I HIGHLY recommend that if you like a kick. It was the perfect mix of coffee and milk which is kind of hard to do when it comes to Viet coffee. The large size was tall! Which is a good amount for what you're paying for. You can add toppings in it but.. well that's weird for me to do. Shrimp Fresh Rolls: not worth it. The shrimp themselves were almost non existent to be honest. They were so small it was like they took out the shrimps from a cup of noodle and put it in the roll. The noodles were strange too... it didn't taste like the regular noodles that are used. It was reallllly weird. My mom and I thought we'd get sick from it but luckily we didn't. That's how weird it tasted. My mom said the peanut sauce was ok. But man. It just tasted weird. When I see honey toast on a menu, I go. Michigan only has two establishments with honey/brick toast that I'm aware of - here, and a place in East Lansing. It's a rare treat that I miss eating from my days in LA. Original Milk Tea, Large, Less Sweet w/ Boba ($6.75) - Even with less sweet, we found this to still be very sweet. There is a decent tea taste, not especially fragrant or anything, but it mixed well with the milk. For those of you who are lactose intolerant, Toastn' Tea offers coconut and almond milk as an alternative. The boba texture was decent, at least on the interior. The exterior is relatively broken down, with crevices and cracks caused by a broken down skin. This pearls stick to the teeth a bit more than boba from other suppliers. It gets stuck in the straw due to the broken down skins and inconsistent sizes. This is not the best drink. Caramel Honey Toast ($14.95) - This honey toast comes with well toasted/baked bread, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, two pieces of pocky, some graham crackers, and a caramel and condensed milk drizzle. Some of the cubes of bread were more crisp than others, with some quite well done. I was expecting a bit more in terms of toppings and a little better construction (one corner was completely cut open to have it hollowed out). This is not the best honey toast you will ever have but then again, even the worst honey toast will still be delicious. Toastn' Tea is a good option to satisfy your sweet tooth. Cozy cafe vibes, amazing Asian food, and plenty of free parking - gotta love Toastn' Tea for having all of the above! After following them on social media for a few months, Nate and I finally made it there to try their offerings. The menu consists of Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean food as well as boba drinks. We ordered the loaded Korean nachos with spicy chicken, a cold cut banh mi, hot dog and moz Korean hot dog, and a couple of the drinks - I got the butterfly pea lemonade drink with rainbow jellies, and Nate got the ube milk tea. Our food was done quickly and everything looked amazing. It was a lot of food but I was so hungry! The nachos were my favorite of the items we ordered - the wonton chips were perfectly crunchy and not overly greasy. Lots of toppings and cheese sauce and kimchi made them extra delicious! The banh mi was huge and I loved the bread - perfectly crispy outside and really soft inside. We added a bit of sriracha for an extra kick. The Korean hot dog was good - we were asked what toppings we wanted - you can get ketchup, mustard, sugar (traditional Korean street food way) or an aioli. We went with the aioli. It was hot and fresh, with a great stretchy cheese pull. The drinks were both excellent as well - the butterfly pea lemonade was pretty sweet but delicious, and the ube milk tea was my favorite. I love all the cute Instagramable spots inside the cafe, and they have games you can play and a cozy atmosphere that's really welcoming. This place is a gem! Food was so good! Had the spicy Korean Wings and the Seoul BBQ Wings both very tasty and sauced well! My wife had the vegan Pho and raved about it! I came here after dropping a package off at UPS next door and realizing I forgot my tea at home (for some reason Yelp says they're closed today but they have a sign out that says their hours as M-F 11:30-8pm and Saturday 12-8pm) . Trying some Korean Corndogs! We've heard a lot of hype about the corndogs so we decided to give it a try. The service was what you would expect and nothing to complain about. The ambience is relatively casual and is adequate enough to comfortably eat your food and visit with friends, family, and colleagues. The food was tasty and unique. Came here several times now and have decided to give Toastn' Tea four stars for now. First of all, I really enjoy coming here, love the location and am always supporting local Asian businesses. Reason being why I debated was because when it comes with the cons, one time I came and the person in the front struggled really bad at taking the order. Then, they messed up the order like three times... At the end they still forgot to add the tapioca pearls in the boba tea for my sister and that's kind of a basic thing for a boba place to have the capacity to take a boba order. I kind of gave up because it felt like they just couldn't do it right at that time. Second reason, one time the triangle kimbap had way too much mayo. Aside from the malfunctioning details, I still come and really try to give them a chance. For the most part, service has been great, I really love their chicken triangle kimbap (3/4 times I got it it was good), I do like their spring rolls and their vegan pho is good as well. I've found that most milk teas in GR are pretty sweet wherever you go, so it doesn't seem overly sweet to me like some people have said. Service is excellent considering the small size of the place. I heard lots of good things about this place, so one sunny Saturday I thought I'd try it out. I'm a huge fan of boba and pho. When I walked in, the interior was relaxing and GREEN. It kind of made me feel like I was in an outside cafe. There are high-top tables as well as benches with pillows and wicker basket chairs. There is no table service here. You order and give them your name, and they will call your name when it is ready. They give you your food on an aluminum "cookie" sheet. You can choose between chopsticks or forks. When I walked in, I knew I wanted the pho, because it is one of my favorites. I also ordered fresh rolls with shrimp, and a green tea with no syrup, and added boba. When I got the food, I discovered that the fresh rolls were HUGE, and I only managed to eat one. The order came with a peanut dipping sauce. The pho I ordered was COMBO pho, which means it had beef, meatballs, and shrimp. Compared to other pho restaurants I've been at, there was a lot less protein and noodles in the bowl. There was plenty of broth, so if you are a broth person, you will like that. The flavor of the broth was nice but I also added sriracha and hoisin sauce to the broth. I would have liked more basil. I was disappointed with the tea. There were no teas or smoothies that were sugar free, so I ordered a green tea which had a lower amount of sugar, and didn't add any fruit syrup. I added tapioca boba, because I love it. Unfortunately, the tea was pretty drab (which to be fair, they warned me about). Not having sugar free drinks are pretty common for boba tea cafes. I just wish it wasn't the case. There should be some concessions for people with lower sugar needs as well as those who like things less sweet. Husband ordered the Salted Caramel Milk Foam Tea but didn't enjoy it very much as he thought it was way too sweet. I don't believe you're able to adjust sugar and ice levels here. TL;DR - go there! Try all of the things! My husband and I went to eat here a week ago. We had 3 different types of boba and an absolute feast of basically everything on the menu. I was the winner of a social media drawing, which is why we had so much food. I'm so glad that I won this, as there were definitely some items that I would not have otherwise likely ordered, but am So Glad I tried! The space itself is so bright and welcoming - and very Instagrammable! It's not a large space, but they do have a couple low tables, a couple high tables, and a cute little nook with a couple egg shaped chairs and a little table. There is also a shelf with a bunch of board games. The stools for the high top also swivel, which is a nice bonus. The drinks were delicious! We had the cookies and cream smoothie with boba, Passionfruit Pea Tea Lemonade without boba, and Dragon fruit Lemonade with boba. The Dragon fruit also had chunks of fruit in the drink. They were all so good! The lemonades are nice and sweet, but not overpowering, and I think they'd be super refreshing on a hot day. My husband loves anything cookies and cream, and he was very happy with the smoothie. It wasn't overly thick, but was definitely not watery. I really want to go back and try more flavors! Oh my gosh, the food! I don't know what magic they use to make the taco shells, but they were outstanding! My husband could seriously not stop talking about how amazing they were on the way home! When you add the basics, it's an umami bomb in your mouth. Amazing on this cold day. Corn dogs were fresh and that cheese pull can be measured in feet's. Fresh rolls uses the square vermicelli and it created a blanket for all the goodies inside. I always wondered why people didn't use those noodles more? Let's start with the drinks. I had one of the fruit teas with pudding and bursting boba, excellent! Not too sweet, just perfect! My daughter had an ube milk tea with pudding and regular boba, she loved it! Free water, which the hubby had. Next, we got our food. We decided to try the Fresh Rolls with shrimp. They came with a mildly sweet peanut sauce that had coconut in it as well. The rolls were so fresh and the sauce a lovely compliment, these were a big winner for all. Then we had a Korean Hot Dog, which was really different from a corn dog. There was a really crunchy outer layer, like it was dipped in a light batter before being rolled in panko crumbs. It was filled with half a Hot Dog (bottom half) and half a mozzarella stick. Then a sweet "Korean" sauce was drizzled across the whole thing. We ended ordering a second one, it was so good. Finally, we tucked into the Loaded Korean Nachos. What a surprise. Fried wontons covered with melted nacho (?) cheese, chunks of bulgogi beef, slices of kimchi, jalapeño, cilantro and green scallions. Although the cheese was cold, they were absolutely delicious. Everything was yummy. The service at the counter was also excellent, offering input and suggestions as needed. The decor is typical of most boba joints we've visited over the last few years, with a fun selfie wall and a modern feel. The only issue we really had was the front glass windowed entrance. There is a large glassed in area, like a foyer, at the front. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a loooong time. The smudges and drips that were very visible were quite off putting. If they don't clean that, makes you wonder how well they clean the rest. Though the inside looks clean. But cleanliness is a big deal to us, so we took away a star we would have otherwise given. Stopped by on a Saturday after shopping. The place was busy but the line went quick. Ordered the beef pho and was moderately happy. Like others have said, the bowl was broth heavy and I too could have used a little more basil. Overall, I thought it was good but unfortunately the broth tasted over- reduced -like my teenagers - salty. So much so that I couldn't really finish the otherwise flavorful broth (hence the 3 stars). 10/10 would smash again. Hard to choose what to order from so many delicious looking options. My hubs and I shared shrimp fresh rolls, spicy Korean wings, and the mozzarella hot dog with aioli. Atmosphere is great, good service, drinks are amazing. When ive ordered food the portion of protein I've received is absolutely pathetic. I ordered the Thai sesame chicken and the "fried chicken" it came with was 90% breading 10% chicken. On another occasion I got the Korean street tacos, same situation. The tacos looked large but were 90% lettuce/cabbage with a tiny amount of chicken in the bottom. read more

Toastn' Tea overall is a very nice experience, especially for those wanting to try new foods. Everything is made fresh and is hot by the time it reaches you. The staff is very nice and the overall restaurant has a relaxed, clean vibe to it. There is a bit of a wait when you order, however. Overall though, I would recommend trying. The croffles have definitely become a favorite for me. read more
