Blonde girl with glasses took my boyfriend's and my order. I ordered a #2 (Ham & Swiss) on a spinach wrap and asked to substitute Swiss for Cheddar, and my boyfriend ordered a #3 (Turkey & Cheddar) on wheat. I'm not sure if she's new, but she immediately got confused with our orders. I said I wanted just mayo, boyfriend wanted mayo and mustard. Well apparently that was too much information overload, because she then started making both of our sandwiches as a #3, and asked my boyfriend if he wanted Swiss cheese...even though the #3 comes with cheddar automatically. Tiffany, the owner, then came over and asked me "you wanted all the produce right" as I replied with "no I wanted no produce but she didn't ask me that step yet." Turns out she had put all the usual Togos produce on my wrap without asking me. So Tiffany had to throw my first order out, and then completely remake it, as my boyfriend decided to lean on the counter and watch the first girl make his sandwich to ensure she got it right. I was not a fan however of how Tiffany kept pointing out and asking why I didn't want produce. I get trying to save your staff from embarrassment when they mess an order up, but continuing to push me as to why I didn't want produce, was a little ridiculous. I felt like I was being judged for how I wanted my wrap. I've never liked the tall counters at Togos and this is the prime example as to why.... Togos makes some good sandwiches. Their #9 Pastrami has been a long time favorite. This particular Togos store is in a convenient shopping center, since I often pass by and stop here on the way for Togos and other businesses here (Gong Cha and Super Burrito). Togos is located at the southern end where parking is super easy to get. Never had a problem finding a spot at this end of the shopping center. The store is small and does mostly take out orders. Get their app! It makes ordering so easy. Unfortunately, the last order through their app came out all wrong on both sandwiches. The person making sandwiches needs to pay more attention to detail. We ordered 2 of the BLAT sandwiches (BLAT = bacon lettuce avocado tomato) on Parmesan bread. Picked up the sandwiches and were disappointed when we opened up our wrapped sandwiches to discover that they forgot to add tomatoes to BOTH of the BLAT sandwiches. They really screwed that up. See photos of both sandwiches. It wasn't worth the drive back to the store to let them know about their mistakes. The sandwiches were still delicious with the missing tomatoes. However they would have been better if they remembered to add the tomatoes. The Parmesan bread was pretty good. I appreciate that it was on the flatter side. I just don't want a sandwich to be mostly bread. The bacon was heavenly. Good saltiness and crunchy. I had no idea there was a TOGO'S right by the gym. I kinda lumped TOGO's with Subways so I was so surprised at how friendly the workers here were. Upon walking in, we were actually greeted despite how busy they were. We came on a Saturday around noon and there was a long line. Luckily I ordered online and my order was ready when I walked in. I got their new French Dip (filled with roast beef) and Pastrami Dip. Both came with piping hot au jus on the side for dipping. oh my godddd it was sooo good!!! I did not have high hopes but it far exceeded it. They did forget the pepperocinis I added on the sandwiches which I think would've elevated the flavor profile but it was still so good. I will say that it was pretty pricey. Two 9-inch sandwiches with chips and a large drink came out to $45 so that did take me by surprise. I went to the ToGos at El Paseo bc I was inspired by their ads for the new "Pretzelrami" which comes on a pretzel roll, pickles, mustard and provolone cheese. I ordered it with extra meat which makes it 1/3 lb. I was disappointed: it was greasy, heavily laden with black pepper, (don't get me wrong, I'm a Big Fan of black pepper! And it is a big part of the flavor of pastrami. But it was too much!) The cheese was 2 THIN square slices of cheese which looked more like American, but not a good quality as I couldn't even taste it. It was $16.95. I don 't mind the price if it's got the quality, but it didn't pass the muster (or pass mustard !) Otherwise, the place was clean, free of odors, and service was great. I paid $24 for a pick up of a large pastrami sandwich with cheese and extra meat. Got the sandwich didn't look like there was apparently any extra meat in there and then didn't seem like there was any cheese in there at least I couldn't taste it and I've been eating Togo sandwiches since I'm 15 years old Called the store and they said that the cheese was blended into the meat? What? If you order cheese on a hot sandwich, shouldn't you realize that the cheese is in there if it's blended in then that's a problem with the sandwich cost $24. I will try another TOGO'S around here, but honestly, if this is the state of what Togo franchise sandwiches are like now I won't be coming back. What a shame it used to be a really great sandwich place. This was our go to lunch spot when we were in California. I think we stopped here two or three times while we were visiting family in California. They have some great sandwich combinations that puts them a cut above all the other sandwich making places. On the first time I chose to get the #16 Italian. The Italian has Mortadella, capicola, salami, ham, and provolone. I think the next time I had the chicken Philly cheesesteak. Both of them were so good. The sandwich makers are so good and they really customize your order the way that you want it. I also liked that they had kids meals. We got my daughter the meatball sub and they were able to make it kids size for her. Best thing also, if you check into Yelp, you get a free fountain drink. This Togo's is great. Their sandwiches and ingredients are ways fresh and consistent. They also have a machine that does the syrups so I can have a cherry coke. Yay! Came in after my son's football game and didn't even stop to check the time. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a large smile. We noticed the lights were a little dim and asked were they still open and the guy said "no, but I can take care of you as long as it's not a hot sandwich." This was great customer service!!! We apologized and said we would leave but he was extremely helpful and willing to accommodate us and to let us know it wasn't a problem. I hate being that person that goes into a place when it's just closing or closed and getting things .This guy made us feel comfortable and not guilty and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. I was in the mood for Subway across the street. When i pulled into the Homestead Center shopping center, the entire parking lot was full. Looks like there was some big event at the bowling alley. I gave up on trying to find parking and decided to haul @$$ kitty corner to Loehmann's Plaza (if it's even still called that) to go to Togo's. This Togo's (just like the aforementioned Subway) has been located here in this shopping center for years. I hadn't stepped in here in ages, so I wasn't sure what to expect going in. Everything looked mostly the same. I ended up ordering a large turkey and cheese on whole wheat. All they had left for bread options were white and whole wheat, but I like whole wheat bread so it wasn't an issue for me. The lady who was prepping my sandwich told me that the previous longtime owner had since left, and that a new owner had taken over. That was a little bit of a bummer, as the previous owner was often there at the store helping his employees and making sure everything was going smoothly. I paid $10.75 for my sandwich. Not the cheapest out there, and certainly more expensive than the $5 footlong at Subway. The one thing, though, that I really like about Togo's, and this one, is that they don't skimp on ingredients or toppings. There was plenty of turkey, cheese, lettuce, and onions in my sandwich. There was so much lettuce, in fact, that it kept falling out of the sandwich as I was eating it. Other facts: * Sandwich sizes here are either small or large. * They only have four types of bread to choose from: whole wheat, white, sourdough, and parmesan * They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, they get four stars. I'm glad to see them still going strong after all these years. If you're standing under order they will assume you're waiting for pickup. Both my bf and I were wanting something quick and "healthy" so we decided to get togos since it's close by to our house. We go inside and head under the order sign. We didn't get acknowledged since the person was rushing to make online orders, totally understandable. While we were waiting we were looking at the menu debating on what we were going to get. The person who was making sandwiches approached us and says another employee would be with us after she finishes washing some salads we said no worries because we know they make salads as well. So we waited and noticed the individual walking out, the person who was out in front scolded at the lady "where's the salad I need that salad!" Me and my bf didn't say anything but heard how they spoke. Another couple walked in and immediately they were greeted and asked if they were picking up or placing an order, the worker told them to wait behind us. Like another 2 mins the worker approaches to the couple behind us and asked them what would they like to order? The couple asked the worker aren't you going to take their order? I promised myself that I'd never write a review for a fast food place, but this story just has to be shared. So my dad and I went here this past Friday night to get sandwiches. It turned out they were all out of white bread, but that was fine with me since I like getting wheat and my dad was okay with sourdough. As we were waiting for our sandwiches to be prepared, a family of 3 was also ordering. It was a father, mother, and their kid. They had finished ordering the first sandwich and the lady behind the counter had it all made up. She then asked them what they wanted next, and it was something (I forget) on white bread. She informed them that they were all out of white bread in the size they wanted and they only had wheat left. The family looked at each other and decided that was definitely NOT what they wanted. They then proceeded to to say never mind and if they didn't have white bread they weren't going to eat there. The lady held up the already-made sandwich they had ordered and the husband said they didn't want it and the family walked out. LEAVING BEHIND A PERFECTLY GOOD SANDWICH THAT THEY HAD ORDERED. What was wrong with those people!? At least pay for what you have already ordered. It's not like they can just put it back for another customer. To avoid things like this I think they should have people pay after they order, but before they make the sandwiches. I guess we looked pretty stunned because the guy who was making our sandwiches told us that it was somewhat common. He mentioned that business had been down the past few weeks, so they had prepared less bread to match the demand. But for some reason business had gone up that day and they were having a hard time trying to fulfill all the orders. Anyway, props to them for handling the situation professionally and not making a scene. I would have been mad, but I guess there's no way to force them to pay. In the end, they are customers and businesses have to treat them well (even when they are in the wrong). As we were leaving, a father and son walked in and the son ordered a sandwich on white bread. They got the same response about being out of white bread for the night. The son expressed his distaste and the father replied, "Oh come on, it's not that bad and it's more healthy." To start off I want to say I love togos but this location it's horrible service and very dirty. I walked in a there was one other costumer ahead of me, I placed my order and waited almost 15mins just get my sandwich. The twins that work are very rude and don't know how to communicate at all and if you ask anything they seem almost mad. The one twin doing my sandwich stop making it to go to the cash register and help someone while there was another extra 2 available employees, he them took his gloves off and once he was done put them back on like if there reusable,like come on you literally have a box of them right behind you,change them. Another thing I saw that it's pretty GROSS is the handles of the refrigerator they use to keep their cut products is super duty almost a shell around the whole handle, you can tell that it's been a very long time that it hasn't been clean, it sucks because they are are touching that handle every time they are preparing the sandwich. Overall if you want a decent sandwich I would avoid this location and go elsewhere, until they address their issues and train their staff on how to handle food and provide at least the essentials of costumer service. read more
