These are the people you want caring for your pets…read more I have been seeing the doctors here with my older rescue dog for years, but we just had our first health crisis last week. They got my boy in for an appointment quickly, treated him gently (he is wildly anxious in the best of circumstances), and they treated me gently, too (also wildly anxious in the best of circumstances). They were clear, communicative, and Dr. Macri ensured I fully understood what was happening with my little friend and what next steps were. A week later, Gomez is back to normal. I know what to watch for, and if (god forbid) anything else happens, I'll be heading back to MHPH with full confidence my dog will be treated with kindness, compassion, and the best veterinary care available. Thank you to the doc and the entire staff. We are so lucky to have you!

Our 4 very senior poodles have been remarkably healthy throughout their lives. Dr. Dan has been there for us during their senior years as we navigate typical aging vs actual illness and respectfully supports our choices for testing and vaccinating sparingly. Shout out to Joan at the front desk as well, she always makes the wait in the waiting room less stressful.

Our cat recently passed about a month ago and we told the vet office since we had to cancel an…read moreappointment with them. They never sent a condolence card or anything. Instead they continuously message us about being due for an appointment which I feel like is such an insensitive thing to do when we're already grieving. Unprofessional vet clinic - I would avoid this place and not recommend it to anyone looking for a good vet! They don't care about your pets, they only care about the money. Also, if you were thinking of hiring the vet tech Tatiana as a pet sitter -- DON'T! She missed a dose of our cat's medicine, didn't clean the litter box or change the water daily, and then scammed us by asking for more money afterwards. For a vet tech, I would have expected better care but apparently everyone at Rivergate only cares about the money.

So glad my friend recommended this clinic! My dog has a lot of anxiety, but Dr. Indiviglio and the nurses were so patient and supportive. They even noticed some things I didn't and answered all my questions thoroughly. They helped me figure out exactly what he needed and even try out new medications. The pricing is pretty reasonable, and for the service we received, it was bargain. Thank you to Dr. Indiviglio and Rivergate Vet!

He told me that my dog was a boy with one ball and explained that I should possibly get the dog spayed. However yesterday I took my dog to another vet because of bleeding in the genitals to find out it was a girl on her period.

Just the best vet I've ever been to, and I've had cats for (eek) 35 years!…read more I recently had to have my 16-year-old, very sick cat euthanized suddenly, and my regular (big chain) vet service told me I'd have to wait for hours and hours before they could see me (and also that they'd have to charge me an "emergency appointment fee," ugh). So I called Midtown, and Dr. Suchanek let me come in immediately. And he could not have been lovelier -- let me sit and cuddle Mouse for the last time before the procedure, gave me as much time as I needed with him, then was so incredibly kind afterward... And his prices are shockingly reasonable, especially for Manhattan! Since then I've taken my younger cat in as well, and the doc has been really calm and thorough -- I've never felt rushed -- and he even called several times after, to check on how Scamp was doing. Also, it may seem like a small thing, but the office is clean, pretty, and peaceful. And even when I was terribly upset, the staff was super nice and patient. I've been to several other vets (and, lately, chains) in my decades of being a pet owner, and this is the first time I've wanted to write a review, because I'm just so grateful to have found them!

Called this place after doing an extensive search for a decently rated pet ER (not many around me). I am so thankful there is at least one, and they're open 'round the clock. Was placed in an examination room and was seen fairly quickly by a tech for vitals, followed by the vet (I swear I tried so hard to remember her name to give her a personal shout out but stress took away my memory). She was awesome. Thorough and caring. While nothing appeared to be an evident emergency, my cat was clearly suffering from something hurting him. Recommended course of action seemed slightly excessive, but this vet truly stepped up to help me out. I consented to an xray, which indicated constipation. Treatment included sub-q hydration, anti-nausea medication, and a laxative. Cat had never been poked and prodded so much in his life. But he was such a good boy, and thankfully never bit or scratched- just growled and hissed. I would have too, little buddy!! I truly, sincerely appreciate knowing my boy doesn't have any bowel obstruction or anything worse. Great relief that we'll manage with the laxative and hopefully he'll be good as new. Thank you to the Vet Tech and the assistant who were both so helpful and supportive (and whose names I also forgot). Great team. I really, really love that every staff member called my boy "friend" and treated him like their own.

But there were no surprises and we were guided through the various test options along the way to help control the cost. All of the ladies working there and the doctor were so professional and clearly dedicated to their jobs. They were very gentle with our sick cat and patient with us worried parents. And after we'd gone home they kept calling to check in on our cat to see if we had any other questions or concerns. They were so wonderful. Again the costs kicked our butt but in an emergency they were amazing.
