The taste is just blah, average at best. There is flavor, but it is nothing compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. This place is special. My family and I have enjoyed coming here for the past couple years or so and have watched it slowly transform into a lively and thriving business. The food is GREAT. I say with confidence that they have the best salmon roll in town (I mean that. THE BEST) and their salad dressing is a standout. Everything is quality and tastes amazing. My 18 month old loves the tempura veggies and sticky rice. My husband loves their spicy teriyaki chicken, avocado roll and miso. And me? I literally love everything. Family of 3, when we normally go to some of our old spots, we'd spend $125-155 easily. After tax and tip, spent $74 dollars. Point 2 - Quality. Wow! Obviously fearful because of the price, was skeptical and if it wasn't for my friends telling me how food the food was...why did I wait so long? Point 3 - Staff. Called 20 mins before arriving. Order ready, and stacked perfectly. The two people working the counter knew exactly what and where our order was and the kicker, pulled order, went over to another table. Sat a safe distance and check That item was there. All sauces and needs for each dish perfectly packaged. I'm not accustomed to ordering sushi to go (and really do not care for grocery sushi whatsoever ) and I will definitely be back to order to go here. The Jalapeño Bomb is the best ever, here, but should be eaten in the car, crispy and hot if you have a drive! All the other rolls and nigiri we ordered was fresh and excellent. If you get rolls with sauce like spicy mayo or unagi sauce, consider paying the $.50 to get the sauce on the side- this keeps the sauce off the to go container. Tucked in next to Peets Coffee, corner of Chanate and Mendocino, sits this gem of a family owned Japanese restaurant. We were greeted by a very polite young man. He helped us order on the laptop that sits under the menu near the front door. He let us know it would take 20 min before we could be served, but we could sit at any of the few tables available. I noticed all the hard-working people behind the clear screen of the kitchen. Then I noticed all the take out orders being served up. Very casual, delicious food. These poor employees get packed with orders at the end of the night, and they have to remake some ingredients. Rice etc to even make the delicious food. I am currently waiting with two other customers for ~30 mins after our texted ETA, and the customers are so sour. The lady here was also trying to appease the angry customers with free additional things cause they were so verbal about the wait. My go to sushi joint for a sushiritto! I have tried other items too but keep going back for the Ahi sushiritto, definitely my fav. I haven't dined-in, always for take out. Easy to order online, run in and pick up. They text you when it's ready so you don't wait around which is nice. Great for a quick stop to pick up lunch or dinner after running errands. The lady that is always there is very friendly and sweet. If you are looking for an up scale sushi place to dine in, this is not it. They do have some seating though. This is one of those reviews I love leaving! I was quite surprised with a name like quick sushi they would have been so good and high-quality. While I admit the portions were on the smaller side, I would much rather they put less rice than try to make the rolls appear large by making the rolls basically all rice. Real sushi lovers understand the need for balance lol. They have a very different ordering style at this restaurant, you go to your table and scan a QR code with your camera, click on the menu and you order that way, then a robot butler style machine rolls your sushi to your table and someone removes the food and places it on your table. It was a very interesting and unique experience in that regard. Figuring out the QR code style of ordering was a little tricky, especially when you are super hungry, but the owner was incredibly sweet and helped me out. The sushi was very good, they had Escalar which made my heart happy and the fish tasted fatty and fresh. We weren't exactly big fans of the teriyaki sauce on our rolls, seems like maybe a lot of the rolls come with teriyaki and spicy mayo? We didn't know how to remove the sauce, I don't recall it being an option. They are priced very well, appropriate for the amount of food that you get, definitely recommend! read more

I went in for carry out which felt like was almost like eating in, with their no frills seating and the same JBL bluetooth speaker I have in my bedroom, the quality of the actual sushi was superb. I got the "Big Guy" #81 roll and the avocado roll and they were well made and satisfying.
