We stumbled upon Bella Fiore by mistake. It turns out to be the most fortuitous mistake of the weekend. We were greeted immediately upon entry and seated with no waiting. We arrive about 45 minutes from the restaurant closing. Not only did we not feel rushed at all, the server who attended to us greeted us like we were the first patrons of the day. She had a huge smile and was very pleasant. The food was outstanding. I had shrimp scampi at it was the best shrimp scampi I have ever eaten. The capers on the dish added a very vibrant flavor. Such a nice compliment to the main flavors. My partner orded a vegetable penne dish but substuted capalini for the penne. The dish was rich and flavorful. She had a glass of Pino Noir. The wine was delicious. Although the restaurant has no windows the murals on the wall really made you feel like you were in Italy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. I went with a friend. I got the cheese ravioli in vodka sauce. She got the eggplant parmagina. Mine was really delicious and cooked perfectly no hard edges She said hers was very good. We also got the tiramisu for desert. That was also very good. Service was ok nothing to brag about. The restaurant was clean and wheelchair accessible. Including the ladies room. I will eat there again. It is very pricey but also very good. They have a good size menu and a full bar. read more

Bella Fiore is such a great spot if you're in the area, especially if you're near the casinos. The atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit -- the murals inside are beautiful and give the space so much character, and the indoor waterfall is such a cool, unexpected touch. The espresso martinis were lovely and perfectly balanced -- smooth, not overly sweet, and honestly one of the better ones I've had recently. For food, everything we tried was impressive. The zuppa di pesce was delicious and full of flavor, and the pasta dishes were wow -- you can really tell the care that goes into them. Between the ambiance, drinks, and food, Bella Fiore is a solid choice for a nice dinner out or a stop before or after the casinos. I'd definitely go back. read more

It's pretty obvious that when you go to a restaurant for Italian food and it's owned by people who live in the Mediterranean region, the food is going to be spectacular. It never fails. Montenegrans, Albanians, Italians, Greeks...what cooks! They really know how to run restaurants as well. This place is no exception and is among the best. The food was amazing. Nothing more needs to be said. Great service, and they even have happy hour! The owner and staff are all extremely friendly. Very nice interior and great ambiance as well, with a wonderful water feature on one of the walls and a nice fireplace in Modelo (which is the bar portion of the restaurant). Great service from our waitress, she was very sweet and attentive. The food though, very obviously was simply microwaved, coconut shrimp was probably from the Walmart frozen aisle. Bella Fiore is such a hidden gem! I'm 110% keeping this restaurant in mind when I'm in the area and especially before or after a trip to Mohegan! Every dish we had was fantastic, and the desserts were great too. I literally felt like I was dining in Vegas with the artwork and waterfall in the dining room, and I loved the sweetheart style seating. Our waitress was very attentive too. After arriving at our hotel early we decided to find Italian restaurant for dinner prior to going to a show that night. We picked Bella Fiore and couldn't be more sorry. We should have suspected something when we arrived at 5pm and there were only two other people eating. As we were not overly hungry we decided to share a meal and appetizer. We had water and ordered their fried calamari for $17.99 and Zuppa DiPesce for $37.95. We received a basket with 4 little tiny pieces of bread for two people that was laughable in its proportions. Then the fried calamari came out and I'm pretty sure it was either raw or just about. They should removed the word fried because it does not apply to this dish. Extremely bland with the flavor and chewing consistency of week old bubble. Pass it by! Then the zuppa came out. It looked like enough for two on its way to the table but upon further examination it contained one shrimp, one scallop about a dozen over cooked mussels and about three clams. On a bed of about a cup of pasta. Had no taste and was a pretty small portion for $38. After a $54 dollar bill and the projection for 4 % upside for using a credit card we left after leaving a $10 tip. $64 dollars for one meal and an appetizer. If you enjoy bland food at that price welcome to Bella Fiore. I give one star only because I couldn't leave zero. read more

Frankly, I'm torn. On the positive side, Bella Fiore is decent for their pasta and their lobster salad is amazing. On the negative side, we ordered surf and turf via a delivery service, and they delivered a meager 2 little one- ounce steak medallions and 2 little shrimps, and a pile of broccoli and roasted potatoes. For $29.95??!!! Seriously?? Definitely not the quality we've seen from them in the past. Also, we ordered their dinner sized Caesar salad, and it was incredibly underwhelming and very over-priced for the small pile of romaine lettuce pieces topped with that powdered Kraft "Parmesan" cheese and a fistful of croutons. DEFINITELY not worth the $9.95 price tag. So I'm not quite sure if I recommend them yet. More often than not, I've been pleased with their food, but tonight it was abysmally bad in comparison, for the very expensive price we paid. They're not exactly making a great impression. Wow! Been there previously and went in with high expectations. We were not disappointed. The linguine with clam sauce (white) was delicious. Three of us had the same dish and agreed that it was absolutely incredible. Light and not overly cream laden. Generous portion. Bonus bread was delicious too. One of us got pizza. What a bargain! $5.00 up charge for ALL the meats and $3.00 up-charge for all the veggies. The quality first and size second made this an excellent value for a large pizza.. Thin crust. We went in and they had a special going on for V-Day for a full 3 course meal, but the catch was you had to spend the $100+ to eat there. I tried to talk to the manager to speak about just ordering dinner and not the 3 courses with appetizers and desserts and he agreed to the deal. But when the check came he UP CHARGED ME OUT AS IF I GOT THE V-DAY SPECIAL. My husband and I while spending a few nights in Norwich decided to try this restaurant by its good reviews. When we went in the hostess was ready to seat us in the rather loud bar area, then asked if we'd rather a quieter area. She took us the main dining room which was empty. We were treated like royalty. My son ordered the surf and turf which is advertised on their menu online as steak medallions served with shrimp scampi, our understanding of shrimp scampi being fettuccine with shrimp..... nope this is what he received A couple of steak medallions brocolli some potatoes and ONE PIECE OF SHRIMP!!! Called to complain and the first woman agreed with me but the gentleman that I spoke with told me that I was wrong when I was reading the online menu to him. My favorite pizza around by far! The crust is thin and crispy and all the toppings are fresh and tasty. The crust is still crispy even if you microwave it a few days later! The rest of the food I've tried from here also has good flavor and quality. I will admit that lately it seems the prices have gone up, but that's true of pretty much everywhere. Mom and I did a little getaway to the Inn at Norwich and this place was right up the road. Upon sitting you first notice the beautiful wall murals that take you away to another place. The staff was great. We were actually served by the owner who was wonderful and we had a delightful conversation. Then the food came and it was delicious. Very fresh and the flavors were amazing. We visited the Modelo side of this restaurant. The Bella Fiore side is more formal while the Modelo side is much more casual. I'm guessing that the menu is similar for both sides of the facility. Easy parking right in front of the building. Just a couple of blocks away from Mohegan Sun Casino. We just happened to arrive during happy hour which was a lucky move on our part. The specialty martini's were half off ($6) so we each got the Margarita Martini and it was the cat's meow. Served in an ice filled shaker it was basically a good amount of tequila with just a splash of lime juice. It was "to die for" good. With our meals we ordered a couple of glasses of red house wine, ($5 happy hour) and the wine seemed like a cabernet mix, but it was also very good and they gave us a good amount. I ordered a large cheese pizza and all I can say is WOW! They serve a very thin crust oven fired pizza and I believe the crust was seasoned, and boy was it a great pizza, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of ingredients. They provide, red pepper and cheese shakers on the table. I usually prefer to also have oregano but with the seasoned crust I didn't really need it. My wife got the shrimp scampi which was also very good. Pasta tasted homemade and it was perfectly cooked. The scampi was served in a seasoned olive oil sauce with 4 jumbo shrimp which were also very good, (but for $29 they should serve it with more shrimp), but it was also a very nice flavorful meal. We also got a side of bread and it was interesting as the bread seemed like it was made the same way they make the pizza crust, never had a side of bread like it. If you like eating the crust of the pizza, (which I absolutely do), then you will enjoy it completely, especially with the table olive oil and condiments. While we visited in the afternoon and it was a bit slow, we loved the set up on the Modelo side of this restaurant. The bar is a complete oval with plenty of seating around it. They have a nice dance floor and even some outside seating. All in all this is a great place and I bet it get hopping on Friday and Saturday nights so beware. We will definitely make a return trip to Modelo's. read more

Beautiful atmosphere, classic italian decor with a waterfall. Very fancy and romantic setting. The waitstaff was very nice, patient and accommodating. They didnt rush us nor ignore us. We got an app that was asapragus topped with lobster meat and a cream sauce which was amazing. Their house salad was something...different...it was iceburg with carrots, green bell peppers and craisins with a slice of an orange. I'd skip it. We split the seafood medley with marinara on top of angel hair. It wasn't al dente but still delicious! We asked to split the meal, they ended giving us both full size portions but only charged us for one, The seafood was AMAZING. Huge mussels, scallops, calamari, shrimp, etc.So nice of them! We tipped generously because the service was excellent. We dont go to Norwich much, but if we go back to Mohegan Sun we'd skip the overpriced casino restaurants and go to Bella Fiore! read more
