In Reno for the weekend, my brother sent a text that says MUST EAT HERE.. DONT SKIP THE JALAPENO CHEESE BREAD! So we ordered!! I used the website and placed the order with ease, we paid and it stated the order would be ready at 2:50 pm. At 2:49 I got a text stating the order was ready. Order Cuban on oregano parm bread Trip tip with blue cheese add mayo, slaw on the side on jalapeno cheese bread. The order was picked up with ease, arrived at the house at 3:45. The sandwiches were much larger than expected, and were still nice and warm. Opened the bag to find each sandwich was wrapped and clearly labeled. The herb flavors were present in the Cuban, the pickles were mighty tasty offsetting the fat, and the vinegar in mustard tied it all together and the warm fresh crusty bread... OHHHHH MYYYYY!!! Greatttttt sandwhich! Jalapeno cheese bread with trip tip was MF FIRE !! I'd never imagine blue cheese and trip tip with jalapeno and spinach. Wowwwww it worked.. let's talk quality... quality aromatic blue cheese with a nice punch to it.. it almost melted into the bread!! I am writing this review with mixed feelings. I was picking up something for someone else. While waiting for our order to be made, I was watching them making sandwiches and burritos diligently , grilling burritos on the panini griller. They had a lot of orders that they were trying to get out, but this one person accidentally put possibly mayo on a sandwich, turned around with the piece of bread in his hand, which I couldn't see what he did with it, but it was kind of wiped off, so I don't know if he scraped it on something, but he did not use a knife in my view to take it off then he took a towel to it, wiped it off and then put it on the grill for 10 seconds and then he put the correct spread on it. Now... What if that person was grossed out by mayo or allergic to something in the mayo. It would've been just as easy to get a fresh roll. That kind of grossed me out. I'm glad it wasn't ours. I have to wonder what that towel was used on. It wasn't a fresh towel. It was crumbled up. That has not sat well with me since I saw that. I think the rating on them (if I was an inspector ) would have been affected. Normally we love that place! read more

Was in the Reno Sparks area today and was looking for something new to try. Happened on this place via yelp. Great star reviews, so we decided to go try it. 1st off when we walked in, it was busy. There was the sweetest 2 ladies taking orders, but the lady with the glasses was the hugest help being our 1st time there. I ordered the biscuit and gravy burrito OMG the bomb. It was so delicious. Loved every thing about it. Now my husband ordered off the build your own menu. Turkey, ham, smoked cheddar, black olives, purple onion, Jalapeños and in house made pickles. Mustard, pesto sauce and horseradish sauce in a wrap. He said he'd not had a lunch like that in a long time. It was awesome to have an excellent meal. Now we did get to talk to Marissa the manager. This place has super big sandos. I got the Dutch crunch. Somehow it was soggy and dry at the same time. The wrapping was super wet. Flavor was delish however they could have added a bit extra sauce to soak up all the fixings. Overall it was tasty. And a large can feed 2 people. read more

It has been a while since I have been to the Mill Street FBD. As usual, we were not disappointed. One Pastrami and one Turkey Day and we have 2 full bellies. The Pastrami on jalapeno cheddar is full of flavor, Ask for light mustard if you are a huge fan of a mouthful of mustard. It is good, but could be over powering when the real flavor is in the bread and meat. The Turkey Day needs no tweaks. It is full of flavor and has just the right balance of tart, sweet, creamy and hearty in each bite. I think any bread choice would be good with the Turkey Day but the dutch crunch enhances the hint of sweet that makes this a great sando. The service was great as everyone wore a smile and the food came out quick and correct. The kitchen is now behind the wall, not sure why. read more

A gastronomic delight in the world of sandwiches! The staff are all talented and dedicated to their craft of making the best sandwiches. Fast and helpful with the plethora of choices available - breads, meats, cheeses, etc. It's kind of fun to watch the myriad of humans that come and go, especially at lunch time. Two large, clean dining areas with plenty of seating, TV's and landscape photos abound! I always feel incredibly full at full belly living up to its namesake! The jalapeño cheese bread has giant whole slices of jalapeño and is so crunchy and cheesy and satisfying. I tried the chicken pesto cold sandwich and the flavors were on point. The sandwich was so heavy and big that I ate one half and was able to save the other half for lunch next day. For $14 two lunches the value is pretty great! My partner had the philly cheesesteak which he has been craving for ages unable to find any decent ones in Reno. He was super satisfied with the quality and quantity, and also could not finish an entire sandwich. Glad to see that full belly deli remains ever popular and super busy! read more

I had the full intention of getting something for breakfast, but the variety of hot sandwiches caught my attention. I opted for the Cuban on Jalapeno Cheddar and my husband got the Dirka Dirka on a French Hogie with coleslaw on the side. We opted to add the Spinach & Goat Cheese salad with Tri-tip to add some greens to our meal. Service was friendly and informative - the female cashier gave me a quick rundown of the menu with a big smile on her face. They have a great variety of options along with gluten-free options breads and the wraps Our take out order was ready for pickup shortly after and I was impressed with the size of both the sandwiches and the salad. My favorite was the Cuban on Jalapeno Cheddar. The best Cuban I have had hands down! The jalapeno cheddar bread was soft with a good spice to it and the combination of the roasted pork mojo and black forest ham with the dijon mustard and pickles was impeccable. This is a cute little shop in a strip mall (parking can be kind of problematic) but the staff is very friendly and the place seems to be relatively modern! Now lets talk about the food because that why were all here right?? I ordered the pastrami sandwich is swapped the cheese out for pepper jack. Bathrooms were solo / gender neutral experience, if that's important to you. Kiddo loved the biscuits and gravy burrito. I had the gnar burrito. Must have some sauce so it's not too dry but too much and the bread slides off the meat onto your lap. Not a good look, just saying. This Reuben had a very tasty slaw which adds a crunch missing from most good Reubens. Perfect sauce to sandwich ratio. Service is great for moving things through. Get your lunch and move on. I've never had a meal here that wasn't fantastic! The employees are always very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is clean but it can get very busy if you come around lunch time. This was our first time at Full Belly Deli. We ended up at the Mill Street location because the Forest Street location was hosting a private party on this particular Saturday. We are amazed that we've never been here before (used to go to another local popular place) and now that we have, my hubby and I agree that FBD sandwiches are fantastic! We've found a new favorite sandwich place! I ordered a veggie sandwich and added roast beef to it to duplicate one of my favorite sandwiches in Bend, Oregon. It turned out great. The only thing I have to remember for next time is to ask them to heat up the roast beef and cheese so that it is melted before adding it to the veggie sandwich. My hubby ordered a turkey and ham sandwich and he loved his as well. The bite he shared with me was delicious. Thankful for all the Yelp reviews that led us here. We will certainly return again. We may even try the Forest location as it's closer to home. Though Sylvia at the Mill Street location was kind, wonderful and very helpful! We may go to that location just because of Sylvia! I had a slightly uncomfortable moment, when a song came on that reminded me of my kid who passed this year...I apologized while tearing up and awkwardly tried to press forward... Long and short, I was met with kindness, and patience while stumbling through my order, leaving with a full belly, full heart, and a nod to God for something I hadn't realized I needed. We had a client recommend the Biscuits and Gravy burrito and it did not disappoint. My coworker and I got there around 730am almost 8am. Not busy at all and we were able to walk right up to the counter to order. We waited about 10 minutes and took our burritos to go. This burrito is AMAZING. Wow! From entering into this place until we left, it was a pleasant experience. We were greeted by the friendly staff while we waited in line. We saw they had baked goods on the counter for only $1 and we thought why not! And even though they said it was a day old, it was still very delicious! I kept contemplating on buying more because you can't get cookies for a $1 anymore. We got the Dirka Dirka on jalapeño cheddar bread and the gnar burrito. I'm impressed by Full Belly Deli every single time. We love it so much and it is definitely in our top choices for lunch. I have not had a chance to try breakfast yet, but can't wait next time. Today I chose the Turkey Pesto signature cold sandwich on Focaccia. It has oven roasted turkey, Swiss cheese, spinach, roasted red peppers, and pesto sauce. I mean, it is sensational with every bite. I highly recommend this and can't wait to go back soon to have it again. I know I'll be craving it shortly. Not pictured but, the macaroni salad is an absolute must have! It's not heavy on the mayo either. It's more mustard forward and we always add a little bit of ground black pepper. I also love the small pieces of celery in there, it's a nice crunch to the salad. This was my third time trying full belly deli and it just isn't the spot for me. I have gotten the chicken pesto sandwich in the past but the bread that it comes on is so hard and completely tore up my mouth. This time around I kept that in mind and ordered a veggie sandwich on a hoagie and it was just okay. The sandwich was somehow very dry despite having condiments, yet also got soggy from the vegetables. I will say, the portion is HUGE. Definitely worth the price for the size of sandwich. This is Another place I saw on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. "I decided to give them a try. They are in a strip mall, in an industrial area east of the Carson City Freeway. it was clean and bright inside, and everybody was friendly. As usual, I wanted to try what Guy had, so I had the biscuits and gravy burrito. A Biscuit, chorizo gravy, cheese, and hashbrowns, in a burrito! The biscuit was light and fluffy, and the hashbrown had a very nice flavor and crunch. However, for me, the chorizo gravy was *VERY* rich. It was much richer than the way Guy described it on TV. It was a good burrito, just a bit too rich for my personal taste. It's a great concept, but maybe just my tastes have changed a bit. The prices were very reasonable, and they do offer a military/veterans discount. They have a lot of other great looking items on the menu. The name of this business definitely does disappoint! When you come here hungry, I am almost guarantee that you will leave here with a full belly. Which takes me to one of Reno's most popular hole-in-the-wall sandwich joints known none other than "Full Belly Deli". Located in a small strip-mall on Mill St. and adjacent to Terminal Way, this popular sandwich spot is located relatively close to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and has been in operation dating back to 2015. They do have two other locations; one is Midtown Reno while the other is in Truckee, CA. They do have fairly generous hours of operation being opened Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm while being closed on Sunday. During my visit which was on the afternoon of Saturday 7/1/2023 at around 12pm, it was quite busy but I still parked relatively close to the main entrance. This place does offer quite a bit of indoor seating with a few outdoor tables for the more comfortable Reno days. As far as the menu goes, damn they offer a TON of options here! For breakfast, they carry at least half a dozen types of bagels (with bagel spreads), breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, quesaillas, and much more. They also have a nice variety of salads (for those watching the carbs) and wraps. But the real winner here are their sandwiches. Everything in their 'specialty lineup' that ranges from Cheesesteak, Cuban, Reuben, Pastrami, Roast Beef, BLT, Tri-Tip, Tuna Melt, and much more. And of course you can BYO (build-your-own) sandwich with all the major cold cuts, cheeses, spreads, and bread rolls to truly customize your sandwich. I ended up trying their "Cuban" sandwich (on a French hoagie roll) which consisted of roasted pork, black forest ham, FBD pickles, swiss cheese, and Mojo mustard sauce. Total price was a reasonable $12.99 + tax. The ordering process here is fairly simple as you go up to the counter, tell them what you want, and they call your name. This place also offers quite a bit of add-on including regular/kettle chips, fountain drinks, tea, coffee, and beer. And we're not talking your plain old Coors or Bud, they have IPA's and flavored stouts. The time it took for them to make my sandwich after I ordered was only around 10 minutes. Not bad since this place was filled with hungry customers, families, and several Reno Fire Department employees waiting for their lunch. Once my name was called and I opened up the wrapping, I was quite amazed how large this sandwich was. They definitely loaded this up with pork, ham, and the mustard to give it that spice. One small downfall was that the toasted bread was a little dry but still edible enough to eat. I actually only finished half of my sandwich while I ate the other half hours later. Still an overall above average sandwich; especially if you're on an empty stomach. All in all, "Full Belly Deli" (at the Mill St. location) gets an above average four star rating from me. Had there been a bit more condiments and a softer, moister bread, I would probably up this review to five stars. But if you're hungry and on a budget, give this small business a try because I can guarantee you that you'll have a full belly after eating here! read more
