First time here. They were recommended by my neighbor, and I could not have been happier. Had my commuter car in for brakes and an oil change. Thought for sure I needed brakes all around and possibly rotors. I was pleased when he called to say back brakes are great and we can resurface your rotors! Great news, and great pricing. I used to frequent Skip's in Los Altos when we lived there. I wanted to find a similar place to get my tires (4 cars total), brakes and other auto work done as needed. Tokay (Goodyear) Tire in Lodi has surpassed my expectations in all categories. From tires and a new radiator to wiring my pull-trailer for lights and replacing hoses...Tokay Tire does it all. And it's been 4 years so about time to give them a 'thumbs up' Matt (owner) is the best and Chuck in the shop knows what he's doing. It's a family atmosphere - honest and timely. Outstanding service, best of the best. I had an issue with a Goodyear on my truck where a anomaly started forming on the treadwear of the tire. After dismounting it at a different shop I had contacted Goodyear and they gave me Mark's phone number for the warranty service. From start to finish Mark and their crew were absolutely amazing at handling the claim and extremely professional at expediting the problem for me. I've used this business twice now. My experiences have been amazing. The first time, I went to them for tires. They gave me an estimate for the size tires on my car. I approved the work. Then they came back and said that my car actually took a smaller size originally, and they recommended that I use the original smaller size at a savings of nearly $300!!!! I was totally prepared to pay the higher price, not having any idea that the tires that I had were bigger. The owner of the place did not have to clue me into that savings! Amazing! So of course, when my front end was making a noise, I took it back. They found the problem to be a wheel bearing and also I needed front brakes. Not surprising! Well, I scheduled the work. Coincidentally, my sister in St. Louis got front brakes on her car the same week. She paid THREE TIMES what I paid! Three times! Her bill for ONLY front brakes in St. Louis, was the same as mine for front brakes and a wheel bearing in California! That tells me that Tokay Tire Service is a first-class outfit, charging more than reasonable rates for excellent service. I wish I could give them more than five stars! Judging from my two experiences, you can trust these people and you will get quality service at a fair price. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

I came here for a nail in my tire and they patched my tire up. The tire started leaking air and I brought it back in. They said they didn't know why my tire was leaking and just redid the same patch. My tire still kept leaking so I took my car into another tire shop for a second opinion. The new tire shop found a nail in my tire and patched it. My tire no longer leaks. read more

I had never used this company before, but I had a really bad experience with Les Schwab and this place popped up in a Google search. I scheduled appointment to have my tired rebalanced because of a constant vibration. They got it done quickly and I was on my way, unfortunately, the vibration was still there. I called back in and spoke with Matt and he said bring it back and they would take a look. I did, the rebalanced the tires no charge, but again, it did not hold. Called Matt again and he said he would look into my car's history to see if he could find out anything. Les Schwab also did an alignment, but they screwed that up too. Matt took extra time to research my car (2017 Prius Prime Advanced) and he learned that you must reset the yaw controls through the onboard computer. I went back in and in less than an hour, he had the car back to normal. He didn't charge me anything except for the initial service, even though I tried to pay him extra. You just don't find companies like this much anymore. Excellent service and quality work. Hands down one of the best experiences I have had anywhere in a long while. read more

Matt Haslam is the Sales Manager and one of the rudest people I have ever talked to on the phone. Instead of listening to what I had to say he accused me of being a sales person and hung up on me. His loss that I need 4 new tires and rims. Based on how I was treated on the phone I would hate to have to deal with that in person as I'm handing them my money. read more

Terrible customer service. They used the old Bates and switch. They sold a sheet of coupons door to door. I bought the coupons to help a local business, but when I went to redeem the coupons they had a bunch of hidden fees/charges. Free did not mean free. I paid the extra money. They advertise free top off service on all fluids. I took the vehicle back to get a the oil topped off , however when i took the vehicle back they advised me they would not top off any fluid for free as they advertise. Because I used the coupon. I recommend trying a different shop that actually honors what they advertise. read more

Went in on a Tuesday morning early. Told me they would have to keep my truck for three hours to do a simple rotation! Ok, they're busy I get it. So I made an appointment for 9am on Friday. Dropped my truck off. Guy told me it would take an hr or so. That's fine. I go do what I need to do. I come back an hour and some change later and they still hadn't even started!!! I have stuff to do. So basically whether I make an appointment or not it takes 2+hrs to get a rotation here. Staff was somewhat friendly. I do not recommend this place at all. Ridiculous! read more
