We wanted to finish our U.S. trip with Chick-fil-A, so we visited the Sunnyvale location. There, we experienced some of the best service we have ever had. I'm not sure if I remember the name correctly, but I believe the employee was a Korean staff member named JW Lee. It was our first time visiting Chick-fil-A, and he kindly recommended the menu for us and explained everything so carefully. He was very thoughtful and friendly, and we were truly touched by his kindness. Thanks to him, we were able to end our trip in such a happy and warm way. Of course, the chicken burger and chicken biscuit were so delicious, and the sauce combinations he recommended were perfect too. It was more than just a meal -- it became a really special memory for us. Because of him, we now have such a beautiful memory of this Chick-fil-A location, and it made us want to visit again someday. I really think employees like him deserve recognition, so I wanted to leave the best review I could. More than anything, I hope he sees this message. I truly want to thank him again. My friend catered from Chick-fil-A this past Wednesday for lunch as we had a lunch event. Every box was neatly packed with one chicken wrap or spicy crispy chicken, one waffle potato chip, one cookie, one mint, chick-Fil-A sauces, napkin, and mini purell hand wipes. I was so hungry and ate everything inside the box. I like it that everyone can just grab a box and get seated for our lunch event. The chicken was fresh, everything was good. I had no idea that I had to order it instead of "pick-up", however, I saw this person who was kind, patient, and genuinely welcoming. I was a little unsure about the order I needed to pick up, but Alex helped me to get it done. His professionalism, positive attitude, and willingness to help made the entire experience stress-free. It's all standard affair for a Chick-fil-A. There's a small little playground here. The service is actually worse though than a normal Chick-fil-A. No one was at the mobile pickup area, and when they were, it seemed like they were talking to their friends first even with me waiting in line. This has been the most disrespectful and disappointing service I've received at any Chick-fil-A location in the Bay Area or anywhere else. I visited the restaurant at approximately 11:25 AM on July 22nd to order lunch. I ordered a Cobb salad and a chocolate milkshake. I specifically told the drive-thru employee no bacon on the salad due to allergies and religious accommodations. After placing my order, I proceeded to the window, where I was handed a milkshake that I later discovered was half-melted. The employee then handed me my bag, and I asked again to confirm if the salad had no bacon. She stated that it did include bacon and instructed me to park ahead while they remade it. I waited approximately 5-6 minutes before being given a fresh Cobb salad. I did not eat the salad immediately and instead saved it for my lunch break shortly afterward. Upon eating and revealing the layers of the salad, I discovered what appeared to be bacon bits. I was then unable to finish my meal due to my dietary restrictions. As a college student with a demanding schedule, I was not able to call the same day. I called back on July 25th and spoke to a manager who repeatedly said he couldn't hear me although the loud background noise from the restaurant was clearly the issue. I called back again and spoke to Brian, who initially seemed uninterested and unhelpful. He struggled to guide me on how to locate the drive-thru number in the Chick-fil-A app and ultimately told me there was nothing he could do because I didn't call the same day. This completely ignores the reality that people have responsibilities and cannot always call immediately about a restaurant issue. My issue was not properly acknowledged. Brian implied it was my fault for not triple-checking my order and told me to just call back the next day to speak with the general manager. When I requested a call-back, he told me that the manager would not call me specifically. This level of customer service is unacceptable. The professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction at this location are lacking. I strongly recommend reviewing operations at this Chick-fil-A, especially regarding food safety, allergy handling, and customer service standards. Until then, I urge all customers to triple-check their orders before driving off especially if they have allergies or dietary restrictions. read more

Very friendly staff the only issue I have is the drive-through line goes into El Camino Real and there is always traffic getting in overall the food is always hot and fresh and Chick-fil-A is my favorite chicken place to eat so I would definitely recommend coming in and just dining in here in the drive-through is a bit hectic read more

Service was pretty good per usual. I always try to avoid drive through bc the lines would get too long. I'd recommend to go in to order. I got the deluxe chicken sandwich meal. Huge fan of their waffle fries (but it's only good fresh, so eat them while it's still hot!) the sandwhich is pretty straightforward and had some lettuce and tomato. I feel like this location is particular needs an expansion or bigger parking lot to accommodate the incoming and outgoing traffic and it not affecting the drive through line with all of the cars. I've also tried their b fast items but the drawback is that it closes early @10:30. Wish it stayed open longer or had the option for al all day breakfast. read more

My wife and I always use the mobile app to order ahead and then pickup via the Drive Thru line. You don't usually have to wait long and service is easy - just give the name on your order to the attendant at the drive thru line (usually their walking around with tablets taking orders farther back in the line if it's busy). Staff in the drive thru are always friendly. Using the mobile app my wife tries to get us some free side with points if she can - this time we were just craving an after-dinner snack and she was able to buy a mac and cheese and get some waffle fries for free. They definitely have one of the best fast food fries (especially dipped in their sauce). This time, when we pulled up to the food window they said they were still cooking a new batch of the mac and cheese so we had to pull into a parking spot and wait for them to bring our order out (the lot is kinda cramped to park in). It actually took like 15 minutes, which felt like a long while after already waiting 5 minutes in the drive thru line, but it paid off because both the mac and cheese and the fries were piping hot. We didn't even wait to drive home, we devoured our food in the car. I love to get the spicy chicken sandwich with extra pickles and a side of waffle fries. My favorite thing to do with my sandwich is to add Buffalo sauce on the chicken for added heat, fries on next, and chick-fil-sauce. After eating the sandwich this way, I have not gone back to a plain old spicy chicken sandwich. A lot of the workers are fairly young (probably high schoolers) but with good manners. They treat their customers really well. The lines can be pretty long when coming during busy hours but it goes by quick. Ordering inside is usually quicker for me. The window art are all so amazing! I think Chick-fil-A is fine, but I really don't understand the love for their food. This is coming from someone that loves chicken sandwiches. I think there are other restaurants that have as good, if not better and larger, chicken sandwiches compared to Chick-fil-A. I definitely would not wait in a long line for their food, or fight to figure out parking on a busy day. All in all, Chick-fil-A is fine, but it's not worth the traffic, wait, or hassle. I also think their prices are a bit high compared to other places given the quantity and what you're getting. The one thing that really bothers me about this location is their driveway setup. I get this is probably the city's fault for approving the plans, but when there is a backup, Chick-fil-A blocks a MAJOR intersection. It's really a terrible design, and I blame both the restaurant and the city for this. I was around when they opened the first Bay Area Chick-Fil-A in San Jose (close to the First St. development). It was quite a hubbub. They open the one in Sunnyvale and it's basically 'meh'. The drive-thru workers are impolite at best. I do realize they're not paid as much as most people in the area and it's possible they have to drive-in from the East Bay (not sure if that's profitable) or live with someone around or both. But some days, it's simply a chicken sandwich. If you don't like the people you're working for or the salary they pay you, you're free to take the risk of starting your own business. read more

Usually the go to CFA when in the area. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky as it is located off of El Camino. As for the food it is always consistent no matter what you order. What's not to love about CFA? People are amazing and the business is a model of efficiency. The chicken and milkshakes are always perfect, though I'm personally not a waffle fries fan.
