I have been considering this cute joint for some time and haven't gone because of dodgy parking and it's in the middle of the rush hour traffic. But really pleased that I did! I think I found my casual home sushi spot! The hand rolls are yummy, esp the crab, and there's a really wide selection of seared and creative fish dishes! The service is a littttle slow but I will update this accordingly if that was a one off thing. And I'm excited to check out the happy hour! read more

This was the last stop on our road trip because my hubby wanted sushi. The photos looked appetizing, so we drove here and found street parking nearby. Since it was a Sunday, they had happy hour specials all day! We were seated promptly at the bar and the restaurant was pretty empty. He ordered a Sapporo for himself and we shared the spicy tuna, Lady Gaga, lemon roll, Seasons Change, and the double shrimp roll. I loved the presentation of all the dishes. Everything was decorated nicely and some came with a purple orchid as well. However, the quality and flavors of the items we got weren't so great. I've been ordering from this restaurant for years since it's close by and the food is good. But today they fed me sesame seeds which I'm highly allergic to and was written all over the order. I had to use my epi pen right away. It comes with some unpleasant side effects for me. It's not the first time either. So I've decided to let people know if you have food allergies don't eat here. This review is not for the food, but the lack of service, I came here last week with my friend whose visiting from out of town, i had told her about this place and we were both excited to try it. We walked in at 6:40 pm thinking we can still do happy hour(Happy hour is listed from 5-7pm)we were sat at the bar, and when i asked them if we can do the happy hour, i was ignored, i asked three times and was ignored each time and finally was told no happy hour, mind you a couple had just sat down right before we walked in, with happy hour menus and hadn't ordered yet. You shouldn't advertise that you're serving happy hr until a certain time and then say no when a customer walks in, i've never been told no anywhere else, id understand if i walked in 5/10 mins before end of happy hour, but cmon! i would have gladly ordered off the regular menu as well, and was hoping to make it my go to sushi spot, since moving into the area but im not sure i will be coming back.. read more

Love the Spicy Tuna rools and Lemon Rolls. Some of the best fancy and good texture sushi here in Los Angeles. We were here a month ago up in the hills to enjoy some great food. Tuna Rolls are smacking good. I also ordered Calamari. This place has good menu options. Great place , and good people. I will be back for more. read more

Don't mind the location - this place was such a gem. Pulling up to a gas station parking lot had us a bit weary but I am so glad that we stayed to try the food because it was some of the best sushi that I've had for the price they offer! Despite the iffy location, they actually have a very cute outdoor seating area as well as indoor seating. Everything that we had was delicious - all tasted so fresh and full of flavor. Located off Highway 101 near Universal Studios Hollywood and opens late, this is a good spot to dine at after a day in the park and if you don't want to dine at the City Walk. We went late on a Friday, around 9:30pm, and were immediately seated. Ordered: - Agedashi Tofu, good sized order - Miso Cod with Kale Tempura - Alaska King Crab Noodles, creamy rich with 2 legs - Poke Salad - Grilled Salmon Collar and Baked Salmon Roll Combo All were tasty. I've been coming to Tokyo Cube since they opened and they just keep getting better and better. Their entrees are delicious and varied. Their prices are moderate and they offer a happy hour salmon with truffle that is to die for. My only recommendation is to have a longer happy hour. :) but that won't stop me from coming back. Very authentic food and service. Be patient if you are there and it's packed. And order the truffle salmon. read more

Came here to order food ab 5 minutes before they opened at 5 before we went to universal horror nights. my bf asked if they had a bathroom to make sure he didn't have to walk to Starbucks to use the bathroom. Went went inside when they opened and while me and my friend were looking at the menu and my bf was in the bathroom we heard the employees saying we were just in there to use the bathroom and leave. like we were pretending to look at the menu? WOW... just wow. ive tried a lot of restaurants and this hole in the wall took me by a pleasant surprise. dont be fooled by the outside/location. i was skeptical because its right next to the street and gas station, but it is SOOOO GOOOD!! i got the Black Garlic Ramen, Hollywood Roll, and Salmon Skin Salad. all of them were Sooooo delicious!!! customer service was the best. the guy who served us was so kind and so sweet. im surprised by the food and the customer service. i would definitely come here again!!! Great little spot with tons of options, friendly staff and a cute outdoor patio. The Takoyaki was SO good, I can't wait to go back and order more- highly recommend!! I ordered the black garlic miso ramen which was a generous portion. I wasn't a fan of the chicken in this specific order but still had delicious flavor in the broth and other toppings. This is my second visit. The food is really good and I love that you can get brown rice as an option. The service.... awful. There is a language barrier but the food makes up for it. The worst ramen ever I had in LA.. Noodle was too saggy, couldn't eat. I asked them to boil it harder and they did it for me which was very very kind, but it didn't make any changes. I think they are using something wrong noodle that doesn't fit ramen. But soup and vegetable were okay. The only thing is noodle... We left most of all. We had only ramen so not sure about other dishes. But the server lady was a really nice person. Hope they'll find better noddle in the future, steam chicken instead of frying, no sesame, then it'll become a lot more authentic ramen. read more

It's been rainy the pst few days here in LA and my partner and I were in the mood for something new, not too far away, good and soul warming. (I know we're difficult!) We opted for Tokyo Cube and decided to go for their ramen. OH MY GOD! I cannot believe we have never tried their ramen. It was just what we needed, these large bowls of warm hugs so enticing, I almost fell in and drowned. Tom Yum: 5/5 I got the Tom Yum Miso with chicken and what a treat. It had just the right amount of spice and the flavor was e hanged by the hint of miso. I adore Hot and Sour Chinese soup so this twist on that with the addition of bok Chou, sprouts, seaweed, noodles, egg and mushrooms was just what I needed. Shoyu Ramen: 5/5 Great and flavorful broth with tons of vegetables! To bring things to the next level their to go packaging for the ramen is A++. They come in a large microwave safe bowl with two separate compartments. One for the broth and the other for proteins and vegetables. I highly recommend. read more

Customer service, top notch. Me and my family was heading home from Disneyland and decided to go see the 'HOLLYWOOD' sign. Got off the freeway to find a spot for some snacks. Tokyo Cube was next door and I ventured in. It was before they were opened, but there door was ajar. So I walked in. Those guys were so gracious and polite they made me wonder if I was still in LA. I stuck around until they opened and had some excellent Hamachi and Unagi. We were in that city for 3 days and Tokyo Cube was by far our best dining experience. read more

This is a great Asian Fusion Restaurant. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the fish is high quality. My husband had the sushi combo that comes with a choice of stuff we had the tempura, also miso soup and salad. I had the hand roll combo which also comes with miso soup and salad.
