    Maine beers, pre-dinner

This place has so much going for it, a gem off the beaten path. But there are a few things that had me dropping a star. First the greats: beautiful setting and barn. Wonderful, friendly reception by the staff. Arrive a little early for your reservation, check in and grab a beer. Walk around the grounds, be sure to wear farm-ready shoes if you do this and watch your step as this is a real farm. Picnic tables are all around, grab a seat, review the menu and listen to the music. When it is time to for your reservation head back in and order at the register. You will need to pick your table in advance letting them know the table number at time of ordering. Your food will be delivered to your table. The food is very, very good. We had the pizzette as an appetizer and the wood fired crust was perfect. For dinner we chose the pasta and pork entrees. Large portions, great flavors, perfectly cooked and presented. They only serve Maine beers which is also wonderful. We shared a bottle of wine, it was reasonably priced. The frozen dessert was delicious. Dinner could not be better. Now the less goods. Cover charge. We had beers, appetizer, 2 entrees, a bottle of wine and dessert. What is the first charge I see on the bill? 2x$15 cover charge. Who ever heard of such a thing for a restaurant? Not good. If live music is a must for the venue, Increase your food prices, have a food and drink minimum or charge the cover to those who are only drinking and listening to music. After what we just dropped on dinner seeing a cover charge was not cool. Table hunting. We had a 6:15 reservation on a Saturday night. It was touch and go as to whether or not we could get a table for two in the dining room. If you can't get a table you may have to sit at a larger table and share space with others or be in bar area or outside. Would be nice to know you have a table without the stress. I am not adverse to this type of seating but it feels more brewery-like than restaurant-like. Overall this is a great place. Really good for small group or family. Not your special anniversary, quiet table kind of place. But this is a must do place when thinking about places to bring visitors or just a casual night out for two. Parking can be tricky so leave the big truck at home and bring the small car. For those thinking this is a replacement for The Lost Kitchen. It is not. Both TLK and TPF are wonderful but they are not interchangeable experiences. But, it is waaay easier to get a reservation at TPF and the food is terrific so put it on your summer dining list.

Toddy Farm is a magical spot in Maine! A beautiful working farm that provides their chef with the perfect ingredients to work some farm to table magic. I've been there twice since my family moved to the area and it's such a treat! The pizza is yummy with the perfect slightly burnt crust. The fresh meals are cooked perfectly with crispy skin and fresh veggies. The roaster potatoes side is a triumph! Honestly everything we've sampled has been fresh and flavorful. Take time to explore the farm before or after dinner- especially the baby piglets!

What a treasure! Beautiful barn and immaculately kept grounds, with pigs, sheep, and chickens. What a joy to sit outside on a summer evening and enjoy the local Maine band, The Little Corn Bread Muffins... great tunes, great vibe. The food is also top-notch, everything was amazing from the wood-fired pizzas to the tacos and the lamb kaftas and short ribs. A great selection of drinks too, but the very popular kombucha had run out when we were there. Loved it so much.

Really cool unique place with a memorable atmosphere. This family owned farm was a gem to find. It's in the middle of nowhere but it's worth the drive. This was a treat for my wife's birthday. The food was pretty good and overall, it was just a lovely spot to be. There was indoor and outdoor seating, a fire going, a string band playing, and you could go see the animals. It made the north air feel even better. I can imagine what a wonderful venue it would be for a wedding.

Get lost driving to Lost Kitchen? Try driving here! But damn, it's worth it; and at 1/4 the cost of Lost! This warm, wonderful, welcoming farm & restaurant has the perfect rural umami you're seeking. Read their fuzzy holistic story on website, explore their environs, then delight in their food and drink either in the gorgeous barn or patio. Winter and summer! And for music nerds like us their guests playing at most meals are world class, some are instructors at places like Maine Fiddle Camp. We sampled the whole app menu and one sausage spinach feta pizza. Unbeknownst to us the apps were huge and we wound up taking much home. All items were excellent (see menu pic here) with lamb chops and rillettes the hits. Pizza delicious but I would have preferred more crispy. Drink menu is short on wine/beer but they are choice. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, including for dietary restrictions. It's so much more than a meal. It's a memorable experience all around.

picnic tables outside to enjoy drinks and apps prior to the entree

Toddy Pond Farm held barn dinners by reservation only in summer of 2021. This was by far the best dining experience we have had in at least several years. Absolutely magical. Limited menu, appetizers and salads included, as well as live entertainment and access to the livestock and gardens. In the middle of nowhere, this was exquisitely executed and an evening like no other if you want to truly experience a farm to table in Maine. But be prepared, this is truly in the middle of nowhere -- which also adds to the ambience! I hope the owners are able to expand their schedule in 2022, we can't wait to go back.

Their service is awful. If you disagree with what they on Facebook, they cut you off as a customer.
